Timothy wasn't havin' it, and pointed his gun at the sealed orifice. Timothy- "No!" He got off one booming shot, making the wall there bleed milk, but it did not open, and he ran out of shells. He tossed the gun.
Timothy- "Well, why the heck not? Let's go where they want." He turned back and glared for a moment at Jill with paranoidballs, but no one happened to see the expression. He joined the procession...
The hall was long and descended unevenly. It felt like a breeze was blowing through it, that changed directions and flowed the opposite way every three seconds. The sounds of building noises sounded asthmatic. The occasional dripping strands in the hall looked like rubber cement.

Erel- "Either we're already dead or this is some kinda trap..." He shuffled after the others. No, they must be alive because this hurt too much to be death, he decided.

Jill - "So, you're all surprised by this turn of events as I am? Let this be a lesson: Always read the fine print when signing up to join sinister organizations. Or maybe just don't join sinister organizations." Perhaps it was unfair to be taking frustrations out on this lot, but Jill was in a lot of pain and always had difficulty staying quiet, as her own family was well aware.

Timothy wrapped himself in his arms, but didn't appreciate the sass. Timothy- "Like you wouldn't do the same in desperation. I don't know how many times I've applied for hotel jobs and they never call me back. Nepotism can't favor everyon..." He trailed off as they came to a room. It was like a low, broad cavern in black and red from the ambient light. black vines hung from the ceiling at random and pooled on the floor. Random monitors in the darkness only showed blue-white static.
In the middle of the chamber, a kitchenette-sized island of dark walls framed an opening to another passage. Would they explore the chamber, look to see if there was anything on the far side of the island? Or would they go into the new passage?

Jill approaches a monitor and taps its screen with a fingernail. Jill - "Why are these even left on...?" she asks herself more than anyone else. "Do these suspicious paths just go down further into who-knows-where? Some of us still need medical attention, not to mention a bath... Um, no offense," she adds for Mason's benefit.

Mason wandered around the room for a bit to take it all it. In response to Jill's sass, he meerly grunted and scoffed. Because they were supposed to know about evil-mind-control-devilkids. He briefly turned to look at everyone else, a bit paler than before, "..None taken." ..And went back to looking at the vines, gently kicking one on the floor."Could these be, like... Wires or something? And wheres the exit..?"

Erel- "They could be..." He studied the vines critically, trying to figure out where on earth they were coming from, and where they were going to.

Jill found nothing of note in the monitor, tho the fact the room was suffused with red while the only visible light sources were blue-light, maybe a bit perplexing. Mason found the vines were definitely wires. As he was close enough to kick one, he saw that it was an accordion-textured rubber hose-like form with black rubber-sealed wired and fiberoptic cables coming out of the lower end, trailing who knows where. Erel could try to follow the wires to their ends, but there were so many - where to start? And Holly - his support - seemed more interested in moving on.
Meanwhile Timothy was already moving for the new passage. Timothy- "Dippity darn this dang--" He stopped before going in, hearing the sound of a person moaning from somewhere in the recesses of the big viney room.

Jill also heard the voice and attempted following it to the source. Jill - "Is somebody there?"

Erel- Erel decided to follow Holly to the new hole. It wasn't worth rooting around in this nonsense alone and being devoured. "Only way out is forward I guess."

Mason and Holly hesitated, and as Holly was still Erel's crutch, he was drawn up short. They could hear Timothy and Jill moving and talking after they went out of sight around the corner, as well as the groaner, whoever it was.
Meanwhile Timothy and Jill found an inscrutable machine that looked somewhat like an ATM was the source of the groans. The small monitor flickered between static and broken images, including a face not unlike the secretary they left in the lobby. Timothy- "Wasting our darn time--" The groans resolved into a voice.
ATM Voice- "Murderers."

Erel- "Murderers?" He asked it softly, almost as a refusal. He hadn't murdered anyone! Or at least he didn't think so, there was a lot of gunfire in that room, but he hadn't been trying...

Mason whipped around, pointed his gun at the ceiling.
"Who's there?!"
He was a bit on the edge.

Holly and Erel less able to move quick than Mason, even in his condition, and only got far enough they could see half of the scene - Tim's back but not Jill's. Mason was slightly ahead of them and able to see it all - the machine and the people closest to it.
ATM Voice- "Human resources software. Assessing humanity +/- a degree"
Timothy- "Who's fault is it if we--" The ATM-like device opened a tiny slot and shot out an IDE ribbon, hitting Tim in the throat. He fell to his knees and the small of his back darkened with some dark fluid from inside the shirt there.
ATM Voice- "Murderers."
