In the main building of the Dragomir Mansion, Trevor rose with the sun's collapse, comfortable in a large antique bed. One strange circumstance after another. He was alone in this room with his arthropods.

After some usual maintenance of his crawlies, Trevor sat back down on the bed as he pulled a fresh shirt on. Miss Bunny crawled out from under the blankets as he was straitening up in front of his dresser mirror and gave a little tug at his pant leg.
Miss Bunny - "Let's go explorin'!"

The interior of the mansion had much antique grandeur to behold, but the outside was more likely to have Glennish arthropods he'd never seen in the wild.

Arthropods unique to Glenland of interest to Trevor, such as the Epione vespertaria, were active two to three months earlier. Common, longer lived critters (brown centipedes, zebra spiders, etc.) he had seen plenty of over the past year. He would still pop outside for a while to get to know the place better.

The mansion had a stately garden for sure, but it was rather spare and bland. No touches of color or personality, just cleanly clipped green and flattened lawn. Didn't seem that any of the local residents enjoyed their time having a stroll out here. Nonetheless, it was a pleasant, crisp Autumn evening, and the air was buzzing with all kinds of bite-y insects that no longer had any interest in piercing Trevor's skin. A small handful of freshly fallen leaves had not yet been raked up, and made papery sounds as the wind pushed them along. A large, barren trellis was bolted on a sidewall, and some odd looking spiders marched purposefully up its length. Spiders in formation? They didn't look familiar... they had smooth bodies, almost devoid of features.

That had Trevor's attention. There were no stegodyphus in this part of the world.
Trevor - "..." Miss Bunny was having one sided conversations with all of the local fauna. She had not yet noticed the new arrivals.
Miss Bunny - "Okay. Two wing flutters for yes and one for no. Gotcha."

The spiders stopped their march, and turned simultaneously to 'look' at Trevor. Some of the spiders further along their path began to return, and cluster in organized rows at about Trevor's eye level. They moved with the same fluttery efficiency as normal spiders, but the synchronism was uncanny. If this had been on TV, even the least perceptive viewer would call CGI shenanigans. They waited.

Wait. Could this be some supernatural occurrence? Well, even if he was wrong this wouldn't be the first time Trevor's spoken to spiders.
Trevor - "Good evening."
Miss Bunny - "You'd be surprised how easy it is to reattach limbs with the proper thread..."
Miss Bunny - "Oh, hello there."

The spiders paused just a moment, before they scuttled into a frenzy of action, darting in seemingly random directions, until a curving shape began to emerge, formed by their slick bodies.
Was that a...

Miss Bunny - "Hee hee." Suspicions confirmed. Was this one of Inka's spirit friends?

By his spirit sight he could tell they were material creatures, though they could obviously communicate. What would he say?

The shimmering smiley face seemed to bob in friendly approval. The group shuffled, tiny legs tapped on the metal trellis, beyond a human's hearing. The letters were a bit hard to read, spelled out letter by letter, in black squirming creatures on a dim evening, but Trevor's eyes were unnaturally sharp.T A K E U S ? A daring few from the front guard dropped down on silken strings, and dangled in front of Trevor.

Miss Bunny reached out her little paws.
Miss Bunny - "I've got you." Trevor followed her lead, holding out the palm of his hand.
Trevor - "Here."

They started leaping onto the available limbs. As they did, Trevor noticed some of them changed course slightly in mid-air. Despite lacking wings, they could fly. Soon Trevor and the Bunny were loaded with spidery passengers.
