It's the twenty-eight of October, three days until Halloween night, and the White Gate Community Youth Group is on its way to Secher Farms. Secher Farms is a popular seasonal spot for its sprawling pumpkin patch and cute, little pick-your-own apple orchard during the day, but this bus was carting teens to enjoy the late night merriments: A solvable "murder mystery" with clues to be found throughout the farm and "haunted" house.
White Gate Community Youth Group is a diverse mix of kids needing something to do, either placed there by parents that needed a "babysitter", looking to keep their mischievous offspring out of trouble, or fun-loving types there of their own accord. Driving the bus was middle-aged and rough bearded Joseph Bosch, his hands clad in old leather driving gloves for warmth. In the front sat trip supervisor Gina Thompson, her Fulani earrings gently swaying as they drove over the rough dirt road.
Behind Ms. Thompson sat Sam Marshal and Zoe French, ever the loudest of the group, both giggling as Sam jokingly played at attempting to remove Zoe's glasses.
((Player instructions: Place your PCs as sitting somewhere near the front of the bus. Describe what they're doing, thinking about the trip/life, saying to one another. Use PC images as you wish.))

Colleen Mathews and Jake Baltimore sat in the third seat of the front of the bus, in the same seat. Colleen stared at her ex boyfriend distastefully, bottom lip curling downward in a fashion that completely exposed her two lip rings. Jake, having noticed the stare, chuckled in amusement.Jake- "What, have I got something in my teeth?" He said, sticking his fingers in his mouth and spreading his lips apart to expose his white teeth.
Colleen scoffed, "When I said 'we should sit next to each other,' I didn't mean in the same seat, moron."
Jake- "I know what you meant." Colleen huffed and crossed her arms. She had been down this road before. There was no arguing with Jake, she learned that much from dating him. Still, he was a good friend, even if at times he was insufferable.
Colleen- "..Whatever.."
Jake- "You could at least pretend you're having fun."
Colleen- "Hey, this was your idea. I'll be as miserable as I please." They went back and forth like this for few minutes, until Colleen eventually pulled out her phone and stuck a pair of earbuds in her ears, her gaze lazily transfixed at the scenery on the other side of the window as it zipped past.

Forty-five minutes into the drive Ms. Thompson was thinking it was rather strange that they were still on the same dirt road, and several of the passengers were becoming restless. She could hear Sam Marshall mumble something to her friend, who in turn asked in a boisterous voice that went all the way to the back of the bus,
Zoe - "Hey, Ms. Thompson! Shouldn't we be there by now?"
Gina - "You're right, but please keep your voice down. I'll talk to the driver."
Sam and Zoe - "Okay."
Gina got up as quickly as her body permitted her. She was a big woman, and this long ride in a supportless seat was causing her some lumbar pain. She walked up to the driver because she didn't wish to speak to the back of his head.
Gina - "Joseph, what's going on? ...Joseph?"
He wasn't responding, just staring ahead at the road unblinkingly. Gina shook his shoulder gently,
Gina - "Joseph!"
Sam - "What's the matter?" Sam called up in a worried tone.
Several of the passengers were muttering to each other, but the back of the bus had fallen silent.
Gina - "Something is wrong with our driver, but please stay calm as I try to figure out what's happening," Ms. Thompson calls out in an attempt to keep everyone calm."
As she attempted to get through to Mr. Bosch the bus suddenly turned onto an unkempt, brambly road. They passed some buildings, but it was so desolate it felt like they were driving to a private residence.
((Player instructions: Again, describe what your PCs are doing, thinking about, and saying to one another during this turn of events.))

Jake, too, took notice. He reached over pulled out Colleen's earbuds."Hey!" She protested, snatching the earbuds back. "Wassat for?" Jake- "Check it." He nodded out the window. Until that moment, Colleen hadn't even noticed the scenery had changed.
Colleen- "Woah. You think this is the right way?"
Jake- "No clue. I guess we'll find out when we get there." Wherever 'there' was.
Colleen- "Yeah.." Colleen sat up in her seat, turning her head to look at the other people in the bus. It was awfully quiet back there..

As the bus climbed over a steep hill its underside collided with the ground, creating a jolt that woke Adrian Han from his slumber. After briefly attempting to fix his hair, slightly altered from being pressed against the window, he tried waking the girl next to him by jostling her arm,
Adrian - "Hey, wake up. Do you know what's going on? Hey!"
He awkwardly maneuvered around his catatonic seatmate and struggled to steady himself as he climbed near the front.
Adrian - "Hey, Ms. Thompson. I think there's something wrong with-"
Before he could finish his sentence the bus suddenly lurched to the left and crashed carelessly through a skeletal thicket of wiry brush.
((Wait to post until the go ahead is given.))

Epilogue{Spoiler}On the side of a quiet, early morning road, Adrian, Coleen, and Ms. Thompson awoke in the nearly-empty bus. Coleen called on her phone for help, and the three were eventually returned to their families.
Authorities were baffled by the sudden disappearance of a driver and an entire busload of children, and the three remaining passengers weren't of any help when questioned, as they were equally baffled.
No remains would be found of any missing passengers, making for one of the strangest urban mysteries to befall the town of White Gate.
