Leo scrambled out of the bed to keep up with Ellen, and pumped her legs as fast as she was able after her towards the old abbey. "Worshiper fucking Cedric, man! Wait up!" She called, still trying to understand what was happening. Babette had been kidnapped?! Someone's nards were getting kicked!

Aubrey looked on at Babette's face with intense concentration, as he delicately drew the lipstick on her lips. He didn't scrawl over her face, like might've been expected, though he leaned a bit too close. A feather fell out of his hair and floated around the dusty room.
Aubrey- "The flowers! No, so dreadful. They always die. That is their purpose though, is it not? Only in death may they realize their true beauty, lest they wither on the vine."
He caught the top of her head, and turned it roughly, her neck cracked disconcertingly. Aubrey- "I shall gather you a passel of flowers, that you may swim in them. You should sleep here, not in that soulless shack. I will create you a bed of lilies, and they will rot beneath you as you sleep. It is the loveliest scent." With that, he plucked up a filth-encrusted bottle with a tasseled atomizer, and sprayed her with a cloud of stale perfume. It smelled of rancid oil and old roses. Aubrey- "I acquired that from a Bribois actress. You look so like her... She is long dead though, deader than you or I. She is only bones now. She does not need this fragrance, bones are so clean. Don't you think?" He dipped his fingers into sparkling powder that smelled like old crayons, and smeared it over her eyelids with a little too much pressure. Babette saw stars. Aubrey- "Now for your wrappings! You will shine like the loveliest gift God created. But to be painted, the canvas must be clean." He shook a coat hanger that covered the clothing beneath with crumpled paper. Bits of feathers and glitter stuck out from beneath. He came toward her, and moved a hand toward the strap of her dress... ((does Babette let him dress her?))~~~ Ellen slid through the halls, rapping on doors and running her hands along the walls like she could find Babette through touch.

Aubrey chewed on his fingers in thought. Aubrey- "Ohhh...? Modesty, ah yes. Of course... It is a becoming attribute."
He laid the wrapped up dress on her lap like a proper gentlemen, and turned his back. The room exploded with fluttering white moths, which obscured the view.Aubrey (back turned)- "I hope this shall suffice, dearest one. I shall await thee in the hall." Aubrey left her to the swirling room of beating wings. Babette unwrapped the package, and found a mass of pearls, gems and feathers, stitched somewhat sloppily to sheer cloth. It was difficult to figure out how to put it on, or even which end was up.

" Yes. Modesty. That's it. " She turned the outfit over in her hands and looked for holes. That was a good place to start, unless he had strange ideas about hole placement, which was totally possible.
When she found what resembled the head hole, Babette wiggled into the outfit and hoped that she'd put it on the right way. She didn't want to ruin his vision, honestly. Fashion was a legitimate expression of art! And despite his homicidal tendencies, Aubrey seemed to have an artist's soul. He was deep and stuff. She would have encouraged him to discuss bones and mortality more thoroughly, if she hadn't worried that he'd remove her skull to make a point.
Babette batted at the moths delicately."Mon père! I'm finished ..."

The moths stopped mid-flight, crumpling to the ground like they'd run into an electric light. Aubrey peered in and clasped his hands in delight. Aubrey- "Perfection! It is exactly as I'd imagined!"
He shook the dust off an ancient feathered hat, and plopped it on her head.
Aubrey- "This is not the actress' hat. This is someone else's, I forget. No one important." He took her hand more gently this time, and led her to one of the grimy mirrors. He wiped it down with a broad hand, sending greasy dust clots flying. Babette saw her own reflection, somewhat obscured by the dirt. Babette- "..." This dress was fairly revealing, but maybe she could get her hands on some more appropriate undergarments. Aubrey straightened out her hat, and stooped behind her to speak to her reflection. Aubrey- "I have an endless array of costumes for you, darling. An eternity's worth! And you shall have eternity to wear them!"

