Eli felt like he was being blasted by the world's most powerful blow dryer, but he somehow righted himself. His last glimpse of the room as he got into the hall:
Rayray- "ALDEA BANISH THE EVIL!"
These guys- "ALDEA BANISH THE EVIL!"
These guys- "ALDEA BANISH THE EVIL!"
What now?

He heard the door slam open almost immediately, somebody hot on his heels. Somebodies, at least two. But willingness to burn a few calories helped - he was way ahead of them as he zipped through the shop. One good thing about vampire speed as a newb, it was still within the realm of human possibility, so less likely to get a monster hater drawing down instantly. Behind him he heard voices in the shop.A Lady- "It was a monster! Come on!" He was outside, no one in immediate line of sight, but probably very soon. How did he try to hide?

There was an alley in between the two buildings of the block, but he'd be in line of sight by the time they got out if he tried to reach it. It was a shorter trip to the roof. He heard them come out onto the sidewalk and pull up short to look around. Did he freeze in his shadows, or try to get the rest of the way onto the roof?

At night, darkness and light could vary a great deal over a short distance. He was in a dark patch and able to draw more to himself - a riskier proposition if he had kept moving. He saw them glance his way without registering his presence, and split up. One woman went one way, one woman and man went the other. At the corners, they became less decisive, glancing all around. Still, a moment of distraction - the rest of the way over?

He landed on the roof in a crouch, and saw this was a rooftop that had regular foot traffic. Empty bottles and cans, furniture... No one at the moment, though. There was even a pigeon coop full of sleeping doves.

Nope. He came in from the streetside, so crossing would lead him to the alley that cuts between the two buildings of the block. As for jumping to another building, that would take some kinda magic. The sidewalks were wide in this neighborhood, pushing the buildings pretty far apart. And since the building he was on was only a few stories high, he'd stick out like a sore thumb making that jump even if he pulled it off. Hm...

He descended into the alley. He could hear people in the buildings. There was a bit of commotion. He could hear footsteps at the streets. He heard a door in the alley opening.

No way he made it anywhere before the door opener was in the alley. Crawling back up the way he came while staring at the door, he saw the lady's head emerge and look quickly back his way. She saw him.
Babby Witcher- "Vampire! VAMPIRE!"
She started to bust some kinda witchy moves.

She tried to double time finishing the spell, biting back her anti-vampire rant so she could finish getting the incantations out in time.
Babby Witcher- "ANTEA SCAVANTA!"
She spit something out that twisted through the air like a snake and hit Eli in the chest, throwing him back. He bounced off the brick wall and landed in the alley face down. Something was wrong. The world seemed dark.

Ah, that was it. He couldn't see any heat light at all. The Babby Witcher switched to conventional attacks - a step side kick.
Babby Witcher- "Creepin' on the wrong people, leech!"
Did he try to defend or just run? The alley opened at both ends of the block. One way would be past her, the other had one less obstruction, but both would let more enemies in. Last he saw, there were witches looking around the block...

NO SUPER SPEED OR STRENGTH! He felt like he was moving through molasses. He managed to deflect the kick and get into a standing grapple with her, but nothing else.
Babby Witcher- "Ya won't drink me you fuck!"
Someone appeared at the end of the alley, then another...

The only reason she got the drop on him with that move was because of the shock of losing his powers. Now that he was past that, his natural physical fitness made all the difference. He threw her on the ground and ran.
Babby Witcher- "GET HIM!"
She yelled somewhere behind him. He booked down the alley the opposite direction of his car. At the end of the alley some fey hipsters appeared and were easily tackleball'd past.
Out on the street again, several witchers and bystanders between him and his car on this sidewalk. No playing it cool - he was in such a hurry he instantly drew attention as he came around that corner.

In addition to the humans he ducked or barreled past, he felt the auras of Aldean protective magic hedging him out into the street. He got past all of that, hopped in the car, and got to take the horror movie ignition test. Babby Witchers loomed in the distance, closing fast.

They were on him, touching his window and door as he jammed the car out into traffic. He could keep his momentum away-from-them-styled, if he was willing to drive in reverse for a block and a half.

People had to slam on their brakes to avoid him, until he was finally able to comfortably reverse his momentum and drive right. The road looked creepy and dark, all the lights of the night just looming distractions.
He was pretty sure no one had followed him and the road was freaking him out too much. Gotta pull off somewhere.
