Trevor follows Inka's lead.

Inka sat opposite Trevor at the board and led him through some exercises, limbering up magically, chanting a bit, and then... Inka- "We will both have hands on the planchette, but you will do the seeking. I will read what the board writes, until you find a guide and leave your body. Is this good to you?"

Trevor - "Yes. I'm all ready." ((Bring it on. ))

They both put their hands on the planchette and scrolled it in circles for a few moments, then Inka- "OK. I think it is ready."
Trevor should start asking questions of the spirit world.

Trevor had only seen people use spirit boards in movies before this night. From what he remembered it was simple as asking the board a question, so he gave it a go.
Trevor - "Is there a spirit that can help me to learn?"

She read off the resulting letters... Inka- "O-M-F-P-G-T-T-T-G-H... Omfpgt't't'gh? Perhaps feel out the spirit world fyirst."
Trevor would notmally be able to look into the spirit world - at least nearby - quite easily. But rituals to call out to spirits let that go farther - he just needed to get these spirits talking first.

Something wasn't right. Trevor uses the method from the previous night to call out to the spirits, hoping that that would help the process along. He looks up to the heavens and repeats,
Trevor - 「ああ、妖怪 、聞こえますか?」
{not sure if this is necessary for spell casting, but including it just in case}((Game Speak/Talk to Spirits))

When his hands returned to the planchette, it began to move again. Inka read it off, Inka- "YES-YES-W-E-C-A-N-H-E-R. 'Yes we can hear,' it seems. Good!"

With the spirits all ears, Trevor gave the initial question a second try.
Trevor - "Is there a spirit that can help me to learn?" ((Oh please, oh please let there be the ghost of an old magician on the line. ))

Inka- "S-O-D-O-F-F-U-S-H-YES-2-L-O-V-I-T-E-W-H-A-T-A-R-E-Y-O-U-1. This is all garbled. Maybe find one spirit who wants to talk first and if they are not good, have them get another one."

Trevor resumes the chanting until he finally hears... ((Thy Dungyeon Maestyr - Ball's in your court!))

((I guess you've never used a ouija board in the ways I'm accustomed to. The peeps I've seen play are like A) are there any spirits here? B) what is your name? stuff about you? C) can you tell me about cool stuff/the future/ how my stupid brother will die? It's cheeky fun. I figured C) is where you'd get to asking for a spirit guide.
...Or maybe you aren't interested in this aspect of magicky stuff, which I find unfortunate because your character concept is so antisocial that stuff like this might be most of what you get to play. Even on team Theodore, he'll have to speak to be spoken to. But moving along, maybe we'll find some aspect of this that you find tolerable to RP...))
Trevor had a few rounds of confused conversation before he slipped fully into pure spirit speech. The words coming out of his mouth were barely audible slurred Kohonese, but the words coming out of his mind spoke directly to the creatures (and Lepponen bystander Inka) in ways they could easily understand. ((Incidentally, the spirit speech power is a good way to ditch Trevor's linguistic limitation and write more expressively, if you so desire.))
After an hour, they had worked out a deal with a likely spirit, and Trevor prepared himself for an out of body experience... Torraighn- "LET'S GO."
Inka waved goodbye, Trevor's eyes rolled up in his head, and he was as inanimate as a corpse should be. His spirit flailed for a moment and found purchase on the hem of Torraighn's robe, and they flew into a silvery void...

((Trevor was attempting to allow the words come through the board more clearly, but accidentally went into a full-on trance. He hasn't used a ouija/spirit board before, so he wasn't sure about how it works. I, on the other hand, have played only once. It brought through a goofy guy who called himself E-Z that said lots of utterly ridiculous things and was great fun.)) Trevor found his footing in the great, fluttering sheets and felt the weight of his spirit gently pull the fabric under him. He looked up to see his guide's face high above, then looked out into the bottomless unknown, a land alien as the deep sea. ((Please edit this experience if it's in some way off.))
Trevor - "Thanks for taking me along with you. Are we going somewhere, or is this space our destination?"

((Was that after March 1995?)) Torraighn- "You are the seeker. What do you seek?"
The spirit world was a roiling sea of forms and concepts, too complex to consider at once without breaking his mind. Trevor quickly found he could shift his focus, much like in the material realm when he tried to peer through the heat light around a human, only here he was doing it to see things more superficially. Much easier to process, when it just looked like a silvery void of aimless diffuse light. Even in that superficial state, his eyes here could trace the direction of light beams in a strange way. Here the billions of them passed through each other endlessly like a god's screensaver.

((Yes...?))
Trevor - "Forgive me if this is too forward a thing to ask, but how much are you able- or willing- to tell me about the nature of unearthly beings such as yourself? I believe it would be disrespectful if I were to continue interacting with your realm while maintaining a state of ignorance."
