The fence workers were a little startled when the folks returned from their pizza run, but they helped them unload the Subaru as quickly as possible. As the wine started coming, Patti recognized that the selection was actually pretty darned good and she looked forward to having some. A little buzz in this situation sounded pretty good, if a little foolhardy. Once the adjacent building was secured, Patti and the others gathered and organized the unused fencing supplies in to the parking garage, then made their way up to the community center.

Ash seemed unsure of his own handiwork when he was finished, and was more than happy to reinforce it. He seemed unsure if he should ask for any of the goods, and yet he had not eaten for many hours. To Patti: " ...I...could use some food. I have money. " As if money mattered in this world, if anything food should be worth its weight in gold. To Abdul: "You are a military man?" He looks him over, and seems to have a new respect for him. Abdul- For a few years. You have some relevant experience as well?

Patti laughed at Ash's request. "Yeah, help yourself. Try to take it easy, so other people can have some. There will be a larger, proper meal later. Nobody here's going to deny you food, especially if you're helping with the work. Ivan, you should help yourself too."

Seth, Stevie, Abdul-Rahman and Tyrone met up outside with their weapons, chatting and discussing their plans for the jaunt.

Ashley is here, and brings his length of pipe with him unless allowed to have other weapons.

(OOC - If Patti saw the doctor after helping Volya up and to his appointment if necessary, she would have asked him about the handgun and accepted it back if he had it in the clinic with him, which he might if it was still in the bag with the supplies they gathered. If she had it and Seth was okay with it, she would let Ashley use it, though its minuscule size might offend him.)

(OOC Ashley is perfectly fine using a tiny gun. He is man enough to deal with it)

Patti gave the subcompact to Ash. "It might be a little small for your hand, but you should be able to manage. I'd recommend sticking with the pipe, only using the handgun when the numbers get overwhelming. We've got ammo for now, but there's no telling how long it will be before we can find some more."

Micah dragged himself from the chair, his headache gone but still feeling seedy. He sauntered over to the board, what had he signed up for again? Oh shit, okay. He was going outside 403 again, apparently to a hardware store. He hoped Seth and Stevie were capable, that they'd survived thus far was a good sign. He guessed he could use the exercise but did he really want to risk his neck again? It was useless to change his mind now, everyone would realise how much of a coward he was. Where had that 'Ass burger' guy got it in his head that Micah was the leader? Had something happened last night when he was drunk? He grabbed the sashimi knife from the apartment and headed downstairs to where Seth and the others had disappeared to. He needed more than this knife, perhaps he could grab a bin lid or something, as a shield of some sort. He wasn't going near a gun, he'd probably end up shooting himself in the head rather than the zombie. He found Seth, Stevie, Patti and the others chatting outside in the back alley. The Ass guy was there too. Micah glared at him, the guy was a bit of a prick, Micah's hangover didn't help though. Micah- " Morning folks, sleep well? Any blistering hang overs to speak of? Anyone get fucking lucky?" Stevie- "Oh yeah, I sexed up like, everybody. It was gonzo."
Abdul- "That is simply distasteful."
Tyrone- "Seem like I started drinkin' after ever'one, an' got bit worse'n ever'one. If zombies start t' eat me, they can have me."
Micah- "My head is fine, but man do I feel fucking seedy. I woke up with a beagle puppy on my bloody neck. Could have been worse I guess, I could of taken the dance floor a la the doctor." Tyrone- "Now that looked like fun, y'naw?"
He wandered over to join Stevie and Seth, he was apart of their team apparently not the 'Ass burger' man's, thank god. "So what's the plan Seth, It's just a day trip, yeah?"

He takes the small gun, and seems to try to put it in an invisible holster before deciding to put it somewhere that actually exists. He then picks up the pipe. "I got it. Thank you, Patti." He gives her a little nod that indicates they are ready to go/should go forward. He had a calm facade, but inside his heart was racing at a thousand miles an hour. There was excitement waiting for him. He ignored the other group, focusing on Seth for a moment. He thinks he might like Seth. A good leader who knows what to do. Like Patti.

Alex joined the alley group, and despite the undead threat, he was excited to visit a hardware store. He wanted a better weapon, and maybe the place had batteries. Did batteries go bad eventually, like yogurt? Without the internet, Alex felt particularly ignorant. Fortunately, Ben or Sonya might have answers. They built bicycle chargers, after all. Whoa. He sure was lucky to know so many people. Patti understood firearms, Ben and Sonya covered nerd stuff, the doctors could heal, Micah and Chantelle cooked, Seth had leadership covered ... what useful skills did Alex bring to the table? He could kill zombies and push dumpsters! Well, that was fine and good until he broke a leg. His uncle once offered to teach him how to survive in a hostile wasteland; Uncle Brick crossed the US-Mexican border pretty often via the Sonoran route. But Alex had refused to hear any of that illegal stuff. Damn shame. He might've learned something useful. Alex stood near Micah as they prepared to leave and entertained himself by pretending to shoot stuff with finger guns.

Abdul- "OK, my team - Patti, Ashley, and Tyrone - we are the ones with firearms so we may prove vital. On the way there, let Seth's team do most of the engaging, but be ready to support them by the most prudent means. But as Patti said, conservation of ammunition is ideal.
Wait for Seth's group to move out first, then follow."
Seth- "Ya gotta run up to them, don't wait for them to come to you. It confuses 'em and keeps them from clustering - as long as you're fast enough to get out of sight quickly. The longer we're in the open, the less any kind of strategy will be of any help.
Micah, I heard you were handy yesterday but I also heard you had some bad times on the way out of that mall, so just take it easy if you gotta, and work up your nerve to help us at your own pace.
We'll just run out bashing every zombie within, oh, fifteen feet of our route, and get inside the building quick like a bunny. When we're out of the open, we can just pick off whatever handful saw us go in & we're golden.
After that, maybe Abdul's team can explore the neighborhood a bit, without getting too far away, and pick anything that looks useful.
Any questions before we take off? Is everyone ready?"
