((∆§Indea§∆ Kristi is prescribed skeletons Skullbooty - indea & kristi, whichever of ur guys was the boss is here, hanging out in a backup office space / employee rest area, doing reports for corporate. The night housecleaning dude is here eating a snack - skully play him if you want, otherwise don't bother and i will. Y'all use the graphics I gave you in PM.))
There's something wrong with that housecleaning guy. He comes in sick pretty often, and the one time he missed work he didn't bother to get a doctor's note. He probably won't be here long.
Does that lady suspect you pilfer stuff from the hotel to pay for crack? Damn. Eat your snacks. Play it cool.

Sandra Martin and Ricky Baez, the stars of this hotel's housekeeping team, had both brought complaints to their Manager, Jill Wang. Mrs. Martin let her know that The New Guy tends to lean against a cart whenever he noticed somebody else was doing the work, taking advantage of his coworkers earnest efforts, and Mr. Baez, rarely one to complain, had suspicions about what The New Guy was keeping in that bag he brought around with him.
Now, for the first time The New Guy was slacking off right under his manager's nose. Being engrossed in paperwork, she just now looked down at her watch. It occurred to her that her employee had spent the past half hour eating the same little bag of sour cream and onion potato chips. Jill used her handkerchief to wipe the ink from her palm for what seemed like the hundredth time, being left-handed, and drew in a breath. Jill - "Excuse me, but your break has been over for a little while now." She made at him a cheesy grin. "Remember our last talk? The one about how slacking off is stealing minutes from the company?"

((Skullbooty nm, I'll do this character. Later yo.))
He snapped to awareness like he'd been in a dream.
Mitch Bunstein- "Oh? Shit yeah, of course. Time is money is time, no question. Like, I'm straight on it, dude." He stood up too quick. Head rush! But he stuck the landing and started to head out.

Jill sighs. "At least his attitude isn't terrible." This would be Bunstein's last chance to prove himself. If he doesn't get any better, Mitch is getting tossed out on his rump... "in the most diplomatic fashion possible, of course."
((Thy Dungyeon Maestyr - Character thoughts are bolded, right?))

((It's not the convention I use but it's fine.))
Mitch done departed. To one direction, she heard him moving a cart. To the other, she could overhear the end of a conversation at the front counter but not any specific words. Sounded genial enough.

Just after Mitch left, Jill took a very brief call from a regular supplier. She hung up, removing her pinky from the point in the curly cord that was limp from years of habitual twirling.

Yes, that was the end of a conversation. The room was quiet again, but for the buzz of electronics. Would she play the radio? If so, what manner of music?

Jill would on occasion tune in to the local classical radio station for a little background noise, but would opt out if something cacophonous was on. She dialed in to see what was playing.

It was nice. Shortly, there was a sound of more foot traffic and talk in the lobby. Do dee do.

She heard something alarming.
Meg- "OKAY. NO PROBLEM.... CALL THE COPS. ...COPS..."

Jill, not one to take chances, immediately dialed 911. She never knew Meg to kick up such a fuss for nothing. Now, that one cousin her family had convinced her to intern last summer? That was a different story.
"There are no mice, Zheng. Stop shouting it for the guests to hear!" echoed memories of a whole summer of sending away exterminators summoned by a teenager.

As she was dialing, she immediately heard,
ManVoice- "WHOEVER'S BACK THERE, IF WE SEE A COP WE'RE KILLING EVERYONE."
A few words she couldn't quite hear, the sound of an approach, and this guy came all up in the room with a shotgun.
Charlie- "Hi there."

Jill gave the intruder a quick glance and saw he was armed. She drops the handset and dives under her desk. It was a pretty sturdy desk.
