"Damn that's pretty old. So are ya gonna feed us to the beast? Cause we're filmmakers not vagrants. I bet ya got those a lot too. Cause this place is the bomb, ain't it Cam?"

Cross- "I don't know what happened to them. Just here one day, hanging out with us then... poof. It's just... tragic isn't it?"
Gabriel- "Yeah, especially that weed dealer. Real tragic."
Cross- "Poor Turnip Tommy. You'll be in our hearts forever."
Gabriel- "Speaking of which, you guys got any--" Cross waved for him to be quiet, as the group gathered behind the altar. Cross bent low and pulled up a rotted wood covering from the floor, revealing a rusted ladder leading into darkness. Cross- "Well, here you are. It's where they kept all the ookie chunks of saint corpses and whatnot."
Triangle- "And all the holy wafers, but we ate them already... they're very dry."
Cross- "God, you ate those?! I've been using one as a guitar pick!"
Triangle- "Ehhhhhh..."

Ru- Ru winced at hearing the G-word, why must it be spoken here! "I guess this wizard doesn't feed you..." It did seem pretty silly but he was a little worried about the idea of possibly never coming back up from that descent. He hesitated to volunteer, that space was dark and scary. "Uhh... I... I'll go first?"

Cross- "Yep, that's the lair. Hope you all know what you're doing. At least your remains will stay in this holy place."
Cross- "It's deconsecreated, dude." Cross- "Shh, they don't know that. Let them be at peace..."
Triangle- "If you see any wafers down there, save me a few?" Ru looked down into the passage. The ladder's rungs were damp and corroded, rough with rust. Over the stench of rotted wood and mildew, he made out the musky scent of rodents and other animals. Though not pitch dark to his supernatural eyes, it was still oppressively dark, and the hatch was hardly enough room for him, even as skinny as he was. Cross- "Better take a candle or two-- nah, one should cover it. Won't need it for very long."

Ru- "Can I have one of those candles?" He wasn't sure how well he'd be able to fight off any kind of monster if he couldn't even fight off a Crowboy without his head being slammed into a car door multiple times. "I'll be careful..." He looked for something he could use as a weapon. He wasn't super eager to fight with his bare hands.

"Does the darkness swallow light like a rabbit eating carrots? Creepy. I hope I can fit through y'all. heh." "Here goes!" August waited for ru to go down then attempted to squeeze into the dark hole after his friend.

"Hmm. I'm glad I wore tights today. I'll give your regards to the beast, you gloomy kids. Babette climbed down after August and Ru. She worried that the rungs would break - not because of injury (vampirism had benefits!), but because of the indignity of falling on her friends and potentially knocking them down, too. What would the beast think, if he existed? Easy prey, probably.

Cameron- Tristan- "Whatcha think man?" "Yeeeeeah, I'm just gonna stay heeere."
Cameron started down the ladder as the last adventurer. Cameron- "What's it like, yo?"

Cross- "Yeah man, just go in with courage, it feeds on your fear. Well, and flesh." Ru took a candle, and a strip of metal from a busted scooter tucked behind the altar. It felt thin and brittle, but it'd probably be good for a poke or two. The ladder's rungs felt dangerously wobbly as Ru took them, and descended with a candle in one hand and the metal tucked into the back of his blazer. The ladder creaked even with his supernaturally feather-boned weight. Cross knelt and impassively watched the four descend into the darkness. Cross- "Good luck guys, you're totally heroes. I can't believe they're doing this..." The ladder ended fifteen feet down, and the vampires found the ground a couple feet below that, wet cement slapping under their shoes as they dropped. The candles' flames flickered dangerously, shadows splaying from every odd shape, drawing spiders across the bare walls. Beer cans and trash littered the floor beneath the ladder, apparently the place was their trash chute as well as the beast's lair. Just past the tiny landing, another narrow corridor led into darkness. The church must've not been that old, or at least this area wasn't, as modern pipes and frayed electrical cords curved and crossed from the low ceiling. August had to crane his neck a bit to fit. Boxes of slumping, moldy cardboard boxes turned into irregular green pillars lining the edges of the corridor. Rodents scurried away from the light, their little nails skittering and scrambling. The corridor squeezed on, the four could just about make out a distant antechamber and a broad, rusted door.
