The lobby had gone quiet since the guests had arrived. Outside though, the nightlife was just starting and people were walking the streets, having bubbly conversations about their evening's plans. Marcus leaned against the wall, watching the passing humans with unblinking eyes. He spoke to Eli without turning.
Marcus- "Hello. You're going to see the trick? Or do we go to my suite."
{originally} Eli was a little hesitant coming down to the lobby, but he shrugged it off as he got closer. Such was the nature of his glorious quest for the booty. "Hmm... Why not both? What kind of magic trick is it?"

Marcus- "Hm, I've tried all ways. If you get a lot at once, you don't need to work as hard. We used to drink from the mouths of the masters, that's how they did it in the old days."
Marcus- "You and the other boy beat people? Tell me about it..."
{originally} "Oh, really? What if your progenitor didn't want to share? That would be really sad." "Hmm...Well, usually it's pretty much taunting people, or trying to get tough guys to come to us. Now that I think about it, last night was kind of funny in a weird way... Jason had to distract a whole bunch of cops and firefighters so I could rescue Vitus from the estate's fire... So he was just going wild beating on these beefy guys, jumping on a firetruck and everything. I only saw a bit, but it must have been pretty surreal, one blue haired punk fighting off all those cops." "I guess we do a lot of strange things now. But it makes for an interesting time, anyways. I hope hunting won't get too tedious one day."

Marcus- "Sounds quite amusing, wish I had seen it."
Marcus- "Mn, it can get tedious. As you get older, you will find new ways to amuse yourself. It think it is like for humans, to eating foods. Boring or not, you must, but more fun to enjoy yourself."
Marcus- "Do you kill a human yet?"
{originally} "Oh, no...Some kids have, though..." Though he said some, Eli only knew of one. But he didn't want to violate Jason's privacy. "Mostly I just want to kill Theodore, but I can't. Hmm...maybe Gaston-Louis, too, since he ran away like a coward..." "...Well, okay, he wears this really tacky 'ninja' attire, and maybe that is suffering enough for him. A fate worse than death..."

Marcus- "Ah yes, our enemy. Generally I find it distasteful to war against our own kind, but those who contravene the rightful law deserve punishment."
Marcus- "There have been many revolutions through time, I'm sure you know. Not just among humans. Oh that bloody Godchurch was a thorn in our side for years when it sprang up."
Marcus- "If I'm going to stay here, I'd be glad for this revolution to end soon. War is bleak, boring."
Marcus- "You drink blood straight from the flesh, don't you? I'm always shocked that some bother to bottle it first. What a filthy waste!"
{originally} "Thankfully, I'd say the Godchurch has been successfully defanged in Glenland, at least. Unless you find bake sales and saucy old ladies menacing. " "Yeah, it's pretty bleak already... I don't like seeing my friends get char-broiled. But I still kinda hope whoever gets their hands on him takes their sweet time, if you know what I mean...He certainly deserves a major beating." "Oh yeah, that's the best way to drink it. I guess storage would be okay for a wartime emergency, but I don't want to drink gross old blood if I don't have to."

Marcus- "I'm indeed glad how far the church has fallen. They used to hunt us, just like in fiction. Except they killed many, many more humans in the process. Many more than we could ever hope to! Hahahaha."
Marcus- "Sad that it is less fun to torture a vampire. While you can be more extreme in your methods, our pains are so much less entertaining to watch. Humans make the most ridiculous faces and you hardly have to lift a finger!" The bay came into view, humans walked the streets lined with clubs and art galleries. Marcus gazed out the window impassively. Marcus- "It'd be best to find heroin addicts, they're the most pliant and attractive of vagrants. We used to give them opium first, this is next best I suppose."

Marcus- "Haha, as you like. I can take care of the difficult part, child. You can drink from my mouth, or wherever you prefer. " He gestured for Eli to slow down near the hustlahs.

Eli slowed the car, letting Marcus make moves.Marcus frowned for a moment as he figured out how to roll down the window, and then addressed the hustlahs. Marcus- "Hello." He tossed a crumpled wall of bills on the sidewalk. Marcus- "Oops."

One snatched the money up quickly, then they snuggled on each other suggestively and gestured invitingly at the car's occupants.
Hustler One- "Hey dudes, what's up?"

Eli didn't know what was up, somehow. Marcus- "You come for a ride? We're going to see the water..."

Hustler One- "The water, huh? Well, whatever you like, man."
Hustler Two- "We're always down to help a new boy find a hot time."

Eli Sombreta-whispered something to Marcus, a question about getting high off blood. Maybe a better question would be if blood-borne pathogens were a thing for vamps to worry about, but OK.Marcus seemed mildly surprised by the ear whisper, but whispered back in a non-Sombreta style. Marcus- "We will feel much the same as they will, but it is shorter lived."
Marcus gestured for the boys to get in the back seat.
Marcus- "Hm let us find somewhere by the water... and privacy." Past the train station there was a road that led down to the far part of the water front, and crossed beneath the overpass. There were old docks there, but it would require getting out of the car and walking a bit. Eli could probably find a disused parking lot or an entrance to an alleyway that would be semi-private.

They were totally in and a place was totally found. Hustler One- "Ah yeah, the scenic back-alleys of piss-town. I'm into it."
Hustler Two- "Hey, you guys holding?"
