We'll get there fast and then we'll take it slow...
Trevor and peoples walked the early night streets of Koromo, in the upscale tourist district far from most of the vampires. Theodore carefully folded and stowed his sunglasses in a case. Santi let his sunnies hang on that nose. The buildings were white and shiny even in the night. Humans were everywhere.
Theodore- "You feel that sun slip Santi- away? What a feeling." "Magic."

Trevor - "Every little change in the air is all the more present for me now, but nothing compares."

Theodore- "I suppose you have a whole new lifetime of travel in you! I always say it's an absolute imperative that one travels. Never did get to your country, but I have seen your pottery. Quite exquisite."

Santi- "Kohon... An island nation like Koromo. I don't know much of it, I'm afraid."

Trevor - "Don't worry about it. In the time spent outside of my country, most people I meet either confuse Songese culture with Kohonese culture, or are only familiar with fictionalized history of our ancient warring eras."

Theodore- "True, oh dear, I'm afraid you've got my number. I never did travel the east thoroughly. I did chase a progenitor's caravan through Cobhulia." Theodore- "Do you think one day you may ever return to your country? I haven't decided where I shall go when we've won this battle. How about you, Santi?"

Santi- "Koromo might be as good as it gets. I don't just say that because I am from here."

Trevor wore a wistful smile at the mention of returning home.
Trevor - "I have thought about it. I grew up in the countryside, and cities like Harlan don't feel quite like home." On several occasions he thought of asking a spirit to spy on far away loved ones, but always changed his mind in the last moment.

Theodore- "Wherever I go simply must have a good maritime culture, but I too feel the call of the wild! While nice to have modern conveniences straight at hand, I'd give it all up for a beautiful sunset free of industrial smog.
Theodore- "I'm sure wherever we go, we shall stay friends eternally. Trevor, what sort of tales does your culture have about our kind?" ((feel free to make anything up if we haven't already discussed it. C-- opinions?))

Santi- "Good question. It is said there are vampires like us everywhere. You did not know them as a mortal, but legends may say something of the attitudes of your local undead." ((feel free to modify something from whatever u know of japanese folklore, or have him answer negatory.))

Trevor - "In early Kohonese folklore there are overlapping qualities with many supernatural beings. Our image of vampires share similarities with our ghosts."

Theodore- "It's fascinating the degree to which fiction does mirror our reality. Were the writers just astute, did they have some insight into the supernatural? Or do our natures model themselves after the cultures in which we exist?"
Theodore- "Oooh, Trevor, I'm so happy we can have these intellectual discussions now!"

There were all manner of gauzy, colorful garments of a rather unisex nature. Tropical shirts, lightweight and light color pants, rough-hewn sandals that would probably give a human horrible blisters. Theodore- "Perhaps a bit touristy, though as for myself, I have no hope of ever appearing like a native. I'm rather fond of soft, but vivid colors. How about the two of you? Santi, you haven't had much of an opportunity for personal expression. Do you think it's time?"
