"Its' been a pleasure." Jason casually strides away as he waves "good-bye" to his acquaintances.

The table was barely open when August arrived in front of this pair.
"Goodevening folks, may I sit and chat with you for a bit? I'm August Hayes, the director." ((Sorry folks, it was the only table August hadn't been free. ))

Ellen- "Hey."
Lord Greyburn- "As you like, gentle youth."
Ellen- "August, I'm Ellen and this is Aubrey - maybe you know him as Auberon."

August sat down with an embarrassed smile. “Aw shootfire, I've heard the others mention you but I'm not so familiar myself. You're like a fashion icon, right? I'm really sorry sir. Your outfit is quite bombaroo I must say. I love the use of line and colour! It's a work of art. I ah just hope that isn't a real bird though, I'm vegan. It's a pleasure to meet you both, though. Do ya have any questions about the film or anything to start?”

Lord Greyburn- "Indeed! Why thank you, so kind... You are a fine sort of fellow."
Ellen- "Yeah... So why vampires, August?"

"Why not? There is so much there to use, the deep mythos surrounding them. They represent so much, it's like a rich stew. They represent eternity, death and fear on one hand. Then on the other they also represent our deepest desires, lust and sex. How can things that bring life and things made of death be connected? That's what I hope my film explores. Why? What are your thoughts on vampires, Ellen?" August was laying the intellectual artiste thing on a bit thick, this girl was kinda cute.

Ellen- "Mm... I wonder, if vampires were real, what would they think of being used as metaphors for lofty things? Do you think they'd find it insulting or flattering? How would you feel if you were in that position?"
Lord Greyburn- "All this quibble about the meanings of things... I fear culture has receded from me as a tide from a shore."

This girl was tough, August scrambled for a good answer.“Well, um I was talking more symbology. Err neither, I think if they were real, they'd understand the difference between meaning in art and meaning in life. If they were real I guess there would be more gravity in their interpretations though. If I was was a vampire I'd see the difference between reality of vampirism and the art of it in film. So ah lucky for me they aren't. So ah what do you think?

Ellen- "I guess I'd have to see the film to make conjecture. I did see Burning's Lord Demos, and I expect a vampire would find that movie incredibly silly and somewhat insulting. I think that cinema hasn't made up its mind about the basic cognitive functions of vampires. Are they mindless animals or as thoughtful as humans? Does hunger drive them like a human opium addict, or is it less fearsome than all of that? What did you decide for your own film?"
Lord Greyburn- "..."

“Eh my vampire was thoughtful, not of the human realm but not an animal either. He wasn't a blood junkie but enjoys the thrill of the hunt, that's what I was going for. Vampires are still human in element and I think they yearn to be fully human again. It's this desire I think that causes them to hunger human blood. I did let my actor decide some of his own interpretation too. Gee, you're very smart and pretty if you don't mind me saying. What do you do Ellen? Are you a student at HU?”

Ellen- "I'm affiliated wit--"
Lord Greyburn- "Ellen, why have you brought up these terribly boring things? Why don't we talk about... martyrdom, or what it's like to feel the threat of death looming above? Is there any type of fleshly harm you'd be especially disturbed by and why?"
Ellen- "Er, like for a movie or something, like, what's going too far?"
Lord Greyburn- "What? I do not--"
Ellen- "It's OK, dad. We're doing OK."

“Oh oh alrighty then, had me worried for a second. You're a real card, sir. Being vegan, I'm deadset against torture as a general rule. There's no need to be pointlessly shocking, the human form is something to be revered. As for martyrdom, I hope to make a film worth dying for one day, something that'll live on after me ya know." August stood up with a smile."Well, it's been real interesting talking to you both. I think I might head on to another table before I wear out my welcome. Have a good one.”

Ellen- "That could have gone better."
Lord Greyburn- "I think we know who is to blame."
The table was open.

Loosened up after a few beers, Sophie had to refrain from skipping to this table."Hello, I'm Sophie! I did the costuming on the film." She offers her hand to them both. "Mind if I sit with you?"
