Fun in a job is overrated. Make that money so you can stop working the gas station. I made bad choices and my life and the lives of those that depend on my are hella bad. Being poor is OK when you're 22, but it gets much worse later.
Not to sound too dire. I still have my fun. -

Yeah, I understand. I'd rather have a job that pays well than a fun job that doesn't. Most of my money goes to my family to help pay the bills. I'm lucky to have $20 in my pocket! So...yeah. I'll have a boring job soon, but at least I'll finally be able to support myself. (Hopefully!) Haha I gotta admit I'm pretty terrified to finally get out into the world and make a living....but you gotta do what you gotta do. I'll try to have fun along the way! I know some people are a lot worse off than I am, so I try not to complain. I know I'm lucky to have the life I have, and I am very grateful for it.

I think it's about striking a balance, rich people who work nine to five just to spend 20 minutes a week in an expensive apartment and car are pretty depressed people too. It's easier to do well at something you at least half enjoy, even if it's just the company of your fellow employees. Oh Renaissance history. I studied Italian renaissance history for my final year in high school. I loved it, made me feel a bit biased towards Florence though and Venetians are punks.

Haha I know what you mean! Italian renaissance is my favorite subject! I love doing research on the Borgia's. They were a pretty corrupt family. There was a lot of shit going on in Florence at the time too. Between all the conspirators and religious zealots and what-not those people had it kind of rough. They had a lot of extremely talented people too though. They seemed far beyond their years, intelligence wise. I can definitely see why you would be a bit biased about Florence, too. The Venetians though...I agree with you. They were a bunch punks! And pompous assholes, lol. Still some interesting history going on there though. (I know I type a lot...but I also don't know anyone that studied that kind of history so I got excited)

Renaissance history is the bomb, I got excited too. I liked the Medicis myself, Lorenzo wasn't a bad looker in his youth hahaha. Those guys were gangster. I never studied much of the Borgias to be honest. The Venetians just stole art from Egypt the boogers! So many cool things were invented in that period, like perspective! I might be biased here too but I think Machiavelli was just a bitter twat. ;D
EDIT: Nope he was a shocker, I remember there was a cool portrait of one of the Medicis anyhow.

Lmao! Machiavelli...I read The Prince and a couple others of his work...and yeah. Total twat! He was inspired to write that book because of Cesare Borgia and his so called prodigal political tactics. And yes! The Medici were fucking badasses! I can't believe all they had done, built, and accomplished! And their estate was FULL of art and other various things that I would seriously kill to have now. I was disappointed that the Florentine people raided their estate and destroyed so much.

*To your edit: I think it may have been his brother before he was assassinated maybe? Haha I don't know, but I remember a good looking portrait one one of them!

That was mostly Savonarola and his bonfire of vanities, wasn't it? Or was there more? My heart broke when I learnt that, those books and even Botticelli burnt some of his paintings. That guy got gotted real good though! Wasn't he drowned, burnt and hung at the same time or something similarly nasty?

Yeah, I think you're right about Savonarola. That was some pretty messed up shit. I'm not sure but I think Botticelli was burned alive at the stake, and if he was drowned and hanged at the same time...holy shit I would really like to read that! I haven't read too many details but now I have to find out! Makes me sad knowing about all the books and art they burned though! Kind of funny in a messed up way that they went out in the same fashion...
