MEANWHILE,
Leo moved to the wall, far enough away from the wallflowers that if she fell, it wouldn't be on them. She started by placing both hands on the wall, bent her elbows, and leaned forward, trying to convince herself the wall was the floor. When that didn't work, she found herself uselessly jumping off the wall every time she tried to climb up it, occasionally running her hand over the surface, as if trying to find a groove to hang onto. Yeah, like that would help any. Why was this so hard? It looked like Trevor had it no problem.
Her next attempt would require a little bit of relaxation, so she inhaled and exhaled a few times and tried to clear her mind. Maybe this would do the trick, like with the shadows. She place her hands on the wall and tried again..
Sophie dropped to her hands and knees, starting on the floor and making her way up to the ceiling, looking like a less confident raft spider. She addressed the others.
Sophie-
"It's kind of floating on your back in Trevor-
a pool. So just concentrate on shifting "Right. You don't want
your weight to you hands and feet. to surprise yourself."
And uh, don't look down."
Trevor tried to casually have a seat on the ceiling. He started to fall, only catching himself when his feet came into contact with the ceiling. Surprise indeed. He felt like too much of his weight was out of contact with the surface and he'd be better off on his hands and knees. Or on his back, with his knees bent so he could keep the flats of his feet and palms of his hands on the surface.
Before he went to show off, Trevor definitely had an easier time staying secure to the wall than Sophie. It was easy to imagine that had something to do with being a lightweight lil' guy.
Leo was still having a problem with the wall. No stickin'. Courtney was also not making this happen.
Cameron finished with the moops and scaled a wall
partway, looking out at Courtney and the rest.
Courtney got up the walls a few steps. Her grip seemed more secure than
Sophie's had, but she wasn't as comfortable with her center as Trevor had been.
While all this was happening, Leo was constantly jumping up the wall, only to fall back
onto the floor. She tore off the headdress and tossed it across the floor in a fit of frustration.
She muttered, stepping away to relax some. Think of cute things, Trileon. Puppies. Rainbows. Fluffy clouds. After that was done, it was time to make one last attempt at the wall. She place both palms on the wall, bobbed on her heels a bit, and then tentatively brought up one foot. Center of gravity thing, right. Her focus was turned to trying to shift her weight on the wall, doing her best to manipulate her center of gravity, whatever that meant. This time, she was a little more determined than before.
Leo felt something, like it turned on, weirded her out and went away, then turned on again, off, then on, and finally...
It stayed. With total focus, she managed to get stuck to the wall. Huzzah! She had to move on her hands and knees, but she managed to get in place on the wall.
Trevor, who was ever quick to adjust, had started to feel that the ceiling was a perfectly ordinary place to be. He took in a slow, panoramic view of his upside down world and wondered if it was possible to get overly accustomed to this perspective.
Now that Leo had gotten the hang of it, she was ever so slowly making her way up the wall, but she wouldn't dare go on the ceiling. Fffffffuck that.
He whispered to Darren.
As soon as Leo's hair brushed against
the ceiling she stole a glance at the floor..
..And fell flat on her ass. Smooth, Trileon.
Apparently a fall of ten feet wasn't too bad, if you landed on something like the meaty part of da butt. Good to know. Leo had lost naught but the moment's dignity. Cameron hopped down as well but Courtney stayed on the wall, still trying to get more comfortable with the power.
She went to keep pace with Eli, which incidentally included a Darren.
The feeling of running gave Eli the urge to just sprint off into the night, away from
K-Horror madness and spooky monsters. But he was able to reign it in enough to
just sluggishly jog next to his non-athletic company.
Trileon had to slow herself down.
Cameron and Sophie also went to stair jogging. Courtney climbed down from
the wall carefully and waited for Trevor. She didn't seem inclined to hurry.
Trevor was trying to lie his way out of joining the others on the stairs.
He doubted Vitus really cared what he or the others decided to do.
She walked into the hall where Vitus slumped reading his book and slumped on the
wall opposite him. Trevor could see her from his vantage point, but Vitus less so.
Trevor heard him turn a page.

Trileon-
"Fuckin'.. get up there.."
Her next attempt would require a little bit of relaxation, so she inhaled and exhaled a few times and tried to clear her mind. Maybe this would do the trick, like with the shadows. She place her hands on the wall and tried again..

