To Ru - "Ah yes, Santi is a top hole chap. He's quite patient, thank goodness for me. I made a bit of a mess of my first attempt at some of our abilities." He didn't add that he did think there was something slightly on-edge about the man at points, though. Probably wouldn't do to mention it in front of Wilhelm. To Babette - "Don't count yourself out so quickly, dear. The lovely thing about stars is that there is always more than one. I'm sure you'll shine bright as always."

Ru- "That was really very poetic Quinn. Collection? Collection of what?" He asks August, but seems to be thinking about the possibility that he may not want to know that answer. Instead, Ru simply smiles and leans against Babette. She was no longer warm, but her presence was comforting.

He blushed, pleased but embarrassed. To Ru - "The gift of a musician. Nothing more."

Babette got starry-eyed and peeked over Ru to look at their resident musician.
"I'm moonstruck." She was proud of that word. It complemented their discussion about astronomy.
"Quinn. Can you write me a ballad? Wilhelm. This movie must have a romantic ballad."

Wilhelm- "Oh goodie, we must haff a duet! Mr. Ru, I do hope you can sing as well. 'Zeh song of a villain is most underrepresented!"

"…. Aren't I director? Lawdamimbo! I'm not doing a musical number. Do y'all have no respect for my art?" "I'll just go die… again." August looked sulkily out of the car. Why was he even here? Clearly it was Wilhelm's film. August huffed.. a lot.

Ru- Ru noticed with a start that something had set off his sensative artistic-spirited friend. He reached out and gently patted his arm with a single pale hand. "Ohhh. August, don't worry. Sometimes producers make big choices, sometimes stars make choices, but you will direct all the action, and your individuality will make an impression on everyone, I promise..." He spoke with the gentle sincerity that another delicate artistic spirit might bestow on another. Ru- "Oh... Mr. Wilhelm, I'll sing whatever you would like. I'm not perfect but most male parts don't require a huge range, thankfully. Maybe if you have someone to coach me I'd do a little better through rough areas, right?" Ru delicately placed his hand on Wilhelms in turn, trying to keep every crowd happy. Keeping peace among sensitive artists was walking on eggshells.

Wilhelm- "Oh darling Augie, of course you'll haff creative freedom... to an extent. What's wrong with a musical number? Don't you youths enjoy 'zeh "Rock Operas?"

"Rock? Can we get The Belfries in it?… Maybe just one. Do they give Arby awards to musicals?"

Wilhelm- "Now are you really after GFA's approval? You may get a golden award, but at what cost? Even after 'zhey lauded that atrocious 'Goblin Fist' train-wreck over 'zeh Dark Squire?' Oh, perhaps you were not born yet. I was quite offended, anyhow."

Quinn smiled a little more gently, soothingly. To August - "I don't know about you, old boy, but I joined the first project to make something, not to win awards. Besides, you never know." To Ru - "If they end up wanting you to sing, I can always make a simpler harmony for you. It would sound just as nice as something more complex and it would be just as complimentary. What do you think, Babette?"

"I did an essay on it for film history, a tragedy for sure, Wil. There was something fishy and not just that dreadful shark scene amirite? How many Antearctan directors have been recognised so far though y'all? I tell ya right now, zero. We had to make our own up... It's embarrassing. It'd be nice for me ma and pa ya know?"

Ru- "That would be nice, something simple but resounding. Maybe August could create the lyrics? Or are you more of a poet, Mr. Wilhelm?" Ru asks delicately, folding his hands across his lap now. He smiled at Babette contentedly. The new movie could be about vampire muskrats and he'd be happy as a clam, he was sure.

Babette thought poor dear August was still peeved about silly movie awards."The GFA is terrible. They probably choose winners by throwing darts at a list pinned to the wall. Don't fret about shiny trophies. Chin up." "Listen. I've been taking voice lessons from one of my boys. He calls me a darling songbird." She jumped into a melancholy chanson réaliste with somewhat more enthusiasm than talent. "♪♪♪ Toi qui m'aimais, moi qui t'aimais. J'ai bien trop à faire pour pouvoir rêver! ♪♪♪"
Wilhelm- "Beautiful...!"
