This thread is great. Fun fact: a couple days ago, the lyrics He wasn't listening to her lying tongue ... kept looping through my brain.
Sadly, Indea's posts have contributed to my descent into madness. Thx a lot. Why does that turtle have a man's head?
If you guys listen to just one eight-minute sea shanty today, let it be this eight-minute sea shanty:

Cool shanty, I do like the decemberists. He's got a distinctive voice, he kinda sings one the side of his mouth though. Have you heard the rake song? Guy sure likes his murder ballads. Sorry for taking a hand in your decent to madness.

I'm glad you guys are having fun with this, but I'm sad to announce Brett has won the "First person to post Phil Collins Dies" award. He will be missed.

@ Indea - This is the only Decemberist song I know, unfortunately. And I forgive you for the madness thing. It's pretty much inevitable, at this rate. Might as well enjoy the ride.
What is a Phil Collins?

Thinking about voices, Micah's in particular, I got to thinking about Men at Work (of course Colin Hay was Scottish, so that didn't work), which got me thinking about how popular the sax was in rock and roll back then (MaW, Huey Lewis and the News, ZZ Top, E Street Band...). That got me thinking about a more contemporary band that I enjoy that incorporates some sax action quite nicely.

I meant to post this ages ago. I really love this re-doing of the song. It may be akin to saying you prefer The Monkeys to The Beatles but meh.
Actually their show was pretty funny...

Going on a theme here. I really love the first band at the moment, they are the bomb but I quite like the rap guys too. Well at least this one song of theirs.

Sorry, I use this thread far too often but meh...
I really love this song, couldn't find a good clip though. It was the first rap song I warmed to as it actually used a poem as it's base.
EDIT: Change video cause that one ain't the full noodle.

Cool French band in the vibe of Echo and the Bunnymen, New Order and the like.
