August didn't really give a fig either way as long as it had worked. He was still pretty pleased he'd gotten as far as putting her to sleep. Guiltily because it would make drinking blood that little bit easier. "Ya don't buy it, Fly? Shootfire, what do ya buy? It totally worked. Bombaroo!" "Ya were hypnotised, Jen. Like totally hypnotised. Did ya have ants in ya pants? Did ya?"

Ru- "Er...um...well, it seems it's kind of a me thing I guess... ahh..um..I'll be careful about the names, I promise." Ru looked like he was very tempted to shadow-walk into the shadows of the walk in awkwardness. "I'm not a great dancer. I can waltz?"

((Gonna wait for Babette to advance Rew Babylon.))
In Augustarctos, The Human Fly- Yelyena- "Just, like, no way. This stuff can't be real." "But you just saw it." Jennifer H- "I... I just don't know. Maybe. Maay be. Mm?" Tristan- "That was so fun, you were moving and antsing, ha." The Human Fly- Yelyena- "Just a little, ha, you guys." "Hey the party people pointed at you, August. Wanna go back up there?"

"Bombaroo, baby. It totally worked, just call me Desiderio Stackpole y'all." "Surely, I do. Let's go, Tris. Ladies?" August offered his arms all gentlemanly like.

Quinn shook his head a little in amusement."Oh, I'm sure it's quite impossible to be as long-lived as you lot surely are and not have a few...foibles, shall we say?" He canted his head slightly, like a dog listening a television as he tried to parse out the strange word." Seelisch?" His accent was likely atrocious.

