Helen- "Great! This is going to be fun, you guys..."
She led them out to the bar. Fitzpatrick's was a cleaner-than-average dive bar. One small difference from many like it was that the TV was on soap operas instead of sports. Some hipsters were playing a drinking game off of it.

Quinn followed after Helen, looking around at everything. Of all the places he'd been dragged in these past few whirlwind days, Fitzpatrick's was definitely the most comfortable. It was clean, but seemed quieter somehow...more out-of-the-way. He didn't feel totally out of place here."Well, this is nice, actually. How long has this been here?"

Leo followed behind Quinn, scoping out the place. The hipsters were more her scene, but the drinking game was not. She scanned the room for someone who might seem interesting - Be it a wallflower, or a group of people that weren't drinking massive amounts of alcohol. "..."

Helen liked Quinn's demeanor and talked with him, while Darren and Courtney stood around awkwardly for the moment. Helen- "Oh, it's been here a very long time. Also, it's really amazing how much the people haven't changed. Aside from getting happier!" These guys- "..."
Ellen- "Happier? ... Nevermind."
Leo was ready for the chumps on the wall. Ellen almost followed her, but hung back. Pretty much everyone else was feeling less adventurous, and she ended up going off alone (barring Quinn changing course).
A couple of gothy ladies were sitting around a shy table, only one and a half emptied beer glasses between them. Another group was slightly more boisterous, but kept to themselves. Nerdboys. Then there were three other groups that were all geezers - the youngest group hovering in their thirties.

Quinn listened with interest while Helen talked about the bar and the people in it."And have you always owned it or did you just...acquire it?" He kept half an eye on his 'little sister', curious about how it would turn out. Maybe if she did well, he might feel a bit more like charging into the breach? For now, though, he stayed by the relative safety Helen provided.

Leo decided her best bet was the gothy ladies. She put on a smile and made her way over, swiping an empty glass of a nearby table as she did so, just for appearances sake. "Hey," She smiled, nodding to them. "Got room for one more?"

In Helifornia, Ellen Courtney and Darren quickly ended up separate from the other two. Helen kept on with Quinn. Helen- "Oh, I acquired it a really long time ago. Before the White Death, actually. Betcha couldn't tell this building is over a hundred years old, huh? The styles changed slow back then."
In Trilyeaux, Goth Girls- "... Er, yeh." "I guess so. What's up?"

In Trilyeaux,
Leo took a seat. For a second, she almost pointed out the fact they were on fire. Man, that flame thing was going to be tough getting used to. "Looking to make some new friends. You two live around here?"

In Helifornia - Quinn looked very carefully at the nearest wall as if he could divine the exact year from the bricks themselves. He couldn't, of course, but he could see a bit more clearly that there was 'age' there."Is it really? You've clearly taken good care of it in that case." Curious about the bar's owner herself, he ventured to ask a question or two."What possessed you to buy it in the first place? It doesn't seem as...flashy and extravagant as some of the other places we've been. I like it very much, of course, but I am curious."

Helifornia, Helen- "Mm... Just getting away I suppose. It's good to have your own place to be. I'm sure you'll be able to sometime. Santi is really nice and just look at Wilhelm! He lives well."
Trilyeaux, Goth Girl 1- "Yeah, not much reason to come to a little dive like this unless you live upstairs. We're close."
Goth Girl 2- "Kelsey, me, and five hundred roommates."
Goth Girl 1- "I'm Kelse, this is Sealynn."

In Helifornia - "Yes...Santi is a comfort. I quite like Vitus as well. I'm afraid I'm not as...outgoing and confident as my friends. It's good to know that quiet people can at least survive." He couldn't say that Santi was exactly flourishing from the way he was treated, but at least he had a niche for himself. Quinn smiled kindly at Helen. He quite liked her as well. She was boisterous, yes, but she lacked the certain sinister undertones of some of the others he'd met. He considered her for a moment and lowered his voice."I take it you and Lord Greyburn aren't...on the best of terms...?"The musician asked this carefully in case it was offensive or terribly private.

Helifornia, Helen- "... That's smart, yeah... I don't want to be around him. That's all..."
Helen- "Santi's the sweetest though! I don't know him as well as Ellen does. I think it's because I used to be better friends with Demetri or something, but he's still very nice. How do you like him?"

In Helifornia - Quinn nodded at her answer, letting that subject drop when she seemed reticent to talk. He was happy to talk about Santi, though."Oh, Santi is indeed a class act. He's quiet, but still rather a funny chap if you're paying attention. Best of all he's quite patient with me which is a...hm...a relief as I'm rather bad at this 'child of the night' lark thus far. He even indulged August in a bit of shooting at a range last night. It really pepped the boy up." He'd had to check himself from saying god-send at the last minute, feeling it might be inappropriate.

Helifornia, Helen- "Wow. Are all of the youths today into guns? Maybe Darren would be happy if he had a gun. What do you think?"
