"Indeed it was...fortuitous, even. Anyway, to be honest, I don't have any other questions, so I should probably allow someone else a little bit of your time, seeing as I took so much with Mrs. Inka. Again, it was lovely to meet you both." Of course there were still things that Quinn was curious about. How could he not be? Still, it was best not to let his inquisitive notions get the better of him lest he offend someone. He was sure he'd learn more as the evening panned out, anyway.

Marchese- "Quite. Have a lovely evening...
Marchese- "...Well, he was pleasant enough. Unremarkable, but pleasant."
Santi- "Unremarkable is good. Wilhelm plucked the most precious fairy from the pines, and she..." This table came open.

Marchese- "Welcome, welcome..." Santi- "Leo. Likewise pleased." Marchese- "Very nice indeeed. How have you found those on the other side of the table?"

Leo glanced briefly at Eli as he sat, but was otherwise fine with the closeness. She was more concerned about trying to figure out how they could subtly get some information out of the pair. And, possibly, get Santi's phone number. "They've all been totally bombaroo so far, especially Francesca and Angela."
Eli- "Hahaha, way to bite August's styles, my friend."
She regarded Santi with a more confident half-smile, "It's nice to see that someone didn't have to ask my name tonight." Of course, Chloe and Wilhelm remembered her name, but Santi didn't know that. Eli- "Yeah, it's been great so far."

Marchese- "Angela is very dear to me, I'm glad that you got on well. These others are not as close to me, but I hold them all in my esteem." Santi- "Well, I'm glad to make someone's evening more personable... 'Bombaroo', this is Antearctan slang, yes? Is it catching on with Glennish youths now?"

She playfully jabs Eli in the ribs with her elbow. No one laughs at Trileon Muningham! "I guess some of August's way of speaking has rubbed off on me a little bit. S'fun to say, though."
"So, um, Marchese. I couldn't help but notice that your library seems to lack some.. newer titles. Why is that?"
Eli- "I'm kind curious how you all know each other."

Marchese- "I must confess I do more writing than reading, so my actual library is quite small. The upstairs library is mostly filled with books purchased by the yard, for decoration alone. Perhaps I should have let people know not to expect much before sending them up there?"
Santi- "August was fun to speak with, it's true."
Marchese- "Mm... My history with these fellows? I suppose it's a matter of ... niche. We met through shared pursuits. Auberon and I are both quite interested in the Holy Ages and the pursuit of the divine, Angela and I have similar passions in the arts and life, and Tomasz is just... the lord of all he surveys, how could I refuse his company when offered? A prince among men... and Inka is a friend of these friends, but quite dear. The rest are all from the orbits of those four... and myself."
Eli- "Everyone seems to be getting along just fine..."
Eli- "Though I wonder what's going on with some of our less... tactful friends."

Marchese- "I suppose that they would lose." Santi- "I really wouldn't worry about that - you two seem quite charming." Marchese- "But if you find yourself worried just the same, it's a good motivation to keep trying your best. Buona fortuna."

'They would lose.' About as straightforward as you could get, she supposed. Leo- "Well, for hypotheticals sake, let's say that me or Eli don't get any flowers. Do we just.. Go? Or would there be a second round where we could try again? I'm not sure how this entire thing works, really. I'm just going to tables and hoping I don't say something stupid." In truth, she wasn't worried about not getting any flowers. Who could resist her Leo-Charm? Eli- "Huh, yeah. I was noticing the number of tables and the number of people... I'm not quite up on all the rules."

Marchese- "We can't say much without revealing the game, but I will let you know that those numbers are not necessarily accurate..."

Leo- "Understood Bossman. You don't mind if I smoke real quick, do you?" She reached into her back pocket to fish out the other half of her previously-smoked cigarette, but instead managed to cut open the tip of her finger on her knifes blade, also in the same pocket. The slight pain was enough to get a 'Tsss-ow' out of her, but it wasn't that deep of a cut. A small drop of blood landed on her right leg. Leo- "Oh, shit. I, uh, apologize for that.. Probably shouldn't have put my knife and my cigarette in the same pocket.." Using one of the napkins on the table to cover her finger, Leo rises and looks around the room."Got a bathroom anywhere?"
Eli- "Geez, Leo! Are you okay? That's why you don't--"
Eli- "*sigh* Well, are you sure you couldn't just like, tell us the rules maybe?"
{originally} Eli tried to put on his best puppy dog look "Aw, not even a little hint? Just for us?" Eli looked concerned when Leo cut herself. Hope that girl is alright...

Santi- "Ooh, sorry. Yes, a servant can guide you." Marchese- "Mm, Eli, I'm afraid not."
They seemed a bit embarrassed for Leo.

Someone had to be, because it certainly didn't look as though she felt embarrassed at all. Shit happens, right? She caught Eli's look of concern and gave a smile in return. Leo- "Hey, no worries. Could have cut my entire finger off, amirite? I'll be back in a bit." She nodded at Marchese and Santi, "Gentlemen."
This at least gave her an opportunity to look around the mansion some more, if only for a few short minutes. As she walked away to follow a servant, she could be seen pulling out the other half of her cigarette, only to realize she had used her last match moments ago. Totally not bombaroo. Leo- "Hey, you work here? Got a light?"

Servant- "Indeed. Do you require a cigarette as well?" Trileon was Hangin' Loose!
