Vitus strolled into the living room, eyes darting between Jason and Eli's bedroom doors.
They had all received the text, he knew. Jason had replied in the affirmative. Would Eli?
What was that Anselm getting them into? He sat on the sofa and stared at the ceiling.
He sent one more text.

Jason walked into the living room to confront Eli about the situation.
Just as he was about to enter Eli's room, his eyes dragged to Vitus' lifeless body sitting on the couch.
 He hesitated before he spoke. Wondering if Vitus' blank expression was any of his concern,
" You...alright man?. Knowing you this whole situation probably got you worked up?"

"Oh, Anselm's little get-together with
the artillery? Not too alarming.
You're enthusiastic for fighting Theodore?"

 "You know I'm excited. Being dead can be boring sometimes, ya' know?" Jason paused as his expression changed. He whispered under his breath.
"I dunno... I guess it'll be nice if this war goes through well. Our lives might be a little more normal without all this death.." He eased his mind somewhere else as he continued to speak,
 "But are you alright?...With all this? I may not seem like it all the time...or any of the time actually. But I do worry about you. " |

Eli-
"Hey Jace, going to this thing? And I'm surprised you got an invite, Vitus.
Does he not know you're a--"

Jason surely got up to all kinds of crazy hijinks, no surprise there!

"It's a little scary, to be honest. Maybe I'm too Glennish and guns are
a little spooky for me. Silly I guess... I mean, we can jump off skyscrapers
but a gat's gonna make me nervous? Maybe I can just get a plastic one
that fires a banner that says 'BANG', work my way up."

"Got any faves, Jace? Like ones that fire... extra bullets? Damn, I don't know
anything about guns."

 "Eli..I think all the ones fire." He laughed. "But I guess I like the fully automatic rifles. Ya know, the ones that self-reload and fire multiple rounds at once. They have high rates of fire for the likelihood of a hit. Some people say they are a waste of ammunition but I beg to differ." Here he goes on a nerd tangent. |
