Duannapar- "Uh... That's not what a lum-praan feels like. Sorry."
Gaston-Louis- "Pair'ap you simply begin to use your shadow bower without realizing."

Ru- "I feel like I'm dancing well for the first time. It's nice, but it isn't uh, magical-feeling. What's shadow bowering?" He asks Gaston-Louis curiously, and puts his hand on his hip delicately. He wasn't tiring from all of this dancing. Maybe his eternal life was meant to be spent doing the eternal grooves. That's where his musical background would come in handy! "What should I be feeling?"

"I expect that it's a very good thing, Jason. Perhaps this exercise helps us access supernatural abilities. It hones our focus and draws us closer to the mystical forces beyond the shrouuud. Look here. I shall try to manipulate the radiance that surrounds our veritable and venerable sensei. We royal Greyburns are children of illusions, after all. ee-Sah, ee-Sah, ayyoo ..." She focused on the sense of control over the light that radiated from Duannapar. Babette tried to draw it away to reveal the man behind the mortal flames.

To Ru's first question,
Gaston-Louis- "Deed Vitus teach you nothing on hiz night of training? The shadow bowerz, zey let you 'ide in ze shadows. Like ninja, non?"
To Ru's next question,
Duannapar- "Hell if I know what a bampire is supposed to feel like. These powas are for the humans, man."
To Jason, Gaston-Louis- "Well, eet iz not cool martial art powerz, but it is necessairey to learn tôt ou tard."
Duannapar- "Shadow powers? Sure. But you don't need me for that."
To Babette, Duannapar- "I have no idea what you're talking about, lady."
Gaston-Louis- "Now that iz interesting.
To the view of the vampires, she had magically pulled away the human's body heat with a "gathering kata," and held it between her hands like a bright fireball. Duannapar clearly could not see it.

Ru- "Well, uh, oh, that's what that was called. I did that a little bit. I wasn't really good at it, but I sort of did it. It wasn't that impressive really." Ru fiddles a little, and seems unsure of himself again. He kept an eye on Babette's activity. That was interesting. How did she do it? He tries to pull some of the heat into himself. Maybe he'd be able to do it too.
He gives it his best frownyface and then focuses on taking some of that heat away. Maybe he could make out the features after he did so. Focus focus... "Maybe we can have a shadow of that power..."

Jason bit his lip then spoke.
"Ah Gaston, why exactly havent you taught me any of these powers? Instead of having me learn this shit on my own.." As Bebette passed the fireball on to Jason, he made an attempt to catch it.
"..."

Before Babette's kamehameha,
Gaston-Louis- "Non, non, thees... This is not a bower we can do, it iz only for Greyburn ze illusion!"
Duannapar- "I'm still confuse... This is all gettin' too weird for me."
After Babette's move - still apparently invisible to Duannapar, Gaston-Louis- "Az I say, we cannot do thees! Bezides, it is not real. Of course, ze human is still warm. Do not be silly. Babette, she zhust lies wid ze light."
Duannapar- "Well, if you want it to be a mime school, maybe I call my cousin Eddie. He is a good mime, they say."
Babette's fireball exploded noiselessly on Jason, engulfing him in infrared flames. He could shake his arm around and watch the flames dance. Must be what it would be like to be a human with heat vision. From Ru's point of view, now it looked like Jason was as warm as Duannapar had been.
Meanwhile, it still looked like the human was stone cold. Was Gaston-Louis saying Babette was making an illusion? Then what about when they moved their heat around before? Was that an illusion too? And why can only Greyburns make illusions? Gaston-Louis. Not a very good teacher.

Ru- "Oh... I...I guess I better learn better ways to understand our powers then..." He tries to get in on that Jason flame manipulation, but perhaps to no effect.

Ru found once again that he could manipulate his own heat a little through the moves Duannapar was teaching. Whatever Babette was doing was seriously beyond him though, and he couldn't become as bright as Babette had made Jason through her weird moves.

Ru- "Whatever it is, you're a lot better at it, Babette..." Ru wasn't sure if they were really moving a lot around at all, but maybe it was illusion to other people. It was hard to tell really, being...illusionary..

He turned to Gaston.
"what do the Sombreta's specialize in?"

As Jason spoke to Gaston-Louis, Babette crept closer to Duannapar. Closer, closer ...
"Do you really know a cousin mime? See, I have aspirations to pen a movie about a mime who falls in love with a human statue. But neither can express their passion. Isn't that tragic?" She glanced at G-L, who hadn't risen above condescension and boredom since they began the lesson.
"Why do you put up with ..." She pointed to the dark, mysterious vampire. "... ahem."
