Micah ran at full pelt taking Ash's lead. This night just got better and better. It was like the universe was trying to kill them and now into the shopping centre of doom. Micah went full parkour, whatever that meant.

Patti fidgeted with the ignition and gas pedal. With modern cars, duration of inactivity wasn't much of a problem, but the cold snap was a major problem. After several frantic seconds, she finally got the engine turned over.
She turned the wheel sharply towards the offending vehicle and put the car into reverse. There was some initial resistance and a few moments of wheels spinning in the snow and slush. She hadn't considered that barrier, but she was hoping she had selected a vehicle with four-wheel drive or at least all-wheel drive (she never really learned the difference between the two).
She backed the vehicle out on to the street and threw it into drive, pulling out and around the block to confront the muscle carterpillar.

Zombies of all things! - "NNNNNGGGGHHHH!!!" Micah, for the first time in hell-ever, is in the damn grips of DAMN ZOMBIES! Squeal and crumple of metal from the front, hungry moans of the dead all in your face. Not like this, man! ((You can't parkour your way out of this, but you can try to fight your way free. And remember, Micah has the Combat-Ready trait, so he's +2 on defense against the fiends! And zombies are shit in combat, so only their numbers makes this even slightly difficult. Get 9 or better. If Ashley gets 20 or better on his roll, add another +2 to yours.))
Brett - Patti was actually in an almost straight line to the car of doom! Her SUV is on the same street as it, with nothing in the way. She is, however, pointed into the traffic jam, so to ram it with minimal fuss, she'd have to do so in reverse. Does that visual make sense?))

Micah felt the clawed hands, arms and bodies of the zombies drawing him in. Retched rotten smells filled his nostrils, it was like a mosh pit of doom. A large rotten face loomed in front of his, it's eyeballs glassy and liquid. Flesh curling in from a large wound in it's forehead.
He needed to harden the fuck up. Not today.
He began using the stake to hit and pierce as much as he could trying not to think about how much he could die right now.

Ashley- Ashley did his best to rush the zombies, and break Micah out of their hold in the meantime. He may not be the most enamored of Micah, but he did want to help him. He swung his hatchet at a nearby zombie in the meantime. "This way..hurry." [dice=20+4] [rand=398571964586153673659383901394950825244444422427943967268802226]

Zombies- "NNNNNG--*sput sput*" tr.: "We got destroyed!" Micah managed to take a few out in his frantic maneuverings, and jump free. It felt like fighting overgrown children - slow and clumsy, easily beaten, but no fun. Well, rotting overgrown children. Well, zombies. Nevermind. The point is that Micah's self confidence was +10 points, even though there were still mad zombies close by and coming at him. He didn't even need much of assist from Ashley, who barreled through with Tony Todd confidence, hatcheting one of the Micah attackers in the back of the head along the way.
Still, these fools were still clustered at a density of a three to five per ten feet. They'd need to be tough to get through them. ((Roll again, Micah free to use parkour so you both have +4. Use www.random.org/ since we don't have dice here. The difficulty will be down to 13, as the zombies you just felled trip up the others closest to you.)) Zombies- "NNNNNGGGGGTHBBBT!" tr.: "We still here!"

Micah was still frantically jabbing and elbowing, when he saw he'd actually accomplished something. Hell yeah! A win was still a win even if the opposition didn't put up much fight. Micah felt confident enough to try some mad parkour to escape the other zombies. As is the parkour way he made quite a mess as he jumped on top and through aisles. He even managed to knock the hat off an nearsighted zombie. He was doing what he did best, getting the fuck out of danger. He was no bulldozer like Ashley, his was the way of flight over fight. He just hoped Alex could take care of the fucked up pastor on his own for a bit.

Ashley- Ashley dashed by, trying to plow the other victims in his midst, and hopefully clearing the way for Micah to reach the exit and wall the car monster in here. "This way!"

