Darren- "I don't even wanna--"
*SQREEAAAAAAWWWNnn*
A blast of hellish noise rattled the entire boat and the young vampires all the way to their bones, knocking them out of their seats.

Marcus- *NYAAAAAAI-I-I-I-IEEEE!*
Darren- "WHAT THE GODDAMSHIT?!!"
The boat was full of cracks, worsened when the monster slapped its head over the stern and dropped an eldritch laugh on their eardrums for the encore.

Marcus- "It's nearly your bedtime, boys."
Darren- "Woddabou- wha?! Huh? The boat..."
Yeah, one could start a betting pool on whether or not it would make it to shore at this point.

Marcus- "Mmmmn, I do love to hear the innocent scream."
Marcus- "Please me! Scream harder!"
"AhahaaAAAIIIIEIEIIIII!!!" He flailed his slimy tentacles around and shrieked mightily.

Darren- "Shit bro, SHIT! Punch it, dude! We gotta GO!"
The boat was still taking on water. Would the engine start? How bad was it?

Darren reached out all his limbs like he was trying to hold the boat together somehow.
Darren- "HOLY CRAAAAAP!"
The engine started no problem! The boat was sluggish, but it got up to about 60% speed in a minute and maxed out there. It rattled and groaned.

KRAK KRAK! The boat's speed slumped again.
Darren- "We're not gonna make it!"
Darren- "OK, calm down calm down," he told himself
Darren- "We don't gotta breathe, right? Right?"
The boat wasn't going to make it, but at least he could run out the last of its life getting closer than this...

KRAK KRAK! The boat's engine fell off. It still had a bit of forward momentum, but was not near enough for cool shadow trips.
Darren- "We can't man, we can't! But we don't hafta lose the money. Lissen, lissen, we can't swim..." He pulled one of the bags over his shoulder. "..but even if day breaks out, we can walk!"
The boat ran out of momentum. The boys were drenched.

GRUGGGGNEG! The boat was half capsized.
Darren- "Strap on the other bag. Dig it cuz we won't be able to talk down there, gotta decide now!" He held the money bag close. "We sink with the money, we walk to shore, climb out. With water pressure and dayshit, it'll be hella slow, but better than robbing again! I can't take that shit."

GLOOOOSH!!
The boat reached the critical mass where slow sinking turned into rapid suction - it was sucked into the water.
Darren- "I know bro!"
They were submerged.
Darren- "..."
((summary mode of fantastic voyage?))

Amid sorrow and / or fear, the boys were immersed in a world that could easily inspire other emotions. As they descended, vampire vision helped them see all sorts of weird things, wriggling their way back to the depths after a night of mayhem. Mostly squid. A few sharks. By the time they reached the bottom, they could feel their powers starting to fade - the world was going quite black. They had to join hands to make sure they wouldn't lose each other as they blindly picked their way through leviathan rocks and troughs of the slimiest silt in the universe.
Eventually sunlight was able to reach them, dim and feeble. The world was a vague, useless green. The only way they could see living creatures was in silhouette from below. Occasionally something would wriggle or skitter over an ankle. The distance had seemed so short when viewed from the top of the water in that boat, but it took an hour just to get within sight of the coast.
They were coming to a massive wall. The ground off the piers hardly graded up toward land at all. If they wanted a more gentle slope, they'd need to find one moving parallel to shore. They found climbing too difficult - especially feeble Darren - and just went for the slope.
It took another hour, but it was worth it. More slimy silt, but a mat of firmer sand beneath to sink their shoes into. They could see the green grow brighter, see sand fish, rays, other random little weirdos. Darren got several sea urchins stuck to his pants. And at last, in the bitter sunlight, they emerged.
It was a craggy beach with starfish and rats as their welcoming party. A hobo slept on a bench, the sun making him look surprisingly healthy. Darren- "Blurghoughdsujgdblugh."
Darren- "Still rich, motherfuckers! HA! Ugh."

The day tempered Darren's spirit, and the landside gravity dragged him to the ground. Darren- "You said something abou...? Oh, he's ... dolph... Man, don't sweat it. Jack told me about the time that samurai bro was like, 'on-hon-hon ur weak n shit'... It's just oldies lording their muscles over us baby types."
