Eli dug around in a storage room and returned with a folder and a metal panel. Eli- "Sadly no health drinks, so let's hope this stays an 'escape the room' game and not a survival horror."
Eli- "But it is horrible, and I would prefer to survive..."
As Eli returned and gave Sophie the tool, Babette licked dry blood spatter from the back of her hand. Then, she eyed Jason sneakily. He was like a walking, talking lollypop.
Bad thoughts! No! You won't lick your innocent friend, Babette. How very inappropriate.
Sophie- "Thanks, Eli. We'll try this the easiest way first." She stuck the end of the metal sheet between the door and the frame above the lock and slid it down with force. The door effortlessly became unlocked. Clack. It was still technically in the locked position, but the bolt was held open by the sheet.(ORIGINALLY...) "Thanks, Eli. (ORIGINALLY...)((I'm awake right this second and this second only for some stupid reason and then I return to the tomb like an underbaked jesus. One post for you!))
The door effortlessly became unlocked. Clack. It was still technically in the locked position, but the bolt was held open by the sheet. holding that in place while opening the door finishes the trick...
((Everyone post last words before venturing out, we'll describe the larger world whence we return.)) "You did it! You're amazing, Sophie!" Despite all this chaos, it felt good to have some measure of control. Eli was happy that they were making some sort of change in their environment, although he had a hunch that they were being tracked somehow.
Still... Eli couldn't help but make the comparison to little kids at a playground; they could move around a little, talk to each other, and get hurt...but parents were always nearby, keeping a watch. The question was, when would the metaphorical 'parents' come to scoop up their children and take them back home?
'Oh well, no use worrying about that. We just have to do what we can.'

Eli- "Hah! Oh we're gonna do this, everything's gonna be fine!" Sophie- "Hell yes. Teamwork!"
Sophie held the door open with one hand and gave Eli a high five with the other. She was grateful she didn't have to do any picking.
"After you guys."
August- "Bombaroo!! Good job guys!! Sophie, if we get out of here, I promise my next piece will be a costume-palooza!" He shot them some finger guns for good measure. Leo- "Kickin'! Way to go man!" Leo felt a massive wave of relief wash over her. They could get out of there, finally. Though where did this door lead? Right to their captors, maybe? She didn't care, as long as she could get as far away from those gore filled rooms as possible. Hopefully Brent had gone this way, too. Ru- "Good job Sophie. You are all so wonderful." It somehow reassured him that they were all here together, and helping each other. He had half expected not to see most of them again. Well, he could have been unlucky Brent, at least he was alive. He was alive? He was...whatever this was, which was better than being dead-dead.
Being chosen by the lovely one was maybe not the best thing after all.
There was no way they were all going to escape. But he knew that Babette already realized that. What would he say? Oh we were let out and just followed along, we were so hungry, more blood would be nice...
Ru stepped out into the next area, with a sense of peace. Quinn- "Ladies and gentlemen, on to the next challenge." His tone was bracing, but he wasn't going to kid himself into believing this was over just yet. Still, it was the tone of a fighting spirit. Babette- "I love you, Sophie. Truly." She blew a kiss Sophie's way. "This better not be the setup for a surprise party," Babette murmured. "It is our deathday, afterall. ♪ ♪ Dark willows ... hm hm ... call you Dorein to be my love ... ♪ ♪" If a bunch of spooky vampires leaped from the shadows and yelled, 'Surprise!' she might faint.
Trevor quietly followed. Trevor - "..."
Jason wrapped his blood covered arms around Sophie and squeezed her tightly. Without her, they would've never found a way out of this hell hole. Jason- "Thank-you."

The door opened into...
A hall that did not have an open ceiling like this one, and was in darkness. When anyone looked in, their eyes adjusted to the sight, causing the world of the hall they were in to become a vague glow, and when they looked back to something in their vicinity, the hall faded back into blackness. They could tell there were a light sources down there, though probably behind closed doors because they were very weak. August- "Right, let's push forward y'all. We're gonna make it out by hook or crook. Choose a buddy and keep em close. BRENT!! B-DAWGG!" There had to be something more in the darkness. He looked for anything that looked like a Brent or another door. He moved towards the dim beams of light. August felt a little distracted, his throat felt a little raw and he was hungry. As long as he didn't go hangry, all would be okay. He kept an eye on the group, he didn't want to lose another crew member.
As he entered the hall completely, his eyes instantly focused and he was able to make out everything in moderate detail as in the rooms. The light sources previously noticed bloomed in his newly adjusted vision. One source was coming out from under a door on the side of the hall, another from around a bend down at the far end of it.
Specifically, he was looking into a longish hall with two doors on the left, three on the right, coming to a T-stop at the end. The floor was old tile, the baseboards cheap and busted, and a dark irregular line near the ceiling attested to a former presence of tacked-on crown molding.
Eli held on to the very corner of August's shirt sleeve, between two pinched fingers. Eli- "I'd feel a lot better if I had a, say, flamethrower..."
Ru- "Poor Brent. I hope he is alright." Ru considered going back through the rooms again, but there was no way he missed him. Why wasn't Brent changed? He had never loved the guy but he had to have family who did, friends, everything...
The first door on the left... only took a few moments to realize it was fake, like the one Courtney had examined. There was a door shape nailed to a solid wall.
The second door on the left was the one with a light source.(ORIGINALLY...)The door opened into...

((Everybody want to go in? Who's on first?))
Eli took an apprehensive first step into the hallway. Then another, and another. It was so dark. Where were some lights in this dump? "Man, it's crazy dark in here..."

Eli held tight to August's sleeve. Eli- "This place never ends! How is it possible..."
August- "What kinda film set it this? Lawdamimbo! Alright folks, I think we have a live one here. Don't pull too hard Eli, I think we only need one naked film member at a time. Heh." August moved on to the second on the left door, ready for whatever lurked beyond. Be it Brents or vampires.(ORIGINALLY...) August followed him close behind, holding his screwdriver of doom."I'll back ya up."

Ru plodded behind the others and looked around thoughtfully for anything they had yet to notice. He did have to admit Eli did indeed look like a member of Boytown 5...
He moved back behind Eli to take a look at what was beyond! Babette hesitated before entering the dark place. She felt like a rat in a maze. Well, maybe they'd find clothing in another room. She wanted socks and some pants. It was hard to feel dignified in a blood-spattered, airy little slip. "I'm coming." She followed Ru.Sophie brought up the rear of the group, still carrying her IV stand weapon and nervously watching if anyone was trailing them. She was ready for this day-or night?- to be over. Trevor took several moments to decide where he wanted to go. Finally he wandered off.