Leo was still having a problem with the wall. No stickin'. Courtney was also not making this happen.
Courtney-
"I can kinda stick my fingers, but that
won't hold me up. What gives?"
Cameron finished with the moops and scaled a wall
partway, looking out at Courtney and the rest.
In the moopy boy corner, Darren slumped down to his back again.
Cameron-
"Don't feel bad. Some of us practiced this before.
You gotta really push your center of gravity to the wall.
It's more important than the hands and feet, actually."
MEANWHILE,
Eli-
"Damn dude, I don't know how to feel about this..."
Darren-
"Feel sorry for the ship of fools heading for Monster Reef."
Eli-
"Man-- ugh-- maybe we should talk about something else.
Okay, if we're opting out of monster town, what's next for us?
What's our next move?"
Darren-
"Guess then we'll be ready for the graveyard tour..."
He gestured a mum to the lips. Did he have a plan?
Eli raised every eyebrow.
Eli-
"Oh...? Hm, do I need to don my aluminum helm first?"
Darren-
"Appropriate headgear for imaginary shots at triumph..."
Courtney-
"Dang it. OK. I... I got it. I got it."
Courtney got up the walls a few steps. Her grip seemed more secure than
Sophie's had, but she wasn't as comfortable with her center as Trevor had been.
Cameron-
"Alright, aside from Abstinence-Only Education in the corner there,
the only guy left who hasn't got it down yet is Leo. Remember what
I said about your center of gravity. You can do it."
Eli-
"Oh that's a tasteless analogy."
While all this was happening, Leo was constantly jumping up the wall, only to fall back
onto the floor. She tore off the headdress and tossed it across the floor in a fit of frustration.
Trileon-
"Stupid powers.."
She muttered, stepping away to relax some. Think of cute things, Trileon. Puppies. Rainbows. Fluffy clouds. After that was done, it was time to make one last attempt at the wall. Cameron-
"Lee-Oh, you can do it. Yeah!"
Leo felt something, like it turned on, weirded her out and went away, then turned on again, off, then on, and finally...

"Ha, Sure did Eli! Check this shit out!"
Eli-
"Wh--wow, uh-- that's pretty... incredible, dude!"
He whispered to Darren.
Eli-
"Too late for an exorcism, huh..."
Darren-
"The latest."
As soon as Leo's hair brushed against
the ceiling she stole a glance at the floor..
Trileon-
"This is easier than I--"
Trileon-
"Fuck!"
..And fell flat on her ass.
Cameron-
"Sorry, Leo. Yeah, it's a little tricky. Hey, I'm not sure what other
powers we have that we can practice. Me and probably Sophie could
talk to a cat if we had one, but I got the impression you guys can't."
Sophie-
"Hey VITUS! What's next?"
He came back in.
Vitus-
"Erm, yeah?"
Cameron-
"Walkin' on walls and shadow stuff.
We got it. What else is there?"
Vitus-
"That doesn't burn up your blood too fast? There's mesmerism, but
we need humans to practice on... Oh, I know. As a vampire, you don't tire
from exertion the way humans do. If you don't push yourself, you can still
do some things a lot longer than a human can, with their shortness of breath.
So... Without pushing yourself, I'd like everyone to jog all the way downstairs
and back. But be sure to not go faster or move powerfully - test your ability
to work within your natural limits. If you try to go too fast or too hard,
it will start to use up your blood. OK?"
Darren-
"...ugh--"
Darren-
"Oh, um, yeah. We should do that one, sure."
Eli-
" *sigh* It really is bootcamp...
Or first year theater."
Cameron-
"Not worried about turning
into scary leg guys?"
Darren-
"How very droll..."
Trileon-
"This was really fun, thanks for the help y'all."
"Hey Rojo, hold up. I'm coming with you."
She went to keep pace with Eli, which incidentally included a Darren.
The feeling of running gave Eli the urge to just sprint off into the night, away from
K-Horror madness and spooky monsters. But he was able to reign it in enough to

Trileon had to slow herself down.
Eli-
"...This better not turn into vampire fieldball. No
organized sports. I made an oath, dudes. An oath."
Cameron and Sophie also went to stair jogging. Courtney climbed down from
the wall carefully and waited for Trevor. She didn't seem inclined to hurry.
Courtney- Trevor-
"What do they call "Gym is called 体育 in Kohon. I think I need
gym class in Kohon?" to practice this more, so I will be up here."
Trevor was trying to lie his way out of joining the others on the stairs.
He doubted Vitus really cared what he or the others decided to do.
Courtney-
"Yeah, we decided to run down the
other stairwell and back. It was brutal."
She walked into the hall where Vitus slumped reading his book and slumped on the
wall opposite him. Trevor could see her from his vantage point, but Vitus less so.
Vitus-
"Mm. Yeah."
Trevor heard him turn a page.
{originally}
Cameron and surprisingly Darren were quick to join the stair joggers. ((I imagine Sophie as well.)) Courtney climbed down from the wall carefully and waited for Trevor. She didn't seem inclined to hurry.
On the stairs a short way after the lead joggers,
Eli was undoubtedly pleased to find this task was hella easy. He could skip stairs, and of course, never break a sweat. Seems like in places with bad enough traffic, vampires would be better off jogging - unless they can fly like the trenchcoated one.

Courtney-
"What do they call gym class in Kohon?"
On the stairs a short way after the lead joggers,
Cameron-
"This seems unnecessarily rough on a fancy-ass suit."
Darren-
"Why do they bother? I think this goofy-ass shirt I'm wearing cost a hundred bucks."
