In the last few months, Wolf had learned to not care how much something he had stolen was worth, money-wise, but he still grumbled under his breath about having to walk.
Unmodified roll: 10.

Breg- Bregga gives Wolf a consolidation pat on the shoulder with one of her hands, and gives him an awkward smile. "It's ok, we'll find another bike. I have the tools to free something up for you if we come across it, Wolf." 12 Sylvia- "... Hm. Cheery place, actually." She isn't watching where's she's going, instead watching the far-off dark ghosts. She hopes, sincerely, that she doesn't catch their eyes. Wherever they were... 9

"Well this one time, we had run out of.." Rob began to regale them with a lofty tale of hijinks.
The group heard rustles in bushes nearby, it was hard to tell what made them, it could have just been the wind. Molly noticed that the hand looked a lot fresher than the others, almost life-like.. In fact the zombie pile began to shift and move as something made it's way from underneath.

Molly gasped and took several steps away from the fresh hand. She pointed with her own!"Watch out!" She held her bat at the ready!

Breg- "Molly, what did you see?" She jogs to Molly's side with her wet, sloshy shoes, and holds her hammer at the ready. Sylvia- "The birds must have been all over this stuff. Ew, waiting for a zombie to crawl out or something?"

"My name is Molly, Honey. What'll you accept for more information about May? I don't have fake teeth, sadly, but I did bring a romance novel about werewolves and mermaids." She'd jumped behind Sylvia when the gun came out, and it made her feel like a cowardly sort. Molly just never felt safe around strangers with guns. At least she could outrun a zombie (on a good day), but only superman went faster than a speeding bullet! And superman was a fictional character. Unlike Molly!
Molly wasn't fictional.
She wasn't!

Sylvia- "Woah there, who are you people?" She braced her rifle against her shoulder and although it wasn't quite aimed at the intruders, it was aimed high enough to be an implied threat.
Sylvia smiled boldly, and cocked her hips a little, putting her weight back in her waterbound boots. "Were you just waiting here hoping that someone would show up in a pile of zombies? I'm Sylvia." Bregga- "I'm Breg. Have you seen any of Robert's friends? We're looking for them... You wouldn't happen to know would you?" Bregga frowned, and then struggled against it briefly to smile.
She had the crawling feeling that these may have been ex-friends, and kept on alert, but had no guns around. She did have a nice back-pack and stunning crowbar though.

Wolf remained silent and scanned the gunmen as casually as possible for anything that might give his party an edge. He was no master of reading combat readiness, but he could spot a mark for a con (or fast talk) as easy as registering eye color.
Unmodified roll for observation: 17 (+2=19 if you grant for his con-man specialty) (no I really don't know what I'm looking for here, but Wolf is much slicker than I am.)

-Katie "Shame bout the teeth. Mermaids and werewolves? That's not a Ruthie Brooke's book is it? Alright, Molly show us this novella and you might have a deal there." She turned to Sylvia with a crooked grin. "We're survivors like yourself. You have to play to your strengths, mine being I lost my sense of smell three years back. Also you weren't exactly the quietest of groups." Stan- "You'll get info on Robert's 'friends' when we decide you got something worth trading it for mam-sir. This is a tit for tat service. Are you sure you don't have plastic teeth? Darn. What about a steak knife? Or a frying pan? We burn ours cooking seagulls... Damn feathers. How about some juicy goss, anything funky down in Madrona?"The lady gunmen noticed Wolf checking her out. She was at least in her sixties, so there was that advantage. She looked confident with the piece but there was definite naivety there. She seemed like a pretty sweet old lady but it was hard to work out if her eyes were greeny blue or bluey green. Were they turquoise? It was tricky. "I'll tell the cutie there anything, especially if he'll give me a peck on the cheek." She winked at Wolf mischievously.

"Well, here you go, Katie. It'll make good firewood, too ... the writing style isn't my favorite. I used to be a writer, you know." If Molly didn't mention that she was a writer at least once a day, her soul died. She got a bit closer to Katie and tried to ignore the stench of dead bodies."If you want gossip from Madrona, we live in a house full of nuns, including big Sylvia over there. She used to be a basketball player, though. It doesn't get better than that, right? Maybe you should ask her what she did during her off-seasons." Or who she did. Heeeeeeeeyo.

Sylvia- "I have my boot knife." She offers, pulling a butcher knife out of her boot, wrapped in a piece of furniture leather. "Ur or...um...hm. I have a book with me, in case I got bored..." She pulls out a dusty copy of Red Skies from her bag, with a menacing image of an alien upon it. Bregga- Bregga seems to understand and nods. Most of the things that she carries are important to the mission, and so cannot be offered. She puts her hands in her pockets. "I'm sure we have something to offer."

Wolf cocked an eyebrow and grinned."Y'know, I think I might just know where you could find those teeth you were lookin' for, darlin'. We cleaned a place out for medical supplies, an orthodontist up at 34th & Cherry. There were some serious creepy creeps up there, but they followed us home and got th'mselves dead, so I reckon it's not occupied anymore. Can't see as a lot of people woulda had any call to loot the teeths; maybe the'll have what yer after." Wolf had casually closed the distance with the older lady, but kept enough distance that most wouldn't have taken it as threatening. His smile held."And, uh, if ya have a want for some liquor, I have a cache hidden not far from there, under the porch of the big, white house at 35th & Cherry. You might have to fight some raccoons 'r skunks r' possums to get it, but maybe less so if you wait for 'em to go out scavengin' at night." He gave the old lady a wink and a genuine smile, less wolfish than his usual."I, uh, 'foresaw' an increase in demand and squirreled some away here and there where I figgered nobody'd be lookin'. If I recall correckly, I left a mixed box of Jack D and Cuervo at that par-ticular location. Seems the residents of the place mighta been frat boys. Sorry I ate all the spray-cheese though."

Stan- "Well aren't you a generous lot? Alright, give me the knife, Katie the romance novel and we've got a deal. Thanks err blue hair guy, we'll look into that." Tina- "I used to pink rinse my hair you know, Stan. It was quite fashionable. Thank you kind young gentleman, you can visit any old time." Tina beamed, quite taken with him.Stan collected the knife from Sylvia and Katie grabbed the novel from Molly with a toothy grin and the strong smell of rotted corpses.
Katie- "Alright go a couple blocks up then turn left. It's the big place with the balcony, you can't miss it. Some advice though cause I like you. Rob ain't too popular up there and May's new man is a weird guy. Good luck." "..." Tina- "I can come if you like? They won't mess with me!" She winked at Wolf again.
