Jason felt a disturbance in the force, yo. Shadows were running all up in his grits.

"Oh shit..." Jason was too distracted by the shadows all up in his grill to even try anything. He tried poking Eli's face in an attempt to get him distracted.

Jason pulled Eli in for a quick kiss.
"You're such a show off." He said teasingly as he made another attempt at the shadow thing.

Webster- "..." Someone receded into the warmer human-smelling elements of the background. Meanwhile, Jason found the shadow stuff wasn't too hard. He wasn't as good at it as Eli. Like, if they did the shadow equivalent of arm-wrestling, Jason loses every time.

Jason tried to move the shadow somewhat near Eli's face.

Easily done, unless Eli resisteth.

The weird dead guys retreated from the world around them, the occult manipulation of light making humans even less attentive to the disruption of their world view than they already would have been. To Jason, Eli was looking like a silhouette of guy.

Jason continued to make attempts moving the shadows.

The boys were basically just doing homework at this point. The movie - as loud as it was - just became a muted roar as the two sank into a self-imposed darkness. Eli did find he was always more comfortable and easy with this every time he tried it, but didn't necessarily feel like he was going to experience any breakthroughs soon. Nonetheless, it had a relaxing quality. He was almost in another place, cold, airy, empty. Jason's practice was, by comparison, that of a child just introduced to clay. He could do some things, but not very easily or accurately.

Jason turned to Webster then whispered,
"So...what do you think so far?"

Webster- "It's alright. What do you think?" It was hard to say anything about it. Jason had been too focused on other things to process the plot. Looking at the screen now, there was that skinny lady with the serious head tilt walking through a bunch of trees again. The music was some kind of avant garde noise art with crunching snow and tubular bells.

"Err...it's okay. I honestly don't know what's going on. These type of movies are for a certain type of audience I guess. I'm not really in to this stuff."

Webster- "Yeah, sorry. It's just the only thing that interested me on the marquee."

To Webster,
"Its all good." To Eli,
"Do you really think that's a good idea? I won't take responsibility for my actions if he gets drunk. Temptation is a motherfucker, sweetheart. I made you a promise and I'm trying to keep it." He spoke in a voice low enough voice that no humans could hear.

"I didn't exactly know how shit worked the last time I was at a bar. Plus, I wasn't near anyone drunk who I knew on somewhat of a personal level.. never mind, It doesn't matter."