Wow. The ensemble was certainly unique. She didn't expect anything else, of course. Admittedly, it covered more skin than her outfits in Lychgate. "Thank you, Aubrey. I adore it. Adore it! Are we going for a night on the town? Harlan must see this now." At least none of her former buddies would recognize her. She'd never used so much pastel eyeshadow. Or pastel anything, really.
She zoned out for a second and tried to ruffle her hair in the reflection. She wanted to make cool moth storms someday. Down with CGI! Up with magic!

Leo pressed her palms to the wall, almost like she was trying to push it down. After Ellen's attempt got no response, (She assumed - It was hard to hear through the wall.) It was time to throw down some Leo Charm. She took poetry, she totally had this. Maybe With next to no courage, she smoothed out her bed-hair and tried to speak as nicely and sweetly as possible, "Aubrey? Aubrey father, It's Leo!" She gave a knock on the wall, "When I awoke I was shocked to find my dearest.. Sister was nowhere to be found! Oh, I'm so worried about her.. Is Babette with you? Is she okay?" Hopefully he heard that through the wall.

Ellen walked along the wall with her ear pressed against it. She shook her head. Ellen- "He heard us, alright. Ugh, he's too powerful with these illusions, but he's easily distracted so we can hope for that. He's not going to come out as long as I'm here. Keep talking to him, and if you see him, go with him and play along."
She continued down the hall, listening.

"Er. Right. No problem.."
She turned back to the wall and tried to leak more distress into her voice,
"How I ran all through the new abbey in search for her! If it still could, my heart would have burst with concern! This place is so large, I feel like a small ant.. Oh, you remember the lilies, don't you? The ones I told you about, surrounding the pond? It is like that. Despite my height I feel so small in this place.. I would feel much more comfortable with Babette at my side! Can you help me with that Aubrey? One family member to another?" Whateva Leo.

Haaaalp!
As she was lugged around unceremoniously like a sack of potatoes (a gorgeous sack of potatoes with lipstick - awyea), Babette put one hand on the top of her hat to keep it steady She let the other arm dangle and tried to stay still, because wiggling would probably encourage Aubrey to squeeze until her eyes fell out.
She hoped that loose pearls and feathers would drop, like a trail of breadcrumbs for Leo and Ellen to follow! Then, she wondered why the word 'breadcrumbs' popped into her head. That made no sense. Oh, well.
Maybe they'd smell her century-old rancid perfume. One could only hope.
She had to do something! Well, she couldn't shout for Ellen. Leo? Leo wasn't a 'harpy' who'd spoil all their creepy fun!
"Um. Leeeeooo! Can you hear me? We're running from Ellen. Don't tell her we're here! I repeat ... don't tell her where I am!"

Aubrey- " ' Leo?' The Lioness? Ah! The mighty warrior needs her armor. My darling little bumble bee, stay here. You can talk to your new friends." Aubrey stepped into a dark room, and tossed her onto a velvet bench, white with cobwebs. Around her sat mannequins with crackled paint, half missing heads and limbs. They wore rotting, yellowed dresses that swirled with stripes of dark paint. At least, it looked like paint. Moths of a more realistic variety fluttered around the cloth, filling their bellies with old thread.
Aubrey- "Don't go poking around, you may not like what you find. Hehehe!" He burst into a cloud of white moths which battled with the brown speckled variety until the intruders were rent asunder. Shreds of brown wings rained down like tiny autumn leaves, and the pale swarm fluttered off.~~~ Leo walked the halls with her monologue, and found herself in a strange labyrinth. The halls curved, diverted, rejoined. Hadn't she seen that same portrait twice now? Every room was empty save for unnaturally even, suffused blue light. "Come to me, Lioness." A single moth fluttered over a mirror, and down the hall. It urged her to follow.

A moth? Where had that tiny thing come from? She followed it, anxiously dragging her boots across the stone floor. "I'm on my way guys! Don't start the party without me, haha.." 'Never fear Babette! The Almighty Trileon is on the way to save you!'
