The Math class features not one, but TWO whiteboards! --With lots of dried up markers. This class is on the second floor, and has lots of nice big windows to allow maximum day dreaming.

FIRST PERIOD: Trigonometry Mrs. Stoller will brook no tardiness, so you better show up on time! She sits silently at her desk, waiting, waiting... Josh and Todd sit near the back, Robbie and Alex somewhere off to the side, with Leah and Kevin the Key Club Psycho mixed throughout with various other faceless students. They sit silently, intensely... waiting for the bell to ring.

Mona arrives with time to spare and settles in invisibly in the middle of the classroom, next to Leah's desk. She never talks in class unless directed to, but she gains a small amount of added confidence by sitting next to somebody who knows how smart she is (and who she also knows to be smart themselves).

The final bell rings, and of course, everyone is on time. WEREN'T THEY? Mrs. Stoller abruptly smiles, and stands. Mrs. Stoller- "Good morning everyone. Please pass forward yesterday's assignment."
There is some general sighing and grimacing, and dog eared and ruffled pieces of notebook paper begin moving their way up the aisles. Leah shrugs to Mona, as though to say 'What's the big deal?' Mona smells peanut butter-- behind her that frizzy haired kid Todd is chewing and crumpling foil surreptitiously.

Gabriel is late. Finally able to rush once the hallways cleared, he arrives at Mrs. Stoller's door flushed and a bit short of breath. He'd always liked having math on the second floor, since he's able to relax a bit in the morning and take his time getting up to the class. You know, on days he hadn't spent the previous evening catering to condescending clients and the morning running pointless errands for his father. For a second he thinks he left the running. His left eye might twitch a bit. He stands in the doorway, rubbing his neck sheepishly. "Uh... Mrs. S-stoller..." He calls out, trying to think of the right way to phrase his excuse. Glancing over at her, he blanches, and decides he better just cut to the quick. "I'm sorry. Erh, my father called the office. I'm ex.. I uh, think I'm excused."

Mrs. Stoller- "...Mm-hmm. Please sit Mr. Fyodorov, and turn in your assignment."
She wasted no time before returning to drawing equations on the board, turning her back to allow Gabriel to get to his seat. A greater kindness than she usually afforded tardy students! Kevin, the Key Club Psycho gave Gabriel his patented cold stare, saying nothing as always. Kevin- "..."

Gabriel's thank you is more a nod and a mumbled noise than anything else, but he's had a weird morning. He sits to the left of Todd and pulls his homework out of where he'd left it, between the pages of the book. He's pretty sure he did it at 2:00am, but that doesn't make it any less done. He's not worried about his accuracy; the class is two levels below what he took before he transferred. He takes Kevin's stare for about three minutes before his face flushes and he returns it, raising an eyebrow. He's not really in the right state of mind for this right now.

The class goes by slowly, with Mrs. Stoller cramming every minute with mathematical fun, with no talking allowed until the moment the bell rings. People sigh audibly and finally chat with their friends as they pack their bags up. Leah turns to Monah-- Leah- "Oh my god, you didn't eat that nasty locker candy did you? I was like, offended. That's so unsanitary!"
Todd looks a bit weirded out as he shuffles out of class with his peanut butter breath.

Beef seats himself in the corner, it was his claimed seat. He had done the homework in an hour last night and was pretty sure at least some of the answers were wrong.

SECOND PERIOD: Algebra This class is much more full than the previous advanced math, and the students a little more willing to test Mrs. Stoller's precious and scarce patience. The tardy bell is about to ring...! Julie and Susie are among the first attendees, and Frank Spilnick follows Beef to this class.

He watches Mrs. Stroller quietly with alert eyes. He was awake for now but might put his head down later.

Izzy finally showed up just before the late bell rang. Mrs. Stoller sighed at the half empty class room. Mrs. Stoller- "Hand your last assignment forward, please." Izzy looked a bit out of sorts, nervously dropping her notebook and saying "sorry" very quietly to no one in particular.

Beef hands in his half-assed math assignment. At least he had answers for all of them, that's like half-credit right?

Rudi slid into her seat near Julie and Susie in the nick of time. She pushed forward her homework assignment. She'd drawn a snake with eagle wings along one edge of the paper.
