The paleo-accuracy crowd had some serious beefs with ARK, I dunno about specifics. Saurian, on the other hand, they're all hot for. It has gone way past the initial amount they wanted and is pushing into "stretch goals."

Can someone remind me which logical fallacy applies when a person tries to legitimize something racist by pointing out that the person saying it of the maligned minority (e.g. when Bill Cosby gripes about saggy pants or Clarence Thomas votes in favor of gutting the Voting Rights Act)?

Finally figured out who these two reminded me of (each other, obviously). There's always been the nagging question, but I finally figured out what it was. Someone should cast these two in a movie together.

While I'm thinking of it (and this one is much easier to notice), someone should cast these two as siblings in something.

Wait, there's a 12 Monkeys TV series? Has anyone seen it? The IMDB rating isn't half bad.

Response to brett things:
I don't know the fallacies for poop but I'd start looking for stuff to do with focusing on statistical outliers?
Warriors come out and play guy was on some eps of Twin Peaks, he's a riot. Fillion and Noah Wylie? Wy not? If you wanna see some freaky resemblances, look for people that are less distinctive. Like Katy Perry & Zooey Deschanel.
Thx for the b'day weeshes. Huzzah! It wasn't horrible.
12 Monkeys the show: The second season just wrapped. I liked it a lot more than other syfy programming I've seen, but YMMV. The original movie and the french thing it was based on, as far as I've seen, are a lot more focused on inevitability, tragedy, and confusion. The show kinda makes too much sense to be true to that spirit, but it stands as its own thing. For some reason I find the guy who plays Ramse freakin' hypnotic, and respect the actings of the madeline stowe clone they got playing the main lady.

Yeah like Natalie Portman, Winona Ryder and Kiera Knightly. Kiera knightly has played Natalie's doppelgänger legitimately in Star wars though as a Pad Mei fill in character to the point allegedly in make up their mothers could not tell them apart.

It has been discovered that in at least two types of lichen, that there is a third, integral organism (basidiomycetes fungi) that forms the community, "disproving" the long held belief that it is a simple symbiosis between two and only two organisms (ascomycetes fungi and an algae). For whatever reason, I find this to be an exciting discovery.

It's pretty cool to hear about people getting new information about something that's common, lets you know there's mysteries all around you. Man, I cannot find that diamond dove video. It was surprisingly musical, very cute.

Caught a scaly-breasted munia pair trying to build a nest in our dryer vent. That could have been bad news bears. I rigged them up a milk jug, but they don't seem interested. The mop is currently blocking the entry to the dryer hose.
