Trap Door'd!'
Ru plummeted down a very narrow chute, hearing machinery grinding above him, pistons pumping and wheels turning. He landed hard on some soft earth and tumbled rapidly onto a cold concrete floor.

Ru- Ru looked around in the darkness and wondered where he was supposed to go now, and what he was supposed to do.
He surveyed his new surroundings. How strange... "Babette? Sophie?"

Nothing but a distant grind of machines from above in reply. He was in an irregular room, clearly excavated from earth and held up with wooden beams - a mine? But the concrete floor was level and after a few feet was paved with black and white tiles.
There was only one way to go. He walked into the hall. Unlike the first chamber he was deposited in, this had a plaster roof and walls. He couldn't see very well in the bare heat light, but there were lightbulbs dangling above. Did he pull the chains beside them as he went?

Ru- Ru pulls the chains beside them, and seems to wonder how on earth he will either get back to the others or just get out of here, period. Exploring was a terrible idea.
And where was he?
Ru continued to walk along the path and examined everything with some muted interest, mostly wondering how this whole place could exist besides as a set. "...Uhh...huh..."

The light bulbs came on, burned out, or didn't work, seemingly at random. But the illumination worked well enough for his new eyes. He came to a single door at the end of the hall. It was unlocked. How did he go about it?

Ru- Ru listened to the sounds on the other side of the door, and if there was nothing, he would open it slowly and moves through!
His movement is very slow and tentative throughout all of this.

The light came in behind him and filled the space with dim illumination. He could see a confused scene. It looked a bit like a Litanian restaurant, but with many tables knocked over and scattered, and unmoving forms tangled among the chairs and other debris. Corny fake stars made out of foil dangled from the ceiling.

Ru- He stared at it. More set?! More?
Ru moved among the chairs to investigate. Was this part of another movie? One he recognized? Was this all August's dream? He looked for anything relevant while seeking an exit.
He stared at a single corny star and was mysteriously reminded of Babette... "..." He looked for a door to the outside. Where /were/ they?

Leaving the door he'd come in from open was necessary to help see in here. The walls were alcoved and more than one alcove seemed to have a door, but something among the tangled humanoid forms was distracting from the way out.
They were skeletonized corpses in remnants of suits. A few clutched handguns in their fingers, and one...
A classic submachinegun with a cylindrical ammo drum!

He held the SMG. It was heavy. Only one way to know if it was real - particularly, to know if the bullets were not blanks. Would he fire it?

Ru- Even as a vampire, Ru was way too afraid of shooting himself in the face with a treacherous weapon like a semi-automatic gun. Maybe he could bring it to August. August might know...
He tried not to look at the creepy corpses, and chose a door to make his way out from!

((Damn. Didn't get to use this.))Ru checked out the closes alcove door. It was a rickety wooden thing and opened onto a deep dark mound of dirt and skeletons.
The second led to another black and white tiled hall. Did he check the third before moving on?

((I wanted to use it too. DAMN YOU RUUuuu)) Ru- "...!" Ru stifled saying the word GODS loudly with the skeleton door, and quickly vacated that one before looking at the third door.
He carried the machine-gun in an unwieldy way that wasn't particularly practical for someone who wanted to use or fire such a weapon.
This place was giving him the chills. He bet August would have been able to deal with all this without blinking.
'Oh yeah this is just like home Crickedy Bloke Roo Roo...'

The third door went to ... a short drop. It was a spiral stairwell, but the door didn't neatly line up with the closest stop. The walls were wet stone, the air earthy and moist, and the wood of the stairs slick but thick and sturdy looking.
The well went down one floor - he could see the bottom from here - and there was cool electric light from below. Above... It seemed to reach into the darkness forever.
