I wonder how you would correct the anesthetic dose to account for high blood alcohol content. I'm sure there's a method, I mean they have to treat drunk people with serious injuries pretty frequently.

@brett= You'd choose drugs that interact minimally with alcohol and probably use smaller doses.

Dr. Jar- I can give a guestimate weight for Rob if ye'd like. Happy Valentine's day to my Madrona peeps! Love you guys. * Dr. Maneep Pamplemousse- Are you doing anything special with your missus? *I know it's a frowny face but to me it looks like a 5th grader trying to smile for a photo.

I got to do absolutely nothing with my missus today. She's still in India. The flowers I ordered for her didn't even get delivered. I'm medicating with... well, nothing. Boo. I could go for some candy and ice cream and candy and... and... candy. Or candy.
Baby cat is still sick. She was picking around her old cat food, so I went ahead and expedited the transition. I had high hopes when I saw a solid stool in the cat box yesterday, but then I found another accident. I added a cat box on the first floor, so hopefully that will cut down on the accidents, even if she doesn't get better right away. At least the frequency of her problems is far less than it was the previous week.

Dr. Maneep Pamplemousse- That's no good, hopefully you guys can do something nice when she gets back. I am glad your cats doing better, maybe it takes sometime for her system to adjust to the new diet. DKender- Aw! You need to watch Blood for Dracula, it's the only cure for twightitus!

Jara, in an emergency, say a zombie apocalypse, would you be confident in your ability to apply your knowledge of veterinary medicine to treating humans? Just curious. When I had appendicitis, I got the initial diagnosis from a veterinarian. One of the last things I remember before the narcotic cocktail kicked in and I woke up a day or two later.

@brett= Probably, though less so with drug stuff. Humans are dosed differently than our animal companions.
Surgery though, would be very useful.
