Trevor thanked Courtney for the tip and took a stroll across the street to The Red Turnip. It was a popular, but relatively small restaurant with quaint cottage inspired decor. Standing outside Trevor could see inside the establishment through the solid glass pane windows; Warm lighting glowing off the wooden floors and furniture, and the tall backed chairs looked inviting. Booths were made private with circular enclosures, and he decided one of those would be a decent place to make any suspicious activity relatively unnoticeable under the hum of friendly conversation and silverware clinking, clattering, and scraping against china.
It was a busy night for The Red Turnip, and patrons had a solid fifteen minute wait to be seated. His waitress, a Choihan-Glennish woman in her early twenties, was very personable and patient as Trevor took his time ordering food he could not eat. He eventually settled on an open-faced puff pastry pie, heavily laden with blueberries, and an iced blackcurrant tea. He passed the sweet off on a little redheaded girl with darkly freckled skin as she was passing by. She devoured as much as possible before her mother, assuming she found it on the floor, took the small remainder away.
Trevor set aside the fruity red tea, condensation beading on its pretty glass, and wiped up some water before opening his miniature hard carrying case onto the round table.

He glanced to the opening of his booth. No one passing by was paying any attention. What to do now? In the past few days he'd learned that Lepponens usually cultivate spirit allies. And while he was finding out interesting things about Washy Wendy's talents, it would be nice to meet some more friendly types. So where to begin?

Trevor had just the right things to welcome kindly spirits. He takes out a small glass jar of dried basil, removes the lid, and crumbles the fragmented leaves around the periphery of his booth, using small movements to avoid drawing attention. It wouldn't offer the protection of chalk or charcoal, but really was so much more pleasant. After returning the dried basil to the case Trevor dabs lotus flower oil onto his wrists and the back of his neck.
Satisfied, Trevor began to chant very gently. As the words flowed the herb's scent commanded Trevor's senses and oil felt heavier on his neck. As his consciousness ebbed the voices flowed in, and one was especially chatty...

Spirit Voice - "Hi there! Hi! Hi! Hi there! Hello!" Called a small, sweet voice in a musical tone.
Trevor - "Well, hello. Whom am I speaking to?"
Spirit Voice - "Others call me Miss Bunny, but you can call me Bunny for short. So, how are you?" The voice replied sounding just as sweet as before, though it dropped the musicality.
Trevor - "Nice to meet you, Bunny. You can call me Trevor. Hmm, I'm alright. Trevor explained how he felt awkward ordering something that would ultimately go to waste, but was happy to give it away.Miss Bunny - "How kind of you! It's very pleasant talking, Mr. Trevor. You're not the type to just throw somebody nice away, right? Hey, what did you hafta order, anyway?"
Trevor - "A blueberry pie and an iced blackcurrant tea, which I still have."
Miss Bunny - "Oh, I love tea parties! Um, Trevor..."
Trevor - "Yes?"
Miss Bunny - Can I- erm- ask you a favor?"
Trevor - "Go right ahead."
Miss Bunny - "Would it be alright if you let me visit since, well... You're not able to have the tea anyway, right?"
Trevor - "Oh, of course."
Trevor - 「MISS BUNNY ここに来てください。」 From under the table a pair of floppy fabric ears popped suddenly into view.
Miss Bunny - "Trevor!" Miss Bunny bounced into Trevor's arms, and he quickly handed her the tea before she could make any more of a fuss. He kindly explained while she contentedly sipped that they needed to be very quiet in the restaurant.
Miss Bunny - "Yes, okay. I am quiet. See how quiet I am?" Then she finished her tea, tilting the cup all the way back to get the final drops, and hiccuped berry colored effervesce.
Miss Bunny - "Hic! Hee hee."

With nothing to keep Miss Bunny occupied, it was only a matter of time before she started getting into trouble. Trevor managed to convince her to ride out of The Red Turnip hanging off the handle of his case like a big accessory. She seemed to find this enjoyable and waited until they were out the door before a gleeful giggle escaped. Trevor passed this off as his cellphone to a couple that was leaving the building a few steps behind him.
Together they chatted walking down the street, Miss Bunny tucked in Trevor's arm. He continued to use his cellphone as a visual cue for passing strangers, fooling them into thinking the little voice was coming from the speaker. It took very little explanation for Bunny to accept the need for deception tactics. This was perhaps due to her being very astute or simply very trustful.
Trevor - "We use these to speak to each other across long distances."
Miss Bunny - "Mm-hmm."
Trevor - "I wouldn't try to disguise your voice ordinarily, but these people aren't accustomed to spirits."
Miss Bunny - "'Kay." After covering a fair distance Trevor turned around and began to head back before too much time had passed.

Trevor may not have even needed to disguise the bunny's voice, but it was genuinely hard for him to tell in this moment whether or not she was audible to humans. Certainly her manipulation of the tea would have been visible, but was she? Maybe it was the distractions of the big city, but it was more confusing than usual.
((Head back as in to the symphony or head back as in to the turnip? If he goes back to the symphony hall, does he go in or hang out in the extensive atrium and mezzanine areas?))

Trevor was returning to the theater building, though he was thinking he'd loiter outside and talk a little longer. It would be uncomfortable coming in on what now was surely the second movement, and he had no idea where his group was seated.
((Notes on continuity: From this, one may see Trevor had had some experience with theatergoing prior to the current moment. His parents love several classical composers, such as the [KF equivalent of Hungarian] composer István Molnár, and took their son with them when they went to see (mostly civic, but also professional) orchestras play. His interest in rock and pop doesn't stem from trying to distance himself from his parents tastes, which he thinks are just fine, but simply has a preference for danceable music with lyrics.))

Trevor was on the opposite side of the building from where some broken glass lay. Nothing jumped out as unusual in the night air. To wait inside or out? Well, it was hard to be certain where in the performance Sarah was without a closer listen.
He went to the outer mezzanine casually. Security guards paid him almost no attention. He could hear what he recognized as being around the middle of the third movement of a very intricate and fast composition by Gianetta. The mezzanine's ceiling towered forty to fifty feet above. A few other random people came and went, though most of the remaining people out here were staff of one kind or another.
It was a bit tempting to space out. The city was full of spirits. Who knows what he'd see in here? Another thing that crossed his mind - he wasn't sure that Courtney really intended to go into the show. Where would she be if she hadn't gone in?

If Trevor were to find Courtney he had no idea where to start looking. He sat on a bench and continued listening to Miss Bunny talk a while longer.
Miss Bunny - "Then Viggitypa the fox and Oombitbit the gecko told me that if the flowers in my garden didn't run free, they would never reach their full potential. That's when I told the little, white larkspur, 'run free!' and they all grew their wings and teeth at once, leaping into the air in a beauuuuutiful dance. So, what do you like to do for fun?"

...and so it went. Depending on how entertaining Trevor finds his new friend, he could go quite a while before doing anything different. The performance in theater nearby continued in its way.

Trevor had waited a good long time with Miss Bunny, getting to know her well. But eventually, he decided to move on...
