Trevor - "...I did."

Carlo- "Was it your progenitor?" Tereza- "What's it feel like?"

Trevor - "It was a Dragomir woman. She was young next to others within her family, but more than five times my human age. Her memories buried my own. A century of information had to be processed before my personality could take back dominance."

Carlo- "You're not a Dragoner?" Tereza- "Huh. But when you cheeled out, you feel OK? You're stronger and all that?"

Trevor - "Lepponen, actually."
"I haven't experimented much with physical strength, but it's improved. That's still not saying much from where I started."
"I'm enjoying speaking to animals more than that at the moment."

Carlo- "Damn, I guess you have to do it a lot to get real strong." Tereza- "What animals do you talk to? I haven't seen any animals."

Trevor - "Well, even humans can talk to animals in their languages, if you want to be technical. Birdcalls and such... Perhaps the Dragomir power acts as an advanced translator? It must have to make up for certain things, like how different animals communicate by scent. Again, something humans also do... Sorry, I'm prattling. I've talked to any common animal nearby, like a mouse in the wall or a pigeon on the street."

Tereza- Carlo- "I guess I wasn't looking for the "Are you still trippin' dude?" animals. I eegnore them."

Maybe it was time to be moving on?
Trevor - "So, I'll let you both get back to what you were doing..."

Carlo- "Okaaay..." Tereza- "Trip out, dude." Soon he was alone again in the dilapidated halls...

Trevor continued to head towards his room, taking a moment before switching his spirit sight back on.

Another room smelled of foreign soil and the lady vampire, Meherit. He glimpsed a hornbill bird and some sort of arthropod swarm. Looking longer than that hadn't been a good idea thus far... And then he reached the room.
A Lesser Rat- "It's Trevor." Another- "Oh, how about that?"

Trevor - "Hello."
((What can be seen inside the room other than its occupants?))

A Lesser Rat- "How do you like it, guy? Feels like low tide."
His possessions remained as he'd left them. Other than that, the room was in the same uncanny state as the rest of the building. Were they in the spirit world or not?
The two thin windows were completely fogged with dust and scoring, unknown darkness looming behind them. The bed looked like it had been carefully made and lost for fifty years. Every surface - floor, ceiling, wall - had chunks missing and disarrayed decayed veneers. The paint was peeling, the tiles broken. The mildew / moss / whatever that was seemed more fully spirit matter than the more permanent elements of the structure.

Trevor - "I think it suits our purposes for now. Nothing short of atmospheric. How are you all settling in?"
A Lesser Rat - "Lots of places to hide." Another - "Not bad."
Trevor gestures to the mildew.
Trevor - "You don't mind this at all?"
