Hunter- "Yes, ooooh, alone in the darkness with the ghostssss...!"
Cross- "H-hey, no, man. I'm here for adventure and shit. Onward, faithful monster boy!"

Schönborn- "Ve may as well bring ze little boy for dis entirely too innocent jaunt. Alzo, I expect a nice view up dere as pay for de dirty dust."
Schönborn was after Eli, then Hunter and Cross brought up the rear. The moonlight grew slowly brighter, but the trip was taking a long time. The price humans pay for not being able to scale walls like vamps.

Schönborn- "I am known for my leadership."
As they scaled the stairs, Cross could almost sort of vaguely begin to make out some details. Midnight blue and black angles and lines.

Cross- "So do you guys know some creepy or badass story about why this place is closed down?"
Hunter- "Oh, big time. So there was this cult that liked to gather here..."
{originally} Eli perked up at the scary stories. Eli - "Oh, you heard about the cult? Yeah, I heard they used to sacrifice people in this very lighthouse..." Eli - "Tiny goth boys, especially... They say you can still hear their cries if you listen hard enough, begging for Pumpkin Boy to come and save them. " With that, a slight moaning came emanating from down below - a product of Eli's usual Sombreta foolery.

Cross- "Whoa--"
Cross- "Wait, are you guys playing me?"
Hunter- "No way, we're physically incapable of lying."
Cross- "..."
Cross- "Really?"

Schönborn- "Vell, it is not like I am trying to cross de ocean, is it?"
{originally} Eli - "I don't know, I still think we should test it out..." They reached the platform, moonlight filling the space much more fully than the several feet below it. The glass was too dusty to grant any kind of a view though. Rip-off!
Still, it was an interesting feeling, being up in the small chamber, panes rattling at random in the eternal wind. It felt fragile, much moreso than it actually was. It was riding in the eye socket of a giant skeleton.

Hunter let the kid down, and attempted to wipe a dusty window to little effect. Cross- "This is pretty cool. But, I do live in an abandoned church and hang out in a bell tower on the reg, so I'm a bit hard to please."
Hunter- "Ooh, we gotta find a way outside. Is it bad that I wanna jump off this thing and see if I can hit the water?"
Cross- "Yeah, that's fairly bad."

{originally} At Hunter's suggestion, Eli got really excited. Eli - "Yes, it's like you read my mind! I was hoping there might be some kind of balcony, but I'm sure we can find another way..." Willem was encouraged to a point, but seeing swim boy instincts activate, he had a brief inner sigh. Some people have weird ideas of what is fun. Schönborn- "Yes, I dink I can see a balcony rail, just so."
He gestured to a slight opening in the grime, and something visible outside.

Hunter looked for something to unlatch. Hunter- "Alright, I'm doing it."
Cross- "I'm not. I can't fly and I don't know that I would want to."
Hunter- "Aw, why not? Flying looks super fun."
Cross- "I don't think I can handle that kind of power. It's too far outside of what I know. Gravity, life, macarons. These are the things I know and love."

{originally} Eli attempted to put the brakes on humans going in the water, concerned after the previous incident. Eli - "Ehhh, I'm gonna have to agree with him on that. Hypothermia is no joke... Should be an interesting sight to see, though?"
Hunter was practically sucked outside by the air pressure shift as he popped the door open. It was stiff and groaned badly from rust and temperature shifts over time working on the metal. The glass rattled angrily, the wind howled.
Schönborn- "True. Let us go."
Everyone worked their way out. Willem was the second last person out onto the balcony.
The party was so many ants around candle lights, the sea black and shiny until the horizon where it faded into the dark blue sky.

Cross- "You guys are gonna blow away in a wind and die again. I'll be a little sad, but honestly I don't really know you that well." Hunter crab-walked around the edge and peered down at the ants below. Hunter- "Whoaaaa, too wild. Is this sort of thing ever going to get boring? I can't imagine it!"

{originally} Eli - "Maybe it'd be different in five hundred years. I don't know, should we find someone and ask?" He watched the ants for a time, then brought his attention to the ocean, trying to mental math the odds that they could make it to the shore. Eli - "Hmm...We should be able to reach the ocean with a good jump, right?" Not that it mattered *too* much, now that he thought about it...He could always bird it up, in a worst case scenario. Schönborn- "I'm not zhat old yet, but dhis is pleasant."
Actually, if the boy felt more brave than he was acting and did try to follow, no way he'd make it. Was that 15, 20 feet, just to reach water which might have killer rocks in it? A vampire with super jumps and a light body, on the other hand, would be fine.

Cross- "Oh well, nice knowing you. Hey Grau dude, do they let kids smoke weed there?"
Willem- "No."
Cross- "Damn, will I ever find my true home? *sigh*"
