I nodded in approval. Was it potential obstruction, sure, but it wasn't a confession, and I could work with that.

Butcher gestured to the remains of the sofa. Detective Butcher- "Here he possibly knocked the elderly woman unconscious, or simply dragged her to the stairwell as she struggled." He gestured down the hall. Timothy- "No."

The lawyer must be loving this, hopefully it wouldn’t last. Edmund- ”It’s okay. Just answer a couple of questions. Who are you? What’s the last thing you remember?”
Timothy- "I don't know who any of you are, I don't know why I'm here."
He was petulantly lying like a bratty child.

The freak was working that freak angle well. He had me itching to put an end to the show with one loud clap.
I stayed closer to the bum than anybody except the shrink, watching him like a one-eyed hawk.
Colt- (to Butcher) "Don't listen to him, just focus on what we know. You're doing good."

He was only up for playing games. How unfortunate.
She followed behind him and listened to the narration, and stared at Timothy Mills.
Could he really be telling the truth? She couldn't see Butcher ever doing any of this, but maybe it was a possibility. Or Mr. Mills was simply here to play mind games with all of them.
A tick of doubt stuck in the edge of her mind.

This was going to get old quickly, still an interesting response though.Edmund- ”Perhaps we should take him to Grandma’s door?”

At this point, I was as interested to see what Mills was going to do or say at everyone else.

Mills froze up, and turned to stare at the doctor.
Timothy- "No-- No not now. I'm not going there... I don't want to see her..." His voice was pathetic and he began shaking, his wrist cuffs clattering together.
Detective Butcher- "Alright, c-can someone get that guy under control?"

This was part of recovery wasn’t it? Should I feel bad for scaring a murderer? As long as it didn’t end with him killing me...Edmund- ”It’s okay, Tim. No one will force you to see grandma but you need to be honest about what happened here.” I put my hand tentatively on his shoulder to comfort him.

Mills wavered in place as though getting his bearings. Under his breath, such that no one but the doctor could hear, he whispered--"What would any of us do without you?"

Timothy- "Who will play me in your movie?" He said the last a bit louder. Detective Butcher- "Alright, um, enough monkeying around. Let's take him upstairs."
Timothy- "Maybe I'll take you somewhere. But you're not even here, are you?"
Detective Butcher- "Jesus..."
