Eric pondered if he valued his soul. If he had one. He figured he's see where they ended up. He was a grown-ass man and could always walk away if shit got too weird. On some level, he was really curious about where this was headed.

Marshall - "That's cool, I know--knew some people in bands. And you-- wait, a ventriloquist? ...Huh." He looked baffled for a while."Anyway, I do some... computer stuff. Any of you got a computer?" He didn't drive very well, everyone regularly slammed into the sides as he turned a corner too sharp. At least there weren't any close calls."I'm hoping they let me work on a computer soon, I don't really... yeah."

To Mason-Anthony"In front of my mirror, mostly." To Marshall"No personal computer, though there were several at the bank ... interesting machines. One step away from artificial intelligence." He couldn't decide if the huh was impressed or not. Probably not, but a guy could hope.

To Timothy-Robert,
Mason- "Ha, looks like we have that in common."
To Marshall, trying to ignore the shaky-ness of the van,
"Can't afford a computer, but I hear they're all the rage now. What's it like?"

They took a side road that opened up with sparse grassy lots and the thin air of a high hill environment. The van crunched gravel as it pulled up to a small portable building fifty yards from a radio satellite dish the size of a yacht. Judd, apparently- "This is the place, huh?" Charlie, so it seems- "Let's see what we came to see."

Eric- "Man, that's a big dish. I bet you can get Chinese cable on that thing." Eric was mad antsy and did his best to be the first person out of the van once the doors opened. Once outside, he moves so that nobody is standing between him and the road they came in on. He tried to pay attention to where the van keys disappeared to (or if they were just left in the car).

Mason was also quick to get out of the van. He whistled at the sight of the massive dish.
Mason- "Fancy."

Marshall - (to Mason) "Oh they're cool, you can play games-- like a Nintendo or whatever, and you can talk to other people--"
He pulled a sharp turn to park next to the building."--It's like a phone but like-- not. Like a phone but uh, you type... I just got mine from parts you can um, build them..." He turned off the engine, grabbed his ear and wiggled it, like he had an ear infection, and squinted. He looked dazed for a moment. "Okay. My job. So... I get the clipboard--" He fumbled for a clipboard he'd left on the dash. "Then I get out of the van--" He stepped out of the van, stumbling a little on the gravel. He leaned inside, and pointed at everyone with a ballpoint pen. "Gotta have a pen." He gestured at the satellite dish. "Okay, so I gotta check stuff off. See that dish there? Dish. Check." He drew an exaggerated mark on the paper.

Remember sketch-city? Okay. This guy was the mayor. The grand-potentate of sketchland. The president of sketc-- yeah. This guy was kinda creepy. Mason- "Oh thats.. pretty cool.." He drifted closer to Timothy and Holly,"So.. Where do we go from here?"

Couldn't be a huge black market for those, though he supposed that vandalism was a legitimate risk."Yes, well. Definitely there. Are you feeling all right, Marshall?" The poor guy seemed under the weather.

Judd, apparently- "Satellite bandits, haha. I love humor." A hoarse cry sounded from inside the portable building. Judd, apparently- "Is that on your list?" Charlie, so it seems- "*puts hands inside coat as if cold*"

What were children doing in this place? It must be tough being a working parent."Not a racoon - just a couple kids. Please don't frighten them." They seemed far too wired already.

Mason stared wide eyed at the woman and two children, who were clearly bothered by the site of the van. He looked back at the others, hoping they saw it too, and debated whether or not he should say anything..
Mason, noticeably surprised- ". . ."
