Trevor - "We choose to celebrate different things in life. For the elderly it is a part of culture in my country to see every small thing has a life. For instance I think it is very interesting that animals adapt to sacrifice themselves for the survival of their species. Checkered mantis males, for instance, become the nourishment for their mate. That is not so tedious I think."

Aubrey- "*siiiiiiiiiiigh*"
Ellen- "Well, I've only had the most cursory exposure to entomology since my hobbyist days ... so long ago. Even then, I was only a dabbler. But mantids are quite compelling, aren't they? Still, in my time, it was more about the lepidoptery - especially for girls."

Trevor - "I have always had a fondness for moths. They are a very gentle species and can tell us about our environment in many ways."

Auberon dropped his head to the table with a melodramatic flourish. Ellen- "Ignore that. So moths? Yes. To me they are so familiar as to become rather dull, but there are still some exotics and surprises to be found in those insects. Did you know there are vampiric moths?"
Aubrey- (still down on the table) "You belittle me!"
Ellen- "...and they're very scary and beautiful, why not?"

Trevor - "Yes, I do know about those. Common moths still, ah, how do you say... make my heart beat? Some of my fond memories are handling them as a child. Their eyes and proboscis are very nice."

Auberon stayed down. Ellen- "That's charming. I'd say the fur is the most appealing thing, really setting them apart from butterflies... Hey, if you could turn into an insect and back, what insect would you like to be?"

Trevor - "I never thought of it. Perhaps a cicada? They have a long lifespan and remind me of summer."
((I don't know how much longer Aubrey can last. Shall I move over to Angela and G-L and spare him?))

Ellen- "Eugh, haha. Cicadas are... not very attractive."
Aubrey- (still down on the table) "*groooooooan*"
Ellen- "Well, it's been fun. Think you're ready to move on?"

Trevor laughed a little at Ellen's comment on cicada attractiveness. He thought cicadas were quite nice aesthetically, but understood what she meant.
Trevor - "Alright. It's been a pleasure talking to you."
With that he was gone.

The table was open! Eli- "Hi there, I'm-- oh-- is everything okay?!" (ORIGINALLY...) Eli rolled up and asked if Aubrey is okay or if he needs a drink of water or something.

The man burst up from the table, seeming dazed. His companion wasn't concerned. Aubrey- "What... O, indeed!" Ellen- "He's fine, I'm Ellen and this is 'Auberon' Greyburn."
Eli- "I'm Eli and-- and-- you sure you don't need a glass of water or something?"
Aubrey- "Gracious youth, I accept the spirit of your kindness, if not its fruits, for I do not thirst. Have a seat, if you will..."
Eli- "Well...! A lot of my fellows were pretty excited to meet you, Lord Greyburn." Aubrey- "And I have found some of y our number to be bearable company, if only to gaze upon. Who are you, lad? Why does god animate you yet?"

Eli- "Aha, yes, I uh, I didn't quite expect to be whisked away to a party. And now here I am, talking to one of the biggest figures in Glennish fashion. Hoo... My roommate would be ashamed."
Ellen- "So, what do you do for fun?"
Eli- "Oh uh, besides the art thing-- I guess, computer stuff. You know, nothing very... uh... How about you?"
Ellen- "Well, I'm sure Aubrey doesn't want to hear about my interests, but maybe... Dad? Dad?"
Aubrey- "What?" Ellen- "You were asked a question. What do you like to do for fun?" Aubrey- "Isn't it obvious? We are patrons of arts, the creators of art, what else is there?"
{originally}
Aubrey- "Concept... Isn't all art about a concept? I do not understand."
"It's a bit of a vague position, I suppose. When August first asked me to help, I wasn't really sure what it entailed."
"I think the best way to describe it is being a visual outline, almost. In this case, August was both the writer and director, so he told me what he wanted to see. For instance, at one point, August came up to me and said "I've got a scene where Violet and Rose are being attacked by spiders. It needs to show terror and the desperation of the girls." I had to translate that into an illustration. I needed to create all the scenes, making sure they're generating the intended effects for the audience... Then, the crew uses that as a blueprint to actually film the scenes. I guess you could say I shaped the world of Lychgate."
"It was fun work. Really intense. I was working around the clock, making sure everything was perfect. Not so often an opportunity like that comes up."

Eli- "Hah, uh, true that! Artists, we are." Ellen- "What's your art like?" Aubrey- "Perhaps it can redeem you. The drabbest sparrow may sing the brightest song. Though it often does not."

Eli- "The tradesman comparison might be accurate. I usually work on commission. I mean, I do have my own ideas but people don't really..." Aubrey- "It matters not what the mendicants think of the refined. Produce this work that I may appreciate it. Or not." Ellen- "Uhh, yeah, if you have something on you?"
{originally} Ellen- "Well, I'm sure Aubrey doesn't want to hear about my interests, but maybe... Dad? Dad?"
Aubrey- "What?"
Ellen- "You were asked a question. What do you like to do for fun?"
Aubrey- "Isn't it obvious? We are patrons of arts, the creators of art, what else is there?"
Ellen- "Eli creates art. I mean, if you saw it rather than just hearing about it, I'm sure you'd love it."
Aubrey- "I suppose..."
"Erm....would you like to see some of my art? I don't have my portfolio with me, but..." Eli produced his general-purpose sketchbook from his bag. Thankfully, this one was rather stunning, particularly due to the fact that it had detailed sketches of his latest works. Still, he wished he could magically make his behemoths appear, considering how breathtaking they were. He'd slipped some photos in between the pages, anticipating clients rifling through his works...but they seemed to be so much more amazing, in Eli's eyes, when viewed in person. But, it was better than nothing.
