Julie - How u b so young? You'll get judicial hounds on us! :-) "young and stupid as I am" :-( Never!
Erin! Very glad to see you! You may be at least half responsible for Vitus getting with Scylla in that one bonus (had a comment that he needed "curvy lady love" a long time ago). I'd like to take that one farther than society can handle and include some curvy man love in comics some day, but I'm creezy like that.
Demesne - I wish I could go to grad school, not that my BFA has helped my career much. Welcome Romania! I've never met a Romanian I didn't like. I hope your colored pencils can manifest some virility! Excelsior!
Disco - Thanks for all the compliments! Especially on behalf of Kelly, as its mostly his work. Also thanks for the weird comments! Did you vomit up the dinosaur that you were? I had some bad dinosaur recently that got me the gastroenteritis. All better now.
Peace, y'all!

Christopher: Heh, you're welcome. I'm glad you've recovered from your dinosaur, haha.
And, about the dinosaur bit (if you really wanna know...if you don't, you probably shouldn't read on because its gross) I was able to make the dinosaur noises due to a buildup of phlegm that I didn't feel. All I knew was that I was a little out of it, and that I could rawr with the best of the dinos, and so I did. For about twenty minutes, that is. Then I began to cough, and lo and behold, (I would seriously reccomend that you pick this up nearer to the end and skip this part...) the grossest thing in the world shoots up from my throat and into my mouth: a gigantic ball of gooey mushiness. Think of an egg with a slightly (but not quite) solid center, and you'll get a good feel for what I was feeling in my mouth. Anyhow, before I could stop myself, I swallow it. This pushes my gag reflex to its limit and...well, I have to pull over. Bye-bye phlegm. Bye-bye dinosaur.
The reason for the phlegm is a cold that I get every year in August.

I thought by being a dinosaur you had meant being on a forum is old school, but then I read on. Maybe my imagination for gory scenes of biological ejecta is broken today, but I'm not terribly offended.
BTW, sick in August... Are you from down under? The only time I got notably sick in the summer was swine flu time.

Christopher: I have a really bad gag reflex. If I even think about what's in my stomach and how it'll look coming back up, you can guarantee that it will be back to say hello in short order. And august just sucks. That's why I get siick in august. XP.

Hello,
My name is Rosie-well it's not my full name but it's a name I am most commonly known by! I am an artist, and it took me 4 years of undergrad school to give me the confidence to state that i am indeed an artist. I graduated recently an i have my BA in fine arts! Born and raised in California, the only other place I've been to outside state lines is Seattle! I really love the Kingfisher comic because not only is the art work great! but the plot line is fantastic as well! and i had never found an online comic with such great creators who actually write back to fans, it warms my heart <3
I've been flirting with the idea of going on this forum for a while but only until recently did i actually have the courage to sign up and stuff. I felt i should show my support cause i'm always commenting on the home page anyway!
it's nice to meet a lot of you who's comment i've also read on the Kingfisher website!

Yay Rosie! So cool to see you here. It's funny, because I've pretty much only been to California and Seattle in my life too. (Briefly lived in Alaska as a child) An artist too, alright! We'll have to see your work someday. What's your poison?

I am, as you might have gathered, the brother of Christopher. I have joined the forum to take part in some SUBPAR fun.
I am, sadly, pretty whitebread in most ways. I gave up on the horror genre around the time Saw came out and Hostel put the nail in that coffin. Obviously, I'm using mainstream hatchet work to judge the entire genre, which I should know better than, since I'm a film major. Still, I just can't get excited about jumping back in the pool.
Um, yeah, I could go into much more detail, but I don't think anyone really cares. I will lurk about the board and be primarily active in the SUBPAR roleplaying section.

Brett, you bloody beast! Wilkommen.
As for the horror thing, were you really put off zombie movies and evil dead and other, more action-oriented (survival horror) stuff by a couple of stupid torture pornos?
The type of game play we'd shoot for is obviously more about things you've been into. I don't see why you'd have a problem jumping in this pool.

As for the horror thing, were you really put off zombie movies and evil dead and other, more action-oriented (survival horror) stuff by a couple of stupid torture pornos? I can still dig me some Evil Dead and I am watching The Walking Dead (though I didn't really get into it until the first season was mostly over). I never really liked Ringu or The Grudge or any of those styled films. I'm guessing horror was never my genre, because I would hardly lump any of the Evil Deads or zombie movies in general into that category.

I see... I know what my problem was with Ringu and Ju-On / The Grudge when I first saw them. It's the inescapable undefeatable evil. I'm not into that, but I liked other elements of those enough to get past it.
Nonetheless, we did remove that element from our setting. Our version of those ghosts aren't so tediously overwhelming. They will freak some people's poop out, and the undead definitely have the upper hand at first, but my least favorite RP experiences were feeling defeated.
Remember Paranoia and why that game wasn't fun for us?

@kelly martin: I do paper cut art, day of the dead skulls are my specialty, but i also do oil paintings. my professors told me i was really good at oil painting but i get too stressed out trying to make things perfect and then i get super ocd as well! so i mostly focus on oil painting as a hobby and i actually try and sell my paper art!
as for horror, i really LOVE zombie horror! and i totally watched the first and most of but a few episodes short of The Walking Dead! my brother bought me the comics, but i really couldn't "get in to" the comic version. i am a total wuss when it comes to Japanese horror! i also don't like gore! i can do scary but i can't do bloody body parts! or bloody body parts and sex scenes! it just doesn't scare me but grosses me out! i have respect for the first saw movie, after all the others came out-lost respect! i also hate The Chainsaw Massacre, not a fan! and The Hills Have Eyes, i'm on the fence about
