Behind the double wood doors of the entrance visitors are greeted by a short hallway which opens into a room with coat-racks, cubbys, and a mysterious cabinet.
The floors are wood and though once expensive, they have been scuffed and dulled by lack of proper upkeep. The decorative Persian rug is muddy and stained from use.
The doors have been barred and barricaded from the inside to prevent unwanted guests. The hardwood has since been reinforced with iron bars to protect the persons inside, and several locks were added.

The lock jiggles and after some fumbling, the door swings open. The wide figure of Breg walks through the door, and quickly shuts the door behind him, locking it, before hauling back two large dufflebags further into the room. He unpacks the mysterious packages carefully and then enters the house proper.

As the others talk in the common room, there is a quiet knock on the door. It seems almost hesitant, though its urgency is unmistakable. There were no other sounds from outside, not even a voice.
Rap rap rap.
Then silence.

A few minutes after the initial rapping, and after much discussion, heavy footfalls entered the hallway. Breg frowned, and then spoke "Hello, I have a question for you. Where were you born?" His voice was decidedly small for someone of his height. Door- The reply was somewhat muffled the first time.

Wolf stood tensely near the back of the group. His right hand was behind his back, clutching his knife.[/i]

Molly hid behind Sylvia. With her aluminum cane in one hand, she peeked around the much taller woman."Wha ... what was that? Why isn't he answering properly? Somebody ask another question!"

Anya moved closer to the door and had Zebra at the ready. This was getting a bit silly, she was almost ready to bust open the door and bring Zebra down on whoever was there."Maybe we should just open the door a smidge? How bad can it be?"

Breg turns the knob slowly, and then waits. He hesitates. "Where did you come from?" Door- "Two doors down!" The voice sounded strange, maybe a little gurgly. It had a lazy urgency about it.

Wolf had a bad feeling about this. He took a tentative step forward, blocking Caleb's view of the door.[/i]

Breg opens the door a little more and then stands back, seeming tense. He keeps his foot pressed to the side to prevent it from being thrust open. Person-- "Help...mee..." His voice was clearer but had a more obvious rattle now. A thin asian man walked, almost fell, in, bleeding profusely from his neck. It appears that he was bitten or attacked by something, though it did not nick either his main artery or vein in his throat, instead tearing open his trachea.

Anya was relived that Caleb couldn't see this, good old Wolf. She felt a little sick herself, that much blood turned her stomach a little. She bit her lip and turned in Caleb's direct.
"CALEB, DON'T LOOK or I'll kill you myself. Now go and find Sister Blaze as quickly as you can. Tell her it's an emergency and to bring her stuff ASAP!" Caleb went scurrying off tout suit to find sister Blaze. He knew better than to disobey Anya when she used that tone. He was a little disapointed though.
(( GM- You decide if he A) finds her and B) if it's in time. Feel free to take control of his actions and what happens to him for this bit.))

Breg was not quite satisfied with his humanity, and asked him another question, quickly, before opening the door. Perhaps rightfully, the man was deathly pale, and soaked with blood. He hadn't had much experience with this, but that seemed almost too much blood. "Where did you go to school?" Man-- "...Jeesssuuusss...Whyyy.....Colombia High School." His eyes were pleading. He clutched Breg's shirt, and Breg steadied the man carefully. He was terribly thin, and seemed to have fingernail wounds on her shoulder and neck. Most of the area had been cleared of zombies, and they had set up barriers to further creatures. There must be something out there, beyond, or maybe he came from affar. He was no one they knew. Caleb finds Sister Blaze outside in the yard, enjoying the sunset. "You look winded, child,is something the matter?"

"SISTER... Ugh....BLAZE! IT'S... AN EM..MER..GEN...CY! There's some man in trouble, I think. No one would let me look but Anya said you'd need your stuff. COME on!"
Caleb practically dragged Sister Blaze back into the building in his attempt to get back to the excitement.

"I don't have my medicine bag if it's THAT kind of emergency. Get my big white bag from upstairs..It's the only bag, on my desk." She was well aware children were never able to find a darn thing on most occasions. "I'll go take a look." She rose, slowly, and hobbled over to the Entrance hall. Caleb returns shortly thereafter with a medicine bag. "...This wound is not bad, but he's lost a lot of blood. How did this happen?"
