Theodore- "That's very thoughtful of you, but in fact, I've already written a--" A door clicked open, and a tall figure stepped into the hall. Wilhelm- "August, did you-- Oh. Eh. Hello? Can I help you?"
Theodore- "Aw! There are so many new babies!"
Jack- "Eh--ehh...! We might, um, we... uh...!"
Wilhelm- "Is 'zhere... a problem?" Wilhelm walked tentatively closer, keeping his eyes fixed on Theodore's rapier. Theodore- "No problem, young man. Not with you lot, anyhow. I've come to challenge the progenitors to a duel, and I intend to win."
Wilhelm- "I... see...?"

"So just like a game of fencing, right? Ya just wanna see them lose?" August was grasping hopefully at straws.

Cameron- "Um, I think Jack's right. We should... check on the car or something."
Jack- "Yeah you... you never know..."
Theodore- "Oh now, let's not get upset. They know what's going on, I've laid down the gauntlet and now it's time for them to step up!"
Wilhelm- "Er, but why are you here tonight? 'Zhis is a symphony, it is not 'zeh time for fighting, yes? Everyone is here to enjoy 'zeh show, it's not very proper..."
Theodore- "You think? But... Hm."

"Yeah... It's kinda rude. Ya know, I might have left... the fridge running. We should all go look. What about the others, though? They should go look too, right?" He motioned to the Green room.

Cameron- "Yes. The fridge. Those things can be left dangerous untended." August, Cameron, and Jack quickly scuttled out to the Green Room. Jack cast a backward glance to see if Trevor would follow, then disappeared into the room.

Trevor was silent, watching until the last of his fellow Circle youths filed out.
Trevor - "What are the rules?"

Theodore- "The rules are quite simple really, they fight me to the death!"
Wilhelm- "Ah, yes a gentleman's duel. However, 'zhis is hardly an appropriate field of honor."
Theodore- "But it could be so educational for you children!"
Wilhelm- "But we should learn in 'zeh most proper... of circumstances. Also, I believe Tomasz has already taken his leave."
Theodore- "Ugh! This is so disappointing."
Wilhelm- "I hate to be 'zeh bearer of bad news. You seem to be a resourceful chap, I'm sure it will work out for you eventually. Perhaps another night?"

Theodore- "Say, what do you think of your captor? Are you fond of him?"
Wilhelm- "Pardon?"
Wilhelm- "Ah, I-- I do not think 'zhis is an appropriate venue for such a conversation..."
Theodore- "Hm. Duly noted. So where are the progenitors then?"
Wilhelm- "Oh Gott, hilf mir ... Hm, yes that is a question."
Theodore- " The night is still young, and I have a ready sword that cannot be sheathed! In that I didn't actually bring a sheath with me, it was a spur of the moment thing you see."
Wilhelm- "Completely understandable."

Trevor - "Ah, I think Ms. Inka is at the aquarium tonight. I don't know anybody else."
{Trevor internal monologue}Trevor considered this course of action he was taking, regardless of actual future consequences. What if it would be difficult to traverse the spirit world without Inka's assistance? Would elemental gods aligned with his mentor get word of such disloyalty? After mulling over the hypotheticals he gave a mental shrug.

Theodore- "Is she? Fantastic! But-- I haven't got all my arrangements in order, you see I'll need to... well I suppose I should talk about that another time." Wilhelm gave Trevor mad side-eye.
Wilhelm- "Now then, it just seems like tonight is not your night. There are so many things to account for, no need to rush into things.. uh, half-cocked as it were."
Theodore- "But 'do or die!'"
Wilhelm- "But it could be 'do and die' just as easily. Yes? Or 'don't do and live.' I don't see why not."
Theodore- " *groan* "

Trevor - "We can play another time if tonight is not good."

Sarah- "Wilhelm? What is all this?" Wilhelm- "It is nothing, Sarah darling, just a wayward guest."
Sarah- "Huh? Wait... I recognize you, where have we met...?"
Theodore- "Oh, it's you."

Sarah- "Little... Theodore, was it? Does your Mommy know you're out this late?"
Theodore- "Don't you bring her up!"
Wilhelm- "I see you two haff met."
Sarah- "What's this runty little loser doing here? With a sword? Oh brother. This is a place for adults, not for little baby make believe, dumbass."
Theodore- "So rude!" He pointed the sword, which made everyone on the other side take a few steps back. Sarah- "How dare you threaten me!"
Wilhelm- "I'm sure he is just gesturing with it. But it is perhaps not in 'zeh best of taste. How about we all start over. Tomorrow night. Yes? I'm interested in hearing more of your thesis. Under a more fitting circumstance."
Theodore- "Really?"
Sarah- "Just get out of here, stupid!"
Theodore- "Feh! Just tell your Daddy that I have arrived, and the game is afoot."
He transformed into an ink wash of a shadow, slipped down the hall, and through a window. Wilhelm slumped against the door frame, his nerves unraveled. Wilhelm- "Gott im Himmel, tragen mich weg..."
Sarah- "What the fuck! What's he even talking about? Gawd!"

Trevor sighed. That woman really was so rude.
Trevor - "Goodnight, Theodore," He bid as the shadow slipped out of sight.
