tab Eventually Ben showed up. After a look at the empty jobs list he got himself a healthy breakfast and sat down to eat. Nothing to do outside all day? Looked like a good day for some indoors activities then. Like kendo practise? Though that would probably be better outdoors, on the roof. Put on a show for the naked people. What were they going to think? That the 403 building was preparing for war? Hmm. Hopefully not.
tab Suddenly he began to feel that the roof might not be so good after all. But they didn't have any other empty area with a high ceiling, did they? Maybe the alley, though? If they put a lid on the kiai cries they shouldn't attract too many zombies. And it's not as if they'd be sparring without shinai anyway, and certainly not with only one armour. Might be better to build some kind of practise dummy for actually hitting stuff. Or just go outside, and 'practise' on zombies. Wouldn't that be the height of hubris...

People went about their daily duties, enjoying a relatively uneventful day compared to the nightmarish excitement of the day before. Chantelle set to work right away setting up the food for the party, and Ione and Lilla did their part to class the joint up, along with anyone else who wanted to help.
Luke was sitting around watching people work with a dazed expression, while some friendly cats slept on his lap and occasionally crawled around happily.
Davin- "Luke, where did those cats come from?"
Chantelle- "Oh I think Peg let some stray cats in, there's a lot of them coming around the alley lately."
Davin- "Next we'll have to do a run to pick up flea drops, ugh. They probably don't even have their immunizations..."
Chantelle- "What, should we just leave them out in the cold then?"
Davin- "...Had to go for that angle, didn't you? *sigh* Never mind."
Doesn't matter much to me, as long as it's skeletons.
