Ben- "How far is it then? They could have binoculars." Ben noticed that Ashley felt strongly about... something. But what exactly, he didn't know. And he wasn't really sure he wanted to know. So all he did was raise an eyebrow.

"Down all the way... Well, about a half mile, maybe a little farther. I guess we should try harder to hide, but what do you think, Hanson?" He keeps his voice down. What if those clowns did have something heavier than just a few handguns. He gritted his teeth until they made a crackling poppy sound. bastards. BASTARDS. "What do you propose?" He moved them in such a way that it would be difficult to see from the top of a building like this. And certainly from their glass windows.

Patti followed, mostly silent. She was nervous, but doing a good job of not showing it. She didn't have much to add to the tactical discussion. Maybe if they were trying to hide from geese, she could be of more use.

Tyrone- "Jus' stick close to th' buldin's. They can't see through walls, y'all. An' again, how they even gon' t' know what we're doin'? Hell, place is probably emptied out alreada."

((According to the Google map I'm looking at, it's only about 350 meters from Denny Way to the "Seattle Police Dept", and if they're outside of Pan-Pac right now, there are no good buildings to hide behind while not making the Pan-Pac Police suspect that Officer Cassius is headed for his old police station. The Pan-Pac is simply that much higher than any of the buildings in between, and while they can't see through walls, they'd still be able to see people crossing streets, or in which direction they leave a street. The first really tall building to disappear behind is right next to the police department.)) Ben- "Eh... It's probably too late now. If they've spotted us they'll keep an eye out for us. But perhaps we could go the long way around when we return? Hope that they don't have a spotter on the roof who directs a foot patrol to intercept us whichever way we go."

((Might be expecting a bit much from these jokers, but I suppose Ben doesn't know that.)) Tyrone- "'Kay. Stewart t' Boren t' Fairview t' Republican, hidin' behind cars when we come within line of sight for 'em, if ya mus'. Think I'll sit out th' nex'' run after this one if we do."

"Hanson, these guys are dicks, but they're also lazy sons of bitches. Do you really think they'll be that organized? They are less apt than dogs in their normal jobs. No use being paranoid." He snorts, but seems to respect Hanson's opinion on all of this.

Ben- "Oh, okay. I'd just hate to have some kind of confrontation on our way back, where we'd have to choose between handing them half our stuff or risk getting shot. It doesn't take that much effort to set up an ambush if we walk right under their noses." And if they were as territorial as they seemed to be, wouldn't this trip practically dare them to do something? Ben sure thought so, but he was willing to defer to Ashley in judging their character. And hopefully Ashley wasn't out here looking for a confrontation, even though he clearly seemed to have a few bones to pick with those guys.

Ashley would try to lead them close, but not too close, around the sides of the building, making a few diversions here and there as he continued on towards the station. It was more or less a straight path, until they reached the front of the Station. There he paused and stared. The number of zombies seemed to suggest that this place had not been visited often, and Ashley frowned. "...I am beginning to suspect there is something bad in there. I will leave it to your judgement, Hanson, Greene.. I think this is important, but perhaps you should stay behind for your health and safety..." He seemed particularly concerned about the increasingly sleepless and alcoholic Patti.

Tyrone- "Man, Patti's our ace. Say there a zombie with a gun. I saw her take out a couple humans with guns, so zombies got t' be a snap." As he spoke, he made sure his gun would be easy to draw, and seemed to be weighing whether or not he should have it in hand as they went in. On one hand, more than most places, gun zombies seemed possible. On the other hand, the noise would definitely draw in more zombies if he felt the need to blast because his club wasn't ready...

"Alright. I think the next building south is the office building where KPMG is located. I've been in there before. It wouldn't be a good place to hole up, but that would make it a good place to cache some weapons and ammo. Maybe above the ceiling tiles in one of the rooms on the first or second floor. Obviously we don't want to climb too far carrying a bunch of stuff." "On the plus side, it's on the far side from Pan Pac, so there's no way in hell they'll see us unless they have a foot patrol following us, though I doubt any of those goons is savvy enough to follow us without anyone noticing." She unsnapped the retention on her holster and loosened the fit so she could draw it quickly if needed. She pulled a flare to carry in her left hand (but didn't light it just yet) and drew her hammer to carry in her off hand. At Tryone's mention of the incident at her apartment she replied "Can we not talk about that ever again?" Tyrone- "Sorra. As you like it."

Ben- "Since we're already here we're obviously going to check it out before we decide if it's too dangerous or not. I usually count on most guns being out of ammo, either from being fired at zombies, or being fired by zombies. But I guess that's not a safe bet inside a building, if a police zombie has been trapped in there without living humans to shoot at." And then there was the risk of one of the shooters being zombiefied on the spot by a sneaky ghost. But Ben didn't see much point in bringing that up, because going in without guns ready to fire seemed much worse.
And what did Tyrone just say? Had Patti shot humans? When was that? Ben threw her a sideways glance.

"Does anyone else want a flare?" Tyrone- "Oh yeah, don' know why I didn' think of that. I'll take one."
