Trevor - "I've been doing what I can to help, but get the feeling everyone else has been busier."

(( Kristi is prescribed skeletons I no longer remember what I was doing with this conversation, but I proceed just the same. )) Shale- "Perhaps we are busier, but it feels... that we are not doing an important thing. What is your task? I saw you with the... abominations, was it?"
The eternal youth cut a strange figure. What would he be like, when important things were actually going down?
(( Hey could you remind me, what sorts of stuff are on Trevor's mind during his work here, and about life in general?))

((I'll write that into my narration since it's character development.)) What Trevor really wanted to say was that he felt frustrated by inaction against a foe he has learned to loath more than ever, but this fretting and wanting to be honest was very much not like him. Ever since being effected by Sarah's personality, keeping more inflammatory thoughts to himself was accomplished with repression when before it was natural, which was making socialization tiring.
Trevor - "I've heard them address themselves as such, although I wouldn't say they're any more abominable than other beings physical or spirit. Some have an awful lot of pride in their labeling, so don't tell them I said that."
On the other hand, Trevor earnestly wanted to help his new friends and felt he'd never fully recover from that awful fugue state if no effort was put in.
Trevor - "To be honest, It's kind of nice to know I'm not the only one wondering if I could be doing more."
All the while, cavorting with the spirits has been the most grounding. In spite of their peculiarities, they were so much easier to talk to. Trevor had thought Theodore wasn't unlike them, with his charming passion and lack of pretense. Or at least he hoped the latter to be true.

The boy levitated to the handrail that ran across the small room's front wall, and sat there. Shale- "I know of Santi who wants for you to bring spirits for a fight. But how does this work? Can you do this? The abominations seemed sad to it."

Trevor - "Spirit cooperativeness depends on the individual's interests. I've been seeking a being keen on joining our cause, but Hearth Spirits- the class I have an affinity for- appear to be less inclined to participate in someone else's war, let alone have a penchant for combat at all. My hearth friend Washy Wendy, being one example, is indifferent to anything unrelated to the cause for cleanliness."
"Then there's Mr. Rat, who I befriended not too long ago. He can create powerful barriers against attacks, which will be useful against ballistics and supernatural projectiles," Said Trevor with an evident fondness for the critter.
"If I can, I'd like to bring in a new party member as an offensive counterpart to Mr. Rat's defensive, and it being someone that truly appreciates a skirmish."

Shale- "Maybe we can tell a washing one that the Circle is very dirty."
Shale- "What way other-wise can you fight? With no spirit."

Trevor - "That might actually work."
"I have some tricks, though they wouldn't serve as more than a distraction to our most robust foes. I think I may be useful as a medical personnel with my improving healing spells, if not as a combatant."
"As the youngest here, I'm a better asset as an intermediary."

Shale- "Youngest? You have taken a heart. Maybe you are a good in a fight, do not know. Want to fight me?"

Trevor laughed at the suggestion.
Trevor - "Ah, excuse me. It's only that I'm still doubtful of my abilities."
"Well, we can give it a shot..."
"...As long as I live to tell the tale, so to speak."
For science!

Shale- "Shall we go on a count to three?" His fingers slightly tensed on the rail, but otherwise he didn't move.

Trevor wondered if any of Sarah's combat intuition had been inherited, but feared he'd do something foolish if he tried to tap into it.
Trevor - "Alright. One..." He adjusts his footing while taking the totem in his pants pocket (a little, carving-embellished wooden box of incense ash.) into his hand. "Two... Three."

Shale- "Fight!" He flew off the wall, literally not touching the ground as he whooshed at Trevor.
He seemed to be trying to attack high, either to grapple or just assault a crucial bit.

Trevor dropped down to one knee with the totem in his folded hands.
Trevor - 「燃える!」 A heat blast erupted around him in, as it appeared to their sight, a large dome. It was more painful the closer the target got to the spell caster (especially effective on eyes) and emitted a combination of the strong scent of frankincense and the acrid stench of burning hair.
If Shale was distracted enough, Trevor would try to grab him by the ankles. Breaking from his pose would cause the effects of the spell to fade disadvantageously, but Trevor saw this sparring as an opportunity to learn more about physical abilities as well as the practicality of his magic. "Winning" wasn't a goal, but loosing immediately wasn't either. ((Please correct anything about the spell that doesn't jibe.))
