∆§Indea§∆ Dr. Jar Thy Dungyeon Maestyr You find yourselves in a drowned hall, that leads to a tall, tall stairwell. It's lit in vague red light, but the smell of fresh air wafts down from high above. Harriet is already some distance ahead.
Butcher leads in front of Dr. Bassett & Colt, who is successfully marching Mills along. Butcher- "How long was I homicide? A week? Not quite? Well... I think I quit. Is that reasonable?"

Colt (unhinged)- "I dunno man, shit. I guess... take care of yourself. I gotta..."
...get a grip. This satan stuff had me all jacked up.

(Irrational)Edmund- "No one will judge. Honestly, I am surprised you lasted this long. What would you do instead?" I plodded along trying to remember to protect my privacy while freezing at the same time. I would lift my hand up to rub my arms only to quickly put them down again.

Butcher- (irrational) "Thought it'd be about solving mysteries not... whatever this is. So I don't know what I'll do. Not this."
The red light seemed stronger the higher you went, though so did the freshness of the air. Mills- "Ahaha, I don't even care what happens to me. Like, literally don't care. That bitch didn't get me, ahahaha..."
Butcher- (irrational) "I don't know what I will do if you thank us, so just fucking don't."
Mills- "Wouldn't dream of it. In fact, I'm not saying another word, just like that weird lawyer wanted."
Butcher- (irrational) "Fantastic."

(Irrational)Edmund- "And you only had to murder a few innocent people to do it. Not to mention the damage done tonight... Can't say I'll miss the lawyer. I wonder what happened to him. He's still down there. I hope he gets eaten."

Colt (unhinged)- "...I just remembered the plan. Get you up here and go back for the others... The lawyer. That thing? Was that him? Fuck, is this even the real doc?"
I paused on the stairs, glaring through Mills's back, lost in thought.

Butcher- (Irrational) "Jesus, felt like we had like eight people with us. But I don't know where we would even go back to." At one of the landings, the walls seemed to vibrate, like unfelt heatwaves were rolling off of them. Butcher paused to look."This is what it was like. Back then, by myself. I think we get through here."
Harriet- (Irrational) (For the spaceholder) I hardly noticed as the others came in my direction, but I had to do something. What had they been doing down there? "Wh...nevermind. I'm on my way." I marched onwards towards what felt like an exit. I didn't know what I was looking for, but I was sure I would find it here, somewhere. This place was so cold and off-putting. What could I say about a space so grim. What fate did we have to await us? Would we ever return to the real world?

(Irrational)Edmund- "OF COURSE I AM! I mean technically I'm not the original doctor, I was eaten by that big black skull thing. It said I would be reborn so that's what I am. I was split in two at one point. One with Harriet and one with Lisa. I unintentionally slept with myself. So you'll excuse me if I'm not exactly the same as I was. I have all the same feelings and memories, that's most of a person. Besides you didn't like me before. Maybe you'll like this me better. HA!
Wait.... Like the exit? " I actually smiled. This was hopeful.

I clutched my head.
Colt (unhinged)- "JESUS do you EVER shut up? Fuck! I can't think... I gotta go back for the... the guard. And the lawyer. Unless. We shot him."

Butcher- "Maybe he can lawyer himself out of trouble. I don't-- the guard. Guarding... Oh." You were a bunch of babbling, nearly insane, half-dead people in various stages of undress. Butcher touched the wall with the dislocated hand and had to hiss and wince, before using the other. What seemed to just be another section of wall slid open like you were stepping into the 7-11.
Fresh air hit you, freezing cold and bracing and only 'Detroit fresh' but compared to the dank, fetid places you'd been tonight... The room beyond was unlit as any of the rest, but something seemed uncannily wholesome about it. Maybe just the sounds of panicked radioing and human voices. Flashlight beams flickered over you in blinding strobes and you were descended upon by distressed police officers. They seemed like they were almost certainly human.

(Irrational)Edmund- "If you actually listened you might learn something..." Was this even real? After all of it. I didn't know. It felt like when you turn on a TV and the sound has been turned up too far. As I shivered uncontrollably, I shied away from the onslaught of officers, really trying to protect my modesty now. Shit. I wanted to crawl inside myself and away from all the stimuli. Away from the inevitable questions. A small part of me wanted to run back into the labyrinth.
“What happened to your clothes?”
“Well you see, my other body has the suit and I outgrew William Bedford’s blood drenched pyjamas. So here I am in my birthday suit. Also, I joined a cult out of fear!”
That would go down well.

Harriet- (Irrational) I stumbled into the light and felt assaulted by all the sounds I heard and the things waiting for us. I almost wanted to crawl away somewhere. What did all of this mean? "W...are...we free?" I sheild my face with my hands, in case this is another illusion. My entire body felt like one big bruise, and I hated everything about it. What had all of this been? A nightmare? An illusion? Drugs?
I didn't know, and a part of me didn't want to know. I saw mother in her chair, humming and cooking, and the strangest pang of longing mingled with my pounding heart and ears, the panic rising in my throat and staying there. I told it to go away but it remained, ready to flee or fight again.
Had it been wrong of me to leave Mills and the others to deal with this thing? But then again, what could I have done against a monster like that? "...H...Jesus..."

I was lost in the flurry of people, still unable to think straight.
Colt (unhinged)- "Somebody... command... the LT... we need to... make sense..."

Detective Rodriguez- "What the hell's going on? He's-- he's naked? Where's the guard?"
Edmund-- An officer brought you a blanket but it wasn't much help other than covering the bare essentials. (So to speak.)
You were all led upstairs in a wild commotion and separated, Mills was immediately detained. Officers questioned you and assessed your health. Edmund, you had some abrasions to your hands and mild hypothermia. Harriet, you had a nasty cut on your leg and talked to the officers while a medic gave you a couple stitches. Colt, you were only a little bruised but were so out of your head they gave you a shot of Ativan and had you lay down in an ambulance.
You were asked questions like 'What happened when you went down there? Who did you see? What was Mills doing? How did you get out of the engine room?' Obviously Edmund was asked about his state of dress and Harriet was asked what was up with that gold spray paint. The kicker was, you were all missing for only ten minutes.
Story was, Rodriguez was following the guard and Mills when they seemed to vanish into a shadow. He ran around looking for them, radioing for help, but it was no use. The vault door wouldn't budge, and after it was pried off the hinges, no one could be found inside the engine room. You all seemed to have emerged from a small crawlspace with no exits in or out. The prison guard was missing with no trace. Supposedly the lawyer had never even been onboard the ship, and there was no sign of him anywhere. How did you react? How did you answer these questions?
