Dr. Jar -
Ru awoke to something kind of alarming. Dragomir's voice. From the other room it called, Dragomir- "Hey, Ru, Cameron. Get out here, kids."
From the other room, he could hear Cameron falling out of his bed and scrambling to his feet. Someone else shifted feet nervously in the main room. Hard to imagine Dragomir being nervous - another person?

Ru- Ru woke up and got dressed quickly, bringing his jacket and tie with him as he trotted. He was more than a little concerned about a family vampire being worried about anything, most of the elder vampires weren't worried about anything, anytime. "I'm coming. Where do you want me?"

He came into the room to find old Dragomir standing with Tristan and Cameron. No Demetri in sight. Dragomir- "Come with me lads, I need to teach you something."

Ru- "Me? Well, alright..." The thought made him nervous, but then again, he couldn't always ask Demetri to come to him, could he? "What's the lesson today?" He did his best not to sound nervous in the meantime. "Demetri, where are you?" Ru tried.

Dragomir- "You'll see..."
The old man led them down the hall to a weird room. Its original purpose was impossible to glean, the windows were high on the walls, and it looked like it had been used for office space some time ago. But now it held racks of medieval weapons and empty suits of armor. Dragomir led them to a slab of concrete with a huge sword embedded in it blade first. There were scrapes leading from the back door to where the concrete slab now sat, as if someone had moved it inside the hard way. Dragomir- "You boys hear of the legend of the stone?"
Cameron- "Yeah, like, the sword stuck in the rock?"
Dragomir- "You too, Tristan? The legend has spread through the world, hasn't it? 'Take the sword and become king.' Well, there it is, boys. Try your luck?"
Does Ru give it a burl, wait for the others, or what? He's fairly sure that at least Cameron and possibly Tristan are also calling to Demetri in their minds.

Ru- "Oh...Um... I'll try... Thank you... Is...it really? Or what is it? " Ru had to say, this was probably a trap of some sort, but he decided to try his luck, and gave up calling Demetri for now. Demetri was probably busy doing important business and did't have time to babysit baby vampires.
He hesitated, before walking over to the slab, and then smiled hesitantly at Dragomir. He positioned himself behind the sword, and gingerly tried to take it, with a single hand first, just in case he got stuck, or it electrocuted him, or set him on fire or something rather than not-making him the King.

It was a pointlessly huge sword - one and a half hands, six inch broad blade, really long, and as firm in the cement as a flagpole. He could pull on it uselessly without exploding, but it was a resistance exercise, like pushing against a brick wall. It wasn't going anywhere.

Ru- Ru was pretty sure that middle-ages people did not have concrete, and he wasn't sure what kind of person could use a sword like that.
He inspected it to see if he could find a different way to crack the concrete around it.

He didn't see anything, but Dragomir didn't let him look for long before throwing some shade. Dragomir- "It ain't that kind of puzzle kid. Too strong for you? Someone else wanna give it a try?"
Cameron- "...I guess so."
Does Ru have any thoughts or anything he says as the next guy steps up to bat?

Ru- Ru stepped away from the sword quietly. Was this a test they were supposed to lose? He looked at it thoughtfully and them back at Dragomir, and wondered what his motive was in all of this.
He must have put it there. To watch them all fail. But why?

Cameron gave a few tugs but wasn't going to bother after that. Dragomir- "That's no fun, kid. Don't ya wanna be king?"
Cameron- "Naw."
Tristan- "OK..."
Tristan tried harder. Ru thought he might even be using his vampire strength, but it was to no avail. Tristan- "I can't Mr. Tomasz. It's stuck too much."
Dragomir- "Oh is it?"

Ru- Ru waited, they had all failed. It didn't seem like they were supposed to do it. Did he put it together to make them all feel bad about themselves? That wasn't very nice. "I don't think any of us are meant to be Kings then. Sorry to disappoint."

Everyone stepped aside as the little bastard strutted to the slab. Dragomir- "Well, could it be I am meant to be king?"
Cameron- "Aren't you alr--"
Dragomir- "There is no king. But let's see..."
... And for the first time ever, events from the comic happened with a player character to witness. Dragomir casually pulled the sword out with a terrible noise, then wheeled around and brought it down on the slab so hard the stone split deeply and cracked throughout. He bent back and tossed the sword almost like a boomerang. More hellish noises sounded as it bisected two suits of full plate armor, and somehow ended up embedded high in a wall.
After he finished, he gestured for the young vampires to look up at the sword, still wobbling in place from his display of power. The Guys- "..."
Dragomir- "You will never be able to do that. Now-"
A wild flapping in the hall suddenly became walking noises and Demetri quickly strode in. Demetri- "Tomasz, hello. I got stuck in traffic. Thank you for watching the youths for a while, but I can take it from here..."

Ru- After watching that, Ru was unsure what the meaning of that display was meant to be, besides that some very valuable and expensive plate armor had just been destroyed. He must have spent some time working on this to show them up.
Ru had never assumed that he was anything less than a minor God, and would until he acted otherwise. "Oh, yes you're very strong." Ru was all but elated that Demetri showed up, and did his best to look otherwise, but that didn't seem to work. He walked up to him in a hurry anyhow, "Yes, thank you for showing us your power, Dragomir."

Dragomir- "That's Tomasz, kid."
Demetri- "Yes, indeed, good to remind him, well, we'll be back later, so...
Tomasz's eyes shot from Demetri to the sword in the wall and back. Ru seemed tense as he watched Mr. Dragomir's eyes move to the sword and back, and takes a step next to Demetri. He could, whenever he had wished, cut through them all like paper, that point was WOEFULLY clear. Ru- "Yes, Tomaz. Thank you.... That was very enlightening."
Eventually everyone was successfully shuffled out of the room. When they were out of sight, Ru moved to kiss Demetri's hand, but the man pulled his hand away with a sheepish expression. Ru said quietly,Ru- "Thank you."
Demetri- "Certainly. Think nothing of it."
As Demetri walked the lads to the car, he said, Demetri- "I really was stuck in traffic. Won't let that happen again... He would have put that sword through me just then, if it was convenient."
Cameron- "Just killed you, after all this time?"
Demetri- "No, not that he would take special pains to keep it from happening on accident. He'd just impale me and leave me to work my way out of it."
Tristan- "Oh Damy, this is really terrible."
Demetri- "Oh, I'm probably making it sound worse than it is..."
They reached the car.
