Gina - "I don't know enough about this record to trust it. Still, I don't want to leave behind anybody that's in trouble, and I don't want to miss any information that could lead us to Joseph and the other children. Let's all go upstairs and see if we can find anything useful before moving on." ((I will describe the room up the stairs in the near future. I'm too sleepy right now, though. ))

Colleen, scoffing, - "To be fair, we don't know much about this house either, yet look where we're standing..."
Zoe - "Sorry..."
Sam - "Hey, it's not like you decided to wait outside."
Gina - "Girls, this is not the time."
Jake - "At any rate, we won't get anything done by standing here. Not that I'm thrilled to explore a creepy ghost house.."

Careful as everyone was not to touch the railing going up the stairs, dust still managed to find its way onto people's clothes.
On the upper level were a bathroom, a bedroom, and a closed door.
Adrian - "I'd ask who wants to go first, but I already know the answer to that."
Sam and Zoe giggle sheepishly.

Again, Sam and Zoe were the first to go through the door with Ms. Thompson on their heels. Inside was not a conventional living space, but an entire town in miniature, set on simple wooden tables. Houses, streets, shops, even an orchard were accounted for, and all to scale. Every detail was carefully painted, down to each individual brick in a rustic home, to the gentle blush of blossoming milkweed.
Small wax dolls dotted various porches, cleared gutters while balancing on miniature ladders, and children ran down the streets. Even more could be seen working, relaxing, and canoodling within the buildings open backs.
Naturally, Zoe the fashion doll collector was eager to tour. In one house alone she could find children pestering a mother working in the kitchen, a tiny cocker spaniel destroying a quilt dragged from a bed, and a man furiously working at a type writer.
Zoe - "Look! His little fingers are even stained with ink."
Adrian - "That's actually amazing. I don't think anybody's here, though."

Colleen and Jake followed not-so-eagerly. Jake's eyes widened at the meticulously crafted scene. Whoever set all this up, they must have had a lot of time on their hands.
Jake - "Nice deducing skills there pal.." Colleen rolled her eyes. "..Anyways. Look at how intricately this is all set up. Maybe Vincent isn't completely wrong. This probably took a long time, so it's probably important. Wonder what happens if we smash it."
Zoe - "Don't you dare! It takes miniaturists decades to finish crafting anything these things."

Gina - "I'm not certain what you're hoping to achieve by moving pieces from their sets. I think we should head to school as we originally planned."
Sam - "Aw, I'm not finished looking yet."

Jake saw Vincent go for the dolls. "I don't think that's a good idea, man..."
Colleen - "Yeah, let's get out of here. These dolls are givin' me the creeps."

Vincent put his fingers to the figure standing on a ladder, but quickly pulled them back. Although the dolls appeared to be wax, the texture felt eerily similar to human flesh.
Gina - "Let's go, everyone."
The group decided to forget the houses and filed out.