((DKender Dr. Jar ∆§Indea§∆ Note - this mega-post includes some copies of your most recent posts here and will hopefully get you ready for the next thing. We are cutting this scene short / going to summary mode as far as your characters' involvement, and just starting you guys up with the next scene elsewhere.)) Yelyena- "Hell yeah baby..." The girls went with August and Tristan back up to the Finsterwald party. Meanwhile, ? ? ? - Helen- "And now it's getting dull." "I'm so sorry." ? ? ? - "I guess it's not your night" Darren- "It's cool, babes. I'm not really lookin' for a good time."
? ? ? - Helen- "Hell's bells." "Darren, were you raised in a sewer?" That didn't go so well. Meanwhile, Anselm continued his chat with Quinn.
Anselm- "I see. I never meet Vilhelm's progen before. He sounds interesting. Maybe I get used to old vampires, doesn't bother me now."
Anselm- "Of course, you don't know my age. Heh heh. It is more than you and less than seven hundred.... million. " The age comment got a small, surprised laugh out of Quinn."I see that all of you 'continentals' have one thing in common at the very least. Cheek. Bloody cheek." "Though you do all seem somewhat more...stable... than some of our elders." Off-handedly he added:"No offense intended to them, of course." Anselm- "Stabil... hm. I never hear 'dhat before. It's funny you say it, in Reckenburg everyone comes and goes. Here it seems strange to haff same rulers for zo long. Maybe you mean more for ahh... seelisch sense. In 'dhe head."
Anselm- "Vee are still crazy, you know! Ha ha ha!"
Anselm- "Some of us." Quinn shook his head a little in amusement. "Oh, I'm sure it's quite impossible to be as long-lived as you lot surely are and not have a few...foibles, shall we say?" He canted his head slightly, like a dog listening a television as he tried to parse out the strange word. " Seelisch?" His accent was likely atrocious. Anselm- "Haha, it is a good try. Maybe we vill both learn new languages as we are older." Anselm- "Eh, when you are a few centuries old, as I am. Yes..." So it went, with low key random chit chat, until Quinn sensed the older vampire's attention span was itching for a change of pace that he was not prepared to go along with. Quinn resumed wallflowering, and from afar he beheld...
Babette being intrigued by the Finsterwald special power...
"You do? Could it be this?"
Babette did the old finger trick. OMG she pulled off her thuuumb! She supposed that it was now possible to actually rip off her thumb, but it would hurt, and nobody wanted that.
"Oooooh. Ghostly finger. How did I do it? Alright, I showed you mine. What's this special trick you mentioned?"
Janice- "Well..."
Ru-
"That's a classic, Babette. How about this one?"
Ru pulled out a coin and showed it to them.
"Here you see it!"
Ru- "And....."
He made a finger motion and then pulled the coin out of Babette's ear. It was a sleight of hand sort of thing, and he wasn't particularly good at it.
Ru- "Er...um...I used to use a tiny skull and then talk about mortality but that's all pretty irrelevant for us now. Is it really in poor form to talk about vampire powers? They're like superhero powers..."
Schönborn- "Hm, yes it's perhaps a bit like asking someone for zheir salary figures. If you like to show, zhat's fine but do not expect it in return." Lucio- "It's like other things in life... Just 'cause you want to show it, doesn't mean other people wanna see it either. Like... Schönborn- on the train." "It's an important lesson." Lucio- "Anyway, we'd be glad to show you our trick, but it's not really for polite company."
Janice- Anyhow, If you come to our hotel room 2nite, we'll show you anything you like... and then some, Boo. You can bring your little Cameron- friends, if you like." "Eee, uh... Glenland. Modern Glennish kids might have, like, stuff we do with friends, and stuff we do with acquaintances, and like..?" Cameron was awash with feelz, clearly.
Ru- "Uh..um, no thank you... Ah, I see. I guess I don't have any so any tricks and powers are impressive to me."
He looked embarrassed and shy now that his faux pas had been revealed.
Ru- "You guys are all style, honestly. I do want to show everyone our film though. August over there directed it..."
He pointed in the general direction of August, who was slowly headed their way with a small crowd.
"And Babette and Chloe and I starred in it! I played a vampire. It's a kind of bitter irony now that I think about it, but everyone did a great job... Chloe and Babette became close during the filming and I was Babette's friend before... August picked me out when I went with her and then I ended up in the movie..."
Nice one, Cameron Tumbletongue.
"Wait a second, Ru. I have a non-movie question. Are there any more faux pas we should avoid? I'd rather learn them now, rather than later, after I make somebody angry. For example, should I remove my shoes before crawling on the ceiling?" Clovis- "It is fine, we are strangers to zhis country, we understand of different customs." Schönborn- "Yes, you are ztill but children. I only prefer to be called by my zurname. Ozzhers have different tastes but it is polite to ask if you are not sure." Lucio- "My rule #1 - Remember the safe word."
Janice- "Sprechen of which, we were mulling over our plans after this. How do you guys have fun out here? Cameron "Wasn't that long ago we'd be able to just drink some brews and get kind of stupid. Bop around to music, stuff like that." Janice- "So is the prudey-two-shoes-ness just a Glen thing or is it generational? I haven't been here for a spell, but your grandparents knew how to get down."
Ru- "Er...um...well, it seems it's kind of a me thing I guess... ahh..um..I'll be careful about the names, I promise."
Ru looked like he was very tempted to shadow-walk into the shadows of the wall in awkwardness. Ru- "I'm not a great dancer. I can waltz?"
Janice- Cameron- "That's not what I meant by 'get down'." "I think he knows." Chloë- "We're kind of art nerds so we're still coming out of our shells." Clovis- "Aww!" Lucio- "I wonder what coming out of a shell feels like." Schönborn- "Ask a turtle." Just then, August- "Howdy, y'all!" Tristan- "Wow averyboddy, what a party? We're Tristan and August, and this are, like, Humanfly, Jennifers H, and Yelyenne. So cool, right?" Janice- "Oh snap, how many threesomes are we gonna have to split off into at this point? Can anyone math better than me? Okay, foursomes at most, any more and you spread yourself too thin. Heh. Spread. Nice..." But sadly for Janice, this sexy equation was not to be. At length, the relative prudishness of modern Glens became too much for the Finsterwalds to bear...
