Thy Dungyeon Maestyr Dr. Jar Harriet-- You run and run, feeling as though the creature is right on your tail yet it never quite catches you. The floor shakes with its heavy footfalls. Up ahead, your flashlight catches the edge of a door that is about to close...
Colt-- You hear a woman screaming, running closer through the water and something huge and heavy in fast pursuit. Butcher is still mindlessly walking downstairs. You were about to close the door behind you. Mills twists around in panic. Mills- "Oh my god! Close the door!"

I holster my gun, make sure I have one hand gripping Mills and with the other I snatch Joe's wig.
Colt (distressed)- "I need yer head clear for a minute buddy. Take Mills down these stairs and wait there."
When Joe got control of Mills, I turned back and went to face this new situation.

Harriet- "Let me in! There's a monster after me!" I bolted for the door, hoping to wedge my paint can in to prevent it from slamming in my face. Panic surges through my body. I didn't know what the situation was beyond the door, but it was sure better than a man-faced, man-eating monster. Was that Colt on the other side of the door? Who was waiting for me?

Colt -- Butcher seemed a little dazed as you pulled his veil off, but he seemed to get the gist. Mills nearly tripped down the stairs in his lanky, floppy terror.
Mills- "Just close the doooor!"
Butcher- "Shut up!" He pulled Mills along, hurrying down the steps.
Harriet--
Outside, the monster came to a sudden stop; so easy to imagine it gearing up to attack.

I tried to bring the screamin' lady in without admitting a monster.
Colt (distressed)- "Hey!"
If there was a locking mechanism, I used it once my fellow human was on my side of the door.

((Quick GM post then Jara's turn!))
Colt--
You get Harriet inside just as a big gorilla arm comes slamming down to the metal floor, sending you all rocking on the stairs. A shower of water sprays up as you slam the door closed. There's a small bar latch but it won't hold for long.
Harriet--
You're inside a metal-walled stairwell. Water is pouring down from the hall like a waterfall, and the stairs lead into darkness. Below Detective Colt is Detective Butcher, who's got Mills cuffed again.

Harriet- "It's...all of you... we have to hurry..." I waste no time, and shine my flashlight down the stairs into the darkness. I don't think we have long before the beast comes to get us. "The...the monster came between Ryan and Edmund and I..." My lungs burned, and I felt like coughing. I hadn't realized how out of breath I was in all of this. I gestured down the stairwell and looked at them both to see where we should start walking too. It was very, very abundantly clear we needed to get out of here. I looked at the spay can and then at Mills, as if wondering if we should spray him and end this all here.

One one level, reactions to words. On another,
Colt (distressed)- "FUCK! Let's move!"
I got that latch on and turned to hustle down those stairs with the CSI. I wouldn't notice any subtle gestures of intent on her part. If she was at all slow, I'd grab her arm. I screwed on my nerves enough to make a plan.
Colt (distressed)- "When we get down there, you take Mills off Butcher's hands so me and him can shoot that thing when it gets through!"

Detective Butcher looked a little out of it. He was holding a wad of black lace to his chest. But he got the idea and yanked Mills down the stairs. The creature was beating the door down, and it burst off the hinges before you'd all gotten off the stairs. The big muscular arm clawed around inside after you, the body too big to fit through the opening. It pounded and pulled at the frame, trying to widen it enough to squeeze through. Mills- " *sob* Noooo..." At the bottom of the steps there was a big vault door that hung open. It looked familiar. Butcher tried to pull Mills through it, but Mills suddenly went cat-like and grabbed the door frame with his long limbs. "NO! Noooo!! You're going to kill me!!"
Butcher- (shaken) "Give me a break! You wanna be killed by that monster instead? Come on!" He yanked at Mills but he's wasn't strong enough on his own.

Harriet- I pushed Mills to get him through, allowing myself to be lead by Colt as we go."Sh...shit..." I try to control my shaking legs as I walk quickly down the stairwell. I wasn't sure what was going on, but I was not going to pretend to know either. Everyone seemed like they had walked through hell and back in the meantime.

Once Joe and the CSI got Mills through the vault door, I snagged his sleeve.
Colt (distressed)- "Let's shoot this thing up, failing that get the door barred!"
Then I assumed le posicion aiming up at the thing. When Joe was ready, I'd start bustin'.

Butcher- (Shaken) "Mills, if you fucking budge... we ARE getting you out of here so we can throw your ass in jail." Mills wept in response as he stumbled inside the door. The interior behind the vault was just as small as it was supposed to be. No other exit to be seen at a glance, though the interior was a tangle of pipework and machinery.
Harriet-- Did you go inside with Mills? He was a tall guy but he was cuffed and seemed pretty feeble at this point.Butcher stood at the ready with Colt, though his attention was divided between the vault and the stairwell. The monster burst its head and shoulders through the door. The horrific, warped face of the lawyer was balanced on a thick, muscular neck. The human face growled and slavered, trying to pull itself free.
Butcher fired.K1UX6iF7 He struck the creature through the left eye-- which burst in a grisly shower of blood and viscera. The monster struggled at the door still, but it was howling more out of pain than rage.·

I went inside with Mills. I was not afraid of him, especially cuffed, despite all of this. If nothing else, I wanted to see what else might be after him in here. I looked around and shone my light in the darkness. I look around at the interior. I was afraid that shooting at this monster would not be nearly enough to sate whatever was beyond here. It was frightening to think about, so I pushed him out of my mind.

Colt--
You hit it right in the neck. (Not a small target, but you hit the sweet spot.) The monster gurgled and crumpled to the wet ground. The lawyer's eyes went completely unfocused, dark blood flowing out of his gaping jaw. Butcher- "Christ, they're turning people into werewolves?"
Harriet-- The interior of the engine room looked very much like the one from the crime scene photos; about the size of a small living room. Mills had backed up against the wall, and was staring at you, terrified.
You hear a faint cry, sounds like a little child. Child- "HELLP!! PLEASE!!”
Mills- "Oh no, oh god... That's a trick, don't listen to it!"
His gaze goes straight to a hole in the floor.
