Marielle- "eeeEEEEEEEeeee!" Ashley had cleft deeply through her back, severing the spinal column partway through the thoracic area. She flew off of Beau, spasming and flopping, and her legs dragged her loose upper parts down onto the lawn. Ben- "*something hard to hear through his helmet*" The vampire that had been angling for Ben saw an opportunity to go for Ashley's back and took it. Vampire- "*tssssssst!*"
Beau- "Watch out!"

Ashley doesn't really know what he's supposed to look out for, and is afraid of swinging the sword in a random direction for fear of hitting one of his living friends. Instead he turns and holds his weapon out to protect himself and stab outwards at the vampire's face or chest. Ashley- "Nobody pulls that on me." Unfortunately he has to leave floppyvampire to Beau to defend himself properly.

Ben- "Nooo!" Seeing 'his' vampire go for another target, Ben decided that it would be reasonably safe to go for a backstab... er... backburn. Yes! Set fire to the vampire man's hair! That'll work!Ben also had an idea for the other vampires, though apparently no one had heard it. Wonder why?"Throw the vampires into the burning house!" Because it was well past time to care about whether that would 'invite' them or not.

Ashley was too slow and the thing grabbed him, and started hauling him into the sky! Ben waved his torch at its pants on the way by, but it didn't take. Vampire- "HaHAHAHA!" Marielle was out on the lawn trying to regenerate from a grievous wound, so Beau was free to give this a try.
Beau- "..." He tried to leap and grab the vampire's leg, to no avail!

Seth- "Jeebus! Hold on Ashley!" Seth jumped up on the railing and attempted to spear the vampire floating away with our good man.

Seth fell off the railing of the deck into the bushes below. Darrell and The Other One were about to pursue him, which meant they had their backs to Ben and Beau. As for Ashley... There was just about nothing they could do!
((If Ben feels like throwing a torch or something, go ahead, but he seems generally too prudent for that sort of move. Ashley is now high enough off the ground that a fall would either not have a scratch, or break his neck and kill him - depending on luck. Nonetheless, if he doesn't manage to escape, he'll quickly get to where a fall would definitely kill him... But he does seem like the type to attack the thing anyway. He still has his sword. What does he do?))

Ben didn't like it, but he couldn't fly, and unlike dark ghosts, vampires did not burst into flames from thrown torches. Hopefully Ashley would find a way to make the vampire go to ground at a survivable speed. Ben- "Damn." Instead Ben turned to look at Darrell and The Other One, and the latter sure seemed to have long hair that ought to be easy to set on fire. But he had to be quick! And stealthy? At the same time? Well, he could try!

Ashley does as Ashley is wont to do, which is to try to anchor himself by whatever limb of the vampire is holding him with a hold of his own, and giving it a good swinging chop.
It was clumsy but he wasn't worried about falling. What else could he ask for besides a death by vampire? Hopefully while killing said vampire Ashley- "You goddamn coward, trying to be a fucking rat with wings!" He flailed and tried to get a better hold of the vampire. For trying to grapple with said vampire.

Ashley cut the elbow area deep enough that it popped the rest of the way off under his weight! He plummeted into deep grass, blacking out. What happened? All anyone saw was him falling and disappearing. The vampire flew out of sight over a fence, cursing. Vampire- "Fuckity FUCK fuck!"
Beau grasped at Darrell, while Ben easily set The Other One's hair on fire. Beau- "..."
Darrell- "ARGG! BYUTCH!"
The Other One- "AIEEEEEEEE!" The lady vampire flew away, following disarmed boy over the fence, trailing sparks. Beau flipped Darrell onto the deck with his arms in a joint lock.
Out on the lawn, Marielle floated back to her feet. Marielle- "YOU ASSHOLES!"

Ben kept an eye on Marielle. Was her outrage a sign of defeat, or one of imminent retaliation? Unless she was approaching, Ben figured he might as well try to take advantage of Darrell's predicament and... After a moment of consideration, it really looked like spraying Darrell's face with WD-40 would be the best idea. He could always set fire to it later, but shoving a torch into his face would probably just result in a lot of head gymnastics, preventing the fire from actually catching to any one part.

Stevie- "Put away tha gun, please! See about Ashley." Patti & Stevie's crew quickly moved across the thick lawn. Joe went with Patti toward where Seth and Ashley had disappeared from sight. Seth was already getting up, but Ashley remained out of sight.
Kyle ran up onto the deck to see if Ben and Beau needed help. Ben was spraying Darrel with WD-40. It was a little messy, but a sufficient amount his the monster's face. Darrell- "YOU FUCKIN BITCHES S'POSED TO PUT BLOOD ON MY FACE!"
Kyle- "Yikes."
Chou- "GRRR *chewchew* GRRR"
Beau- "Into the fire with him." They torched the homie and tossed him in the house! They could see him wriggling and spasming, and some unknown force pushing him back out. Apparently, throwing them in from outside doesn't count as invitation - perhaps because the humans are not considered "in" themselves. Who can say?
But he was rolling across the ceiling back towards them!Nasty Ball of Fire Darrell- "GRAGGHL BARGLE HNGGG" Out on the lawn, Becky edged her way in front of Stevie to face Marielle. Becky- "She's more likely to go for-" Marielle now beheld the totally unarmed Becky in front and took the bait. Marielle- "BLOOD ALREADY! GOD!"
Stevie- "This doesn't seem like such a great idea."
Marielle got a good jump on Becky, proving Stevie right. As the vampire began to fly away with her, Stevie grabbed its leg and they went down in the grass.

Joe- "No time to rest, boss."
Seth- "No shit?" A little further away, Patti found Ashley, still and crumpled. His hand gripped the cavalry sabre he'd mysteriously developed a while ago. If he was alive, he was lucky he hadn't fallen on it on the way down...

Ben looked up at the flaming Darrell, and wished he had a long metal stick of some kind, so that he could nail the vampire to the ceiling for a good roast. But he had no such thing, and wouldn't be able to prevent the house from spitting Darrell out and away, like a fireball streaking across the sky. What a great signal to other vampires that would be! As if a house fire wasn't already a sign that there was be blood to be had. Because where there's fire, there are humans, either being smoked out or killing vampires. Ben- "Can't we keep him in there somehow? Anyone got a... spear... or something?" Well, Seth did have a spear, didn't he? But he wasn't close enough at the moment, was he? And maybe it'd be a waste of a good spear to stick it into a ceiling and then leave it while they made their escape?

Ashley-
It was hard to tell if he was unconscious or dead, as he was still grimacing grotesquely. He did strike a good resemblance to a crumpled piece of paper, strewn ungracefully across the ground though.
By some stroke of luck, he managed not to stab himself with the sword or fall on his head. It still wasn't the greatest, most cat-like landing imaginable, as seen by said aftermath.
