Hey everyone, to inaugurate this board, I'll set up one of these ubiquitous introduction threads.
I am Kelly Martin, I am 28 and from Seattle and I love cats, Japanese horror, Morrissey, sexy dudes and shoes, among other things.

Hello! Newperson here! Uh, can call me Kilnarak or Killy or Kiln or really anything like that. 27, former art-student, currently trying to get off my butt and start sketching again.
I... only recently stumbled onto The Kingfisher, but I think I have fallen in love. Art style is awesome, and! Horror! Hurrah Also tutorials on the extras page, ooh.
I uh. Also <3 cats and Japanese horror! But also video/computer games, sci-fi/fantasy, all sorts of random music, androgyny, and monsters. Among other things!
I am also sort of cruddy with introductions. *cough*

Hey! name is David, from England, 20 and currently a student studying classics and comparative literature. Honestly can't remember how I found kingfisher but I love it. too many vampire stories involve bitching about being immortal and having to drink blood, so I'm really happy that most vampires in this are scary mad-men I'm a total geek; sci-fi, fantasy and supernatural. wouldn't say I'm a big horror fan though.

Kiln, David, wilkommen! I'd hoped more people would use this thread because we've always been curious about the fans, but good to see at least you two. Thanks for the nice words about the comic!
Kiln - We're art school types ourselves. Funny, I don't remember much of the Art School Confidential styled hijinks.
David - It's so fun to us that fans come from around the world. Ditto the stuff about traditional vampire stories. Although, without the background of those existing, we'd probably have to focus more on that subject in this story. As is, one could reasonably wonder when our guys find time to feed and how they do it, haha.

Ooh, by the way, anyone without a hot Kingfisher-styled avatar, there's a drop down menu on the "modify profile" screen with fifty of 'em!

Hi, guys! I'm so proud I figured out how to get on here (technologically-challenged). I'm 41, live in Colorado, and wish monsters were real.

Hey, there! I'm Guardian, 21, from California. I've been following Kingfisher since about October, I think, and I absolutely adore this comic. It's definitely a lot better than most of the webcomics I've seen, and I always look forward to updates. The art and the writing are so amazing. <3

Hi, I'm Indea, 25 from Australia. I have always loved proper (non-glittery) vampires as Anne Rice got me through the horror of highschool and stumbled onto Kingfisher through another site. I am a psychology student and a horror/sci-fi/fantasy nerd but my favourite book is 'A picture of Dorian Grey'. So you can see why I love your comic , excuse the shitty intro.

Hello. I'm Josh. I'm 30. Totally hate horror's shrill and nails-on-chalkboard style music but not too put off by the gore or psychological connotations. I am a really big weenie and while I appreciate the concept of a zombie apocalypse, I can barely get through playing Left for Dead 2 with my roommate at the crack of noon with the lights on. Love Kingfisher, especially the complexity of every saturated, dripping, and delicious morsel of characters, concept, and plot. ^,,^

Now I know why our man Suyoi uses the word "delicious' a lot. He's a yummy ouroboros! I hope your autocannibalism is never completely consummated, because I like you. :-)
Those shrill soundtracks have a storied history, of which I can remember very little. Psycho was the originator of it, and The Shining made some kind of contribution too. Damn my memory! Soon I will forget everything I learned in art school.
Welcome also Guardian and Indea, and thank you. And Mary, glad to see you on here! -

Hi, I'm Julie, I'm 17 (with the mind of a 65 year old woman) I'm from Ontario, Canada. I'm going into fashion design in the fall. (I love shoes too) To be honest, I started reading this comic when I was 15 and under the age limit, but oh well! I'm really refreshed to see not only a good, interesting take on vampires but some real psychological aspects in this series! This isn't some half-witted comic, the stories emotions; love, hate and lust among other things all seem very natural. Even though the setting of this universe is fantasy/horror you can truly see were characters are coming from in an emotional point of view. It's organic. I don't really comment on the comic (young and stupid as I am) but I thought in the 'introduce yourself' section I should say why i like this series so much and, well, tip my hat so to say. That and the sexy man lovin' pretty good too. <3

I am SO stoked to see that you have a forum. I'm Erin. 24, from Indiana. My comments were previously always posted with the name Erin, but that's not a very exciting forum name. I like webcomics, video games, naps, cats, and making tasty food. I guess I like other stuff, but I just woke up.

Oh, joy! A forum!
First, let me express my gratitude that The Kingfisher exists: I've been hating on vampires ever since I visited my home country of Romania years ago and went to one of Vlad the Impaler's castles and it was full of wanna-be vampire tourists (tourists are all vampires, in a way, though) with filed-down teeth and melodramatic tattoos and they were all like 'hur dur....where's Dracula? I pledge my soul to youuuuu!' in all seriousness. And now there's that abomination, Twilight, and all its half-witted permutations. You, sirs, have redeemed vampires in my eyes.
Anyway, I'm Alex, 23, and have been following The Kingfisher since around Chapter 2. Your webcomic's fantastic style and sense of humor (...and sexy scenes, of course) are helping me to survive grad school.
I'm one of those rare people who had this conversation with their parents: "Mom....dad....I have something to tell you. I...don't want to go to art school. It's just not practical." *parents die of disappointment*.
However, I would still love to make some Kingfisher fanart once I find a pencil-sharpener that doesn't castrate my colored pencils.

Hey! Whats up, all?
I suppose you can just call me Disco....I don't really know what to say...! I'm not that great at introductions!
I like the news banner that only displays compliments. I love the comic. I enjoy the art. I'm enthused that I'm going to be on a forum again. Being a dinosaur rocks. (I'm getting laryngitis. Its a fun time for me.)
Road rage is a negative thing. Vomiting is annoying. (No more dinosaur. Its a sad thing.) The paint chipping off of my ring makes me even sadder.
...I guess I'll leave it at that. It's kind of weird, having lists like that, but its all I can think of to do.
Nice to meet you all!