Still elsewhere in the cloughb, some other foolios chanced upon an unoccupied Anselm. Helen- "Hey there, fella. What's your name? I'm Helen and this is Darren."
Anselm- "Hello, I am Anselm. Vhat is your family? I don't meet you before." Helen- "We are Greyburns. What is your family?"
Anselm- "I am Anselm family. I don't know Greyburn, I guess I don't know anyone 'dhough, haha. I am silly to ask. How are you tonight?" Helen- "You're a progenitor? I haven't met a different progenitor in a long time, and never one as cute as you. How old are you? Darren- "Also what's your sign 'n' shit."
Anselm- "Aw, such a Schätzchen. "
Anselm- "Vee haff lots of progens in Reckenburg, it's a strange place. I'm youngest, I only die 15 years before. I don't know a sign. How about you? You haff nice styles. Darren hass a nice sweetshirt." Helen- "I was turned like a hundred fifty years ago. Darren is young like you, a child of the rock and roll." Darren- "I think you mean sweatshirt."
Anselm- "Haha. But vee can't sweat now, unless it isn't your sweat..."
Anselm- "You are a rock and roller? Cool, do you play an instrument?" Darren- "I used to, but, like, got turned into a soulless monster, so, nuh."
Anselm- "I feel like 'dhat before, I am too busy after I die but I also feel vithout a soul for art." Anselm- "But I feel like 'dhat before I die too, haha! Anyway, I don't do an instrument but I do drawings. I do 'dhem now sometimes. Maybe it's better for you in time." Darren- "What's this soulless drawing look Helen- like? Is it all corporate 'n' shit?" "Darren, please. I'm sure Anselm's art is lovely."
Anselm- "Haha, it never makes me money zo maybe not! It's ink illustrations, like a Queen's era. But I like post-Holy Ages style vith little imps and zo forth. Maybe it's more popular now. Vhat genre of music do you do? I don't know Glennish music." Darren- "It wasn't very popular. Post-sludge with janglecore lead and kinda... metal bass. You like that hard stuff? Like, Fäulnis Schweine and UnterBabies?"
Anselm- "Oh wow! I do, I don't know people here like it! I don't hear about 'dhose bands in ten years maybe."
Anselm- "I am older 'dhan you but maybe we are more similar. I don't know kid's music now. GrauerPunk is good before but now it's... "
Anselm- "...You know? Except maybe Todesschwadron. Helen are you Darren's patron 'dhen? You like rock and roll too?" Darren- "I wasn't a piker when I played. A musician who doesn't know the field is like a writer that doesn't read." Helen- "I turned Darren, and sure, Anselm! I listen to anything that's playing, rock and roll is fine. My fave is more pop songs, like The Flops and B-5." Darren- "That's short for Boytown Fünf, dogg." Anselm- "Ah! Boytown is very popular on Grauer TV. Lyrics are very easy to understand, it's nice."
Anselm- "How is your Vor-- uh, how is your progen like? I don't meet any here yet. I hear of Dragomir before, and Vilhelm talks about his sometime. Do you haff other family?" Helen- "Have people in Grauland heard of 'Auberon'? The fashion icon? That's Lord Greyburn, our guy. He's... famous."
Darren- "Yup. We ain't very good at keeping a low profile, I guess."
Anselm- "Hmm... maybe not. I don't know much on fashion though, sorry. It is very different here for progens, isn't it? We have so many in Reckenberg, but here they are famous for the Glens. I haven't traveled before so it is all new for me." Darren- "Uh-huh. So. You are a progenitor then, huh? I get the idea when they were alive they were all freaky murder guys. What was your crime against humanity, if ya don't mind? You seem normal enough."
Helen- "Don't be rude, Darren."
Darren- "I said if he don't mind."
Anselm- "Thank you. No I don't murder anyone before I'm a vampire. Maybe I am freaky though."
Anselm- "Ha ha..." Anselm- "I don't think I haff crimes for humanity. Except for smuggling arms." Helen- "Arms? Guns? Aren't those kinda dangerous?"
Darren- "Whoa. Is that how you think you can fight a bad-ass old vampire? Helen- Cuz you pack gats? What're we talkin'?" "Ehh, I don't think we want to talk about all that violence tonight. Tonight Darren- should be fun." "Whatever."
Anselm- "Oh yes, forgive me, perhaps we talk on dhat later. I forget Grauer is a bit more martial than zeh Glen. So, they have many good television series here. You Mach Me Crazy is amusing, I watch it in dubs. Strike Fist is pretty old but that's a good time." Helen- "I looooove You Make me Crazy!" Darren- "I'm just gonna... peace outta here." "Those girls are sooo funny!"
Anselm- "I know! I like when they haff Grauer tourists come to stay by mistake, it's very funny for us." Helen- "Oh yeah, the Schicklegrubers were so cute! It's like..."
...And so it went, until Helen lost track of Darren completely, and was left needing a ride.
Meanwhile, Anselm caught a look from Janice and decided to join his Finsterwald comrades in excusing themselves from their own party. The last any of the youths heard, there was some mention of going to a secret bondage club Yelyena knew about, which was too much for them to handle. Even Tristan didn't feel like going there.
So these people remained - August, Quinn, Chloë, Clovis, Cameron, Tristan, Ru, Babette, and Helen. Helen wanted to go home and ended up taking Clovis, Chloë, and Quinn in the Wilhelmmobile. Babette got to keep the Ellenmobile with Ru taking up that wheel, and August, Tristan, and Cameron went in August's ride.

Ru- "I think that went ok, maybe..." He flinched at even the idea of possible bondage, it wasn't really his sort of thing, dead or not.

"Ya don't think they left cause we're too boring right? Like stuffier than a board room and no whisky? Darn but I ain't into straps and leather... Not with a bunch of folks looking on. I'm still edgy though right?" August pondered mostly to himself.

Ru- "They seemed to like you. I just think old vampires have different tastes than young ones, literally and otherwise." He rubs the back of his neck, feeling a little overexposed and shy now. He was glad they were out with the others but he was worried about what was to come. Maybe it was best to live day by day, he wasn't sure.
Admittedly, at the moment he was feeling the painful clunk of his attempts to socialize.

Cameron- "Big time." By and by, everyone left Eis Bar to humanity...
