Erel- Erel followed suit, looking around for signs of danger, or possible beasties about. What were those strange children? "Anyone around?"

Mason was soon to follow, with his gun trained on Jill.
He only muttered a simple.. Mason- "Fuck today." He had a lot of his own questions for anyone at KPLQ. Weird alien-brain-thingies or not, he was going to get answers.

Erel, with Holly's help, leads the way toward R&D. As they passed conference rooms and break rooms in the hall, they couldn't help but glance into them. There was no one. The yellowish lights overhead buzzed slightly, but instead of the calm they felt before, they just felt a mounting sense of aggravation and a vague dread like they were the only people in the world - or at least the building.

Erel- "I don't like this." He looked around and frowned before slowly moving forward with the others.

Child's Voice Inside Jill's Head - "I don't either! Things aren't going according to plan. What do we doooo?"

Erel didn't know if he was tripping or what. He was fairly positive he was going the right direction - the route was very simple - but things were different. There was plastic sheeting tacked over a bank of conference room windows. Lights flickered. A single man's shoe sat in a corner. The ambient electric buzz of the building oscillated.
Others didn't notice the differences because they hadn't been this far back, but they did notice the place looking a little more cruddy.
Erel gestured to some stairs and another hall, and Holly helped him along. At last they reached a windowless underground lobby, part red-painted, part wood-paneled. A secretary sat at a desk and looked up to see them. Secretariat- "Sign in." Then she looked down to her work again.

"Ask her where we should put our guns and monsters while you're at it, kiddo." Timothy was not signing anything if it meant lowering his weapon."Ma'am, we need you to call a supervisor right now. I'm fed up with bureaucracy." Secretariat- "Calling a supervisor... It takes so long." She went back to her whatever as if that settled the matter.

Mason had to blink a few times to get his eyes to focus. The wound in his side was taking a number. Mason- "Look lady, we've all had a long day. If you could just.. *wheeze* ..call your boss, that'd be swell." He cleared his throat and made a gesture towards Jill with his gun, indicating they meant business. He reaaally didn't want to be here any longer than he had to be. Secretariat- "Siiiiigh. Fine. If I must." She pushed some buttons on an unknown device behind the counter. She wasn't paying attention to Mason's gesticulations, just responding to his tone. As large as her glasses were, she seemed to have tunnel vision for her desk area.

Jillmonster took in the surroundings. To one side, the hall they'd come in from, with no door. To the other side, a set of heavy-looking double doors with a stencil on them reading "RESTRICTED RESEARCH AREA DEVELOPMENT" or something like that depending on which way you read it. In front of the group was the tall counter surrounding the ladies desk, behind them some cheap plastic seats and office plants. The drop ceiling and fluorescent lights weren't very high, maybe seven and a half feet.

Erel- "Huh, things seemed a lot different last time. Maybe I'm just... off... My memory isn't the best anyways." He did look confused, for the most part, and didn't seem to know what he was looking at. Secretariat- "While you wait for my supervisor maybe you can take in the sights. And if you are down here to get into R&D, you should all sign non-disclosure agreements. Are you ready?" She put a big 3-ring binder with two inches of paper in it on the counter, along with several multiple-page stapled NDA forms and cheap KPLQ-branded retractable ball-point pens.

((EVERYONE READ EVERY PLAYER POST ABOVE FOR MY EDITS, then proceed with this one.))
She didn't show any sign of recognizing Erel. The building electronics were joined in chaotic noising by burbling and softly roaring gas and water pipes down here. ((me am rite englis good)) Tim and Mason's trigger fingers were triggery, and Jill's extra brain was brainy. There were faint smells combining in the stifling air - plastic, dust, and ozone.

Erel- Erel stands awkwardly and wonders how she could be so bored looking at several gored people and a brain-monster. "..Ahem..."

Jill was thinking in a similar vein as Erel, but as even more of an outsider. What exactly were these people? Jill - "Are there a lot of things like me behind those big doors?"
Child's Voice Inside Jill's Head - "I dunno. Maybe?"
Jill's Internal Thoughts - "I was kinda hoping you'd know something... Where were you kept all this time, if not here?"

((babies were in some kind of cage underground somewhere, an indoor chain link fence deal, no windows. they had crayolas tho. might be they're all dead; all the ones this brain was with are dead.))
