Kristi is prescribed skeletons ((I thought maybe to speed us along, you haven't directly worked with the suspect but were aware of his existence in solitary and maybe guarded the hall where his room was without hearing him.))
You arrive at your shift. Today you'll be escorting a rather famous suspect to tour his former crime scenes. It was short notice on this one but the warden directly approved you as the best candidate. (Probably in part due to the other guards not wanting the pressure.) But that wasn't to discount your cool demeanor and excellent track record in your career.
The facility was one of the better regarded ones in the region. Its focus was on inmates with severe mental health issues so your work had more positive impact than one of the more punitive centers. The suspect was in solitary confinement, and you'd never directly worked with him due to your schedule, but today you were on the day shift. You'd be moving him at noon to the Livernois PD holding.
You weren't expected to do your regular duties today; you were somewhat free until it was time to go. You could choose which guard you'd like to accompany you, to either drive or sit in the passenger seat. Maybe you could even get a chance to talk to the suspect before you went out. It'd be nice if you had a decent rapport if you were spending the day together.

Eight o'clock. Sergeant Davidson is handling my responsibilities today. Normally by now I'd have checked in with the men on my block.
I selected Officer Fran Milton, a broad shouldered Caucasian woman, as my driver. She's young, but she's professional. I know she works first shift. I also know the difference in schedule won't be a problem for Fran.
My job is to ensure the pretrial detainee and his records are prepared for transport. I've already reviewed institution procedures. If I have time between radioing Control Center, preparing the transport vehicle, and filling out the prisoner's transfer receipt I'll visit the Administrative Detention Unit early to meet the man, have a chat.
Keeping emotional distance is good, but build a rapport if you can. I mean, initially greeting someone with a strip search ain't the choicest way of endearing yourself to them, but that's part of the deal before we leave. Funny ones always saying, "You could have bought me coffee first," or somethin' like that.

There was nervous energy in the office today. This was the largest profile inmate in a long while. The front desk had to turn away journalists several times this week, until they'd stationed some more intimidating guards in the entryway. You completed all your paperwork, and your presence seemed to calm some of the more anxious office workers. You'd be leaving just before lunch, maybe you could pick something up early or just get something downtown once you arrived.
Fran followed you around for a while, but seemed suddenly interested in getting a snack when it was time to meet with the inmate. Maybe she'd stay put with a little encouragement, if you wanted her presence.
The seclusion area had a few bottleneck hallways, secured doors that led to secured doors. Usually only one guard at a time would come down these halls to avoid unnecessary traffic. Adedayo Okadigbo was sitting outside the inmate's cell, one earbud in but sharp enough to clock your arrival before you'd even come through the doors. He was a very young Nigerian with a heavy accent. Okadigbo- "Not time to go already, is it? Just coming to visit?"
There was a half hour yet before you'd have to start the procedure.

Gerald - "Yeah. 'Thought it'd be good to have a minute."

Okadigbo- "Want me to stay by? He isn't fierce, so don't worry." The only sounds here were the buzz over the overhead lights. Usually solitary inmates were pretty quiet, unless they were new.

Gerald - "It should be fine. You take care." I picked out the key to Timothy's cell.

Okadigbo nodded and left in a bit of a hurry. These seclusion rooms were strange, a long hall just leading to one single door. There was a small window on the door, with a cover that you could retract to take a look inside before you entered. You heard no movement behind the door, but he surely heard you.

You thought you might have heard a rustle, but he didn't respond.

A young white man was sitting on one of the facilities ubiquitous sky-blue plastic chairs. They were specially designed because they couldn't be torn apart to make weapons. There were magazines and a television mounted up high, but he wasn't using either, just sitting in the middle of the room with his hands folded. He was looking right at you as you entered, but with a blank expression that didn't especially acknowledge your presence. Timothy Mills- "....." He was very thin and looked like a teenager. Not very intimidating.

Gerald - "Hey, man. My name's Gerald. I'll be your Transportation Officer for today." I looked for an appropriate place to sit.

You grabbed the chair Okadigbo had been sitting in, there was plenty of space in the nearly empty room. You never had to be in solitary yourself, what must it be like? Timothy's gaze twitched your way once or twice though he didn't say anything.
((Could you please roll intuition?))

Didn't seem too unusual. Maybe the kid was only depressed. Well, kid, he was almost 30 wasn't he?