Patti put the SUV back into reverse and started accelerating towards the carterpiller of death. She was no expert at driving backwards at high speeds, Ash would certainly be better at that, but she did her bestest.

((Car got a natural 20. Jara, I thought you were heading for the back door, to get away from the car. Are you hoping to get the car indoors and somehow seal it there?))
Patti's SUV flew out of the traffic jam like a thing possessed, aimed precisely at the car which actually was a thing possessed. In the rear view, she saw it suddenly point in her direction, as if ... noticing her? At the last second it flipped up its front end and lurched back, neatly dodging the attack. Patti's driver side scraped against the bricks and she slipped back out into the road, face to face with the adversary. Her momentum was still in reverse, it was still at that instant, poised like a cobra.
In the C & C, Ashley was barreling through zombies when he saw Micah leap up along the floor-to-ceiling racks. At first it looked like he was going to just use it for a moment to reach the other side of the zombies, but instead he disappeared through an unseen gap into the next aisle. The confusion helped Ashley batter his way through the mass before him, and quickly they were at a short hall they hoped led to a back exit.
A creep lurched out of the bathroom at them. ((Roll to defend, both of your +4. Difficulty is only 7.))

Ashley- Ashley's plan was indeed to escape out the back and thus have the car trapped in here for at least a little while. How did it know where they were? And what was that sound? Was there a second car monster out there? He wasn't sure what was happening, and decided that right now it didn't matter.
He swung his ax directly at the face of the bathroom zombie, and managed to successfully destroy its face and head with his little hatchet. He decided to name it Sting. Small but deadly, after all.
roll-d20+4(14)
Ashley holds out his flare in the meanwhile, and looks for an exit.

"How the fuck are we going to find Alex now? Knowing my luck that car monster can fucking fly." Micah jumped at the sudden popping out of the bathroom zombie and it's subsequent re-death by hatchet. He helped Ash look for an exit nervously, his earlier confidence boost being swallowed by anxiety.
((Ash got the dude but my roll was 16.))

Patti slipped the car into neutral, with her foot lightly holding the brake. She didn't want to ram the thing just to have it come down on top of the hood and through the windshield at her. She was going to let it make the next move. She kept her hand on the shifter to choose reverse or forward as appropriate to respond to whatever might come next. She knew one thing, whatever she did, she couldn't let that thing strike her side of the car [and hopefully not anywhere that would trigger the airbag either (presuming her SUV was new enough to have those)].
In case you want it, die roll be a 19 with no mod.

Ashley- "We'll get him. This thing can't be that magical, and we can follow the tracks. If it is trying to do anything to him we'll be led there soon enough. In the meantime, I need something flammable so that I can make a fire. We don't have much else that might kill a monster." Ashley jogs quickly and tries to find what they are looking for. There was a fat chance the car monster could even fit down this hall. And it was unlikely that it would "think" they would do anything but hide in here...

The zombie was put down easily. Micah found the back exit in a moment, but held up while Ashley rummaged a janitor closet for flammables. He came out with a can of WD-40 and some aerosol cans, stuffing the goods in his bag.
Ashley couldn't know if the thing was in the store unless he stuck around to fuck with some zombies, and Alex was a more pressing concern. Ashley & Micah had come in the front, leaving the thing trying to bash its way in there, and could now head out the back. It was a rudimentary subterfuge, but there was no reason yet to assume it wouldn't work.
Coming out the back of the Cash & Carry, they were going the right direction to be able to pick up Alex's trail in the snow again. There was a risk of encountering the car again - they could hear it crunching around on the opposite side of the building from them - but it had to be done. ((thoughts from ur fellows?))
The car began to bound toward Patti, crunching and screaming metal as it went. ((I made a roll and will tell u the result of Patti's action when you tell me what it is. The thing is coming straight at you with a hopping motion, not clearing the ground by more than a few feet, but managing to be a little faster than it was worming after the other guys...))
